Ogden Canyon closed due to a grass fire, UDOT says

OGDEN — A grass fire in Ogden Canyon has shut down state Route 39 through the canyon, according to the Utah Department of Transportation.
The temporary closure is between the mouth of the canyon near Ogden and Pineview Reservoir. Drivers have been advised to seek an alternate route.

Utah fire officials said that resources are currently responding to the fire which is showing active fire behavior. At about 7:30 p.m. officials said that structures were threatened but by 8:30 p.m. the structures were no longer threatened.
