OWWA distributes checks for distressed Aklanon OFWs

KALIBO, Aklan, May 7 (PIA) - The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) recently distributed a total of P600,000.00 in checks to distressed Aklanon Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their beneficiaries, and to other recipients of the various services and programs of the agency.
On hand to lead in the distribution of checks to 32 beneficiaries under the Balik Pinas, Balik Hanapbuhay Program (BPBH), Educational and Livelihood Assistance Program (ELAP); Overseas Development Scholarship Program (ODSP), Welfare Assistance Program (WAP), and Project Alalay Para sa Mga Anak OFWS SA Panahon ng Pandemya (PAP) were OWWA Deputy Administrators Esther Margaux "Mocha" J. Uson and Faustino L. Sabarez III together with OWWA 6 Officer-In-Charge Rizza Joy M. Moldes.
