The Pickens County Coroner's Office had not identified the victim as of Friday morning.
A Dodge pick-up truck was traveling west on U.S. 178 and Toyota SUV traveling east at 10:15 p.m.. The SUV attempted to make a turn onto Slab Bridge Road when both collided, according to Highway Patrol Cpl. Matt Southern.
