Luis Barboza's 25-year history in the hospitality industry brings experience in a variety of brands and properties. During his career, he has held leadership positions such as Sales Management for Orient Express hotels in Peru. Later, as General Manager of the Sonesta Posadas del Inca Cusco and Sonesta Posadas del Inca Yucay hotels, in the Cusco region. In 2007 Luis Barboza moved to southern Peru to work as manager of the Libertador Hotel Lake Titicaca.After two years, in 2009, Lu is settled in Lima, the Peruvian capital, where he assumed the role of Director of Operations of Intursa Hotels, leading the operational leadership of seven brand properties in the Marriott International portfolio, three of them part of The Luxury Collections. During that period he participated in remodeling projects in two of the hotels and in the transition from Palacio de Inka to a Luxury Collection Hotel in 2009.In 2015, the executive assumes the position of general manager of The Westin Lima Hotel & Convention Center. Under his leadership, the positioning of this property stands out, for 2 consecutive years, as the number 1 hotel in the Westin Hotels Global Recommendation Intent Index, the highest indicator of customer satisfaction, and in the Top 10 of Trip Advisor Travelers Choice Awards in the Luxury Hotels category. In addition, he was actively involved in planning the opening of the AC Hotel Lima Miraflores and Aloft Lima Miraflores hotels.In 2022 his i nternational experience comes from the hand of Marriott International, when he is appointed General Manager of the Santa Marta Marriott Resort Playa Dormida, a position he assumes with the firm commitment to maintain the positioning of the destination and the property, providing memorable and enriching experiences to the guests, domestic and foreign.Luis not only shines in his leadership, he is also characterized by creating environments that foster the growth and development of human talent, something that is reflected in his vocation as a teacher, teaching at the Antonio Ruiz de Montoya and Toulouse Lautrec Peruvian universities, as well as at the Tourism Training Center. He is a fan of the world of cinema, auto mechanics, dogs and running.
