McCall Writing Prize accepting student submissions
COURTESY OF SHREYA JHA
The annual McCall Writing Prize competition is open to all Winchester Public Schools students in grades 3-12. Submissions are due May 15.
There are three different topics: an essay on an impacting historical event; a literature story; and an essay on one thing you would change about this planet. Each student's entry may only focus on one topic; failure to do so may result in disqualification.
Each essay is limited to 1,500 words. Only original, non-published submissions on the designated topics will be accepted. Any essays/stories submitted after the closing date may not be considered.
