Newark officers as well as a firearms and dogs unit were instrumental in the rescue of a stolen Springer Spaniel.
Dog Lupin was stolen from his owners farmhouse in Leicestershire at around 10.30pm yesterday (March 3).
The vehicle involved was spotted a short time later in the Nottinghamshire area and subsequently failed to stop for Lincolnshire firearms officers who gave pursuit.
Lupin is now home safe with his owners. (44846965)
Alerted to the incident Newark Rota 2 response officers and Nottingham firearms and dog units also attended the area in search of the suspects who had now fled on foot in Besthorpe.
