A new organization called "WEcareGR" is partnering with schools and volunteers to write to residents in nursing homes who may be lonely during the holidays.
The project is called "Make a Friend, Save a Life" and has connected almost 100 residents with pen pals and local schools that send letters and artwork.
WEcareGR was founded after Audrey Wendt raised over 15-thousand-dollars for in school supplies for Buchanan Elementary in October.
