Man arrested after drugs bust on the northside

A man has been arrested, following a drugs bust on the northside.
It happened yesterday at around 9 o'clock last night when Gardaí attached to the Divisional Drug Unit conducted a surveillance operation on the Greencastle Road in Coolock.
During the course of the exercise, a man in his 30's was stopped and searched.
Eight large bags of suspected cocaine, weighing around 1 kilo, were found concealed in his possession.
The drugs are said to have a street value of up to 65-grand.
The man was arrested by the Guards and taken to Coolock Garda Station, where he's currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
