Big Brothers Big Sisters of Portage la Prairie, Inc. officially announced the organization will be carrying on under a new moniker, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Plains, Inc.
After the national logo changed in 2019, Big Brothers and Sisters of Portage, while discussing changing their signage began to also discuss their name and came to the conclusion that it does not really reflect the area they serve.

Over the years Big Brothers and Big Sisters has expanded their programs to include the communities of Oakville, MacGregor and Gladstone, and wanted a name that would reflect what they are really doing.
