A Nashville paramedic is facing double homicide charges in connection with the shooting deaths of his wife and father-in-law earlier this year.
Matthew Konen, a five-year veteran with the Nashville Fire Department, was arrested Tuesday in connection to the deaths of Rachel Konen, 30, and her father, David Rodgers, 62, according to Clarksville Police Department and Nashville fire officials.
Konen, 31, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
The double shooting took place about 6:40 p.m. on Jan. 20 in the 500 block of Westwood Drive in the Sango area, police reported.
At the scene, police reported, officers found Konen's wife and his father-in-law dead.
