Project 007 Could Be Another Trilogy of Games for IO Interactive

Now that Hitman 3 is done and out of the way, it's time for IO Interactive to properly get to work on Project 007. It's still very early in its development cycle so don't expect to see any footage or teasers for at least a couple of years, but it's already clear the developer has big plans for the project. In fact, the Danish team could easily envision a full trilogy of titles for its "completely original story" based on James Bond.
In an interview with Danish outlet Dr.dk, IO Interactive director Hakan Abrak talks of how the developer is coming up with its own take on the famous spy — it won't be using any actors who have previously played the role on the big screen. "We have been allowed to make our own digital Bond, which will not lean on a Bond actor. We also come up with a completely original story, and you could easily imagine that a trilogy could come out of it." Abrak then goes on to discuss the board room meeting with IP holders MGM and EON Productions, which saw the company land the role of bringing James Bond back to the gaming industry in a big way.
