CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Pisgah Elementary School on Hazelwood Road experienced two brief lockouts Friday morning, as the school took precautions from two unrelated incidents near the school.
This is the second day in a row that a Clarksville-Montgomery County elementary school has experienced a lockout.
Thursday morning, Glenellen Elementary had a lockout that lasted into the afternoon due to a nearby standoff with a barricaded subject on Applemill Court. That situation was resolved around 6:40 p.m.
Parents were alerted to the first lockout at Pisgah at 9:32 a.m., and it was lifted less than 10 minutes later.
According to Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Sandra Brandon, law enforcement received reports of a suspicious person walking on Trenton Road just under 2 miles from the school.
