The principle of equal treatment and unrestricted access to opportunities of assertion for women and men, together with the elimination of discriminatory practices based on gender criteria for equal access of women in all areas of public life, are essential pillars of democratic and inclusive societies, and key indicators of respect for human rights and the rule of law, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) conveys in a message on the National Day of Equal Opportunities between Women and Men.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, quoted by Agerpres, said it  "is constantly concerned with ensuring equitable representation from a gender perspective, both in the external service and in its central apparatus, aiming to imprint an institutional model of good practice in the field of equal opportunities."
