A total of 23 officers and non-commissioned officers of the National Police of Peru (PNP) have successfully completed a training session on human rights, organized by the Directorate General of Democratic Security at the Interior Ministry (Mininter).
The activity was intended to provide them with basic notions on methodological and pedagogical instruments to share the human rights doctrine.
Another aim was to train them in techniques —used in interventions— that comply with fundamental rights standards.
The closing ceremony of the "XI Course of Instructors in Human Rights Applicable to the Police Function" was led by Interior Minister Jose Elice, who stressed the importance of training the PNP staff in this area.
