David Romeo Garza Jr., 23, is accused of fatally shooting Laredo Heat Coach Jose Eduardo Salinas Jr., 22, in the face back in 2018.
According to online court records, Garza’s attorney, Marcel Notzon, drafted a plea agreement that he will present to the Webb County District Attorney’s Office.
Last July, a status hearing occurred via Zoom where Garza was present via audio because he was having trouble connecting. He was home with COVID-19, according to the hearing notes.
The case unfolded just shy of 2 a.m. on March 6, 2018 at a gathering in the 1100 block of Topaz Trail in the Tiara De San Isidro Subdivision.
