Mentorcam, which develops a video messaging platform, has raised $1.4M in a seed funding round, the company said on Tuesday. The funding was led by General Catalyst, and also included Studio VC, Kosinski Ventures, Realize Tech Fund and angels. The startup--led by CEO Rune Hauge--offers up a video messaging platform which helps consumers gain access to personal advice from experts in a variety of fields. The company's app runs on both iOS and Android.
