Mount Pulaski Courthouse reopens with a new feature

Mount Pulaski, Il. - The Mount Pulaski Courthouse State Historic Site will be reopening from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, but will have a limited staff and reduced hours.
The historic icon will also start a new free puzzle library program for the public to enjoy.
In the midst of the pandemic, puzzles have been a favorite pastime. In the Mount Pulaski community, many private puzzle exchanges have been occurring and a Facebook puzzle group has even been created.
Courthouse Foundation Secretary, Julie Wubben, came up with the idea to provide a central location to store puzzles for the community and make sharing easier. Site Manager, Renee Martin, is implementing Wubben’s idea by providing a bookcase that will be housed inside the courthouse and display any available puzzles.
