Taipei, May 31 (CNA) Premier Su Tseng-chang (蘇貞昌) on Monday asked the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) to provide regular updates on applications by private interests to donate COVID-19 vaccines from abroad as case numbers continue to rise in Taiwan.
Su also asked the Food and Drug Administration to speed up its screening of those applications and verify the sources of the vaccines being offered, according to Cabinet spokesman Lo Ping-cheng (羅秉成).
The premier gave these instructions during a meeting with Cabinet officials early Monday to examine Taiwan's current COVID-19 control measures, Lo said.
