A 30-year-old police constable named Manish Maheriya ended his life at his home in the government quarters at Vapi GIDC police colony. The incident took place on Monday. Preliminary investigation suggests that Maheriya was stressed out and had been behaving differently with his colleagues. He was married for over seven years but did not have any children. His body was found hanging in the kitchen. Police will question his family and friends to determine the reason behind the suicide.
