Farmers group in Negros Occidental to continue selling rice at P25 per kilo despite dry spell. President of Federation of Irrigators Association Central Negros-Bago River Irrigation System, Pedro Limpangog, announced plans to sell rice at a low cost to senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and indigent residents. The group covers around 11,000 hectares of rice fields and is implementing water delivery systems to combat the dry spell. NIA-BRIS is closely monitoring the irrigation system against garbage dumping by residents.
