Pir Panchal Region Faces Militancy Resurgence?

In a recent two-day gun battle in Rajouri's Bajimaal area, five soldiers, including Captain MV Pranjal and Captain Shubham Gupta, lost their lives. Two Pakistani militants were killed, leading to a successful conclusion of the operation. The clash followed a month-long monitoring of militant movements. The army recovered a significant cache of weapons. The operation began on November 17, initiated by the killing of a militant in Behrote Budhal. The militants, including a top LeT commander, were involved in previous attacks. The Pir Panchal region faces a resurgence of militancy, with the twin districts witnessing frequent encounters.
