Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act funding dominated most of the discussion at the regularly scheduled Tuesday morning meeting of the Arkansas County Quorum Court.
Arkansas County Clerk Melissa Wood gave an update on CARES Act Funding for the county, which totaled $628,842.52. To date, $6,386.78 has been spent. Hand-sanitizing stations and batteries for the Arkansas County Courthouse in DeWitt and courthouse annex in Stuttgart were purchased for $695.78, the court screener has been paid $891, and $4,800 has been paid to county employees producing proof of COVID-19 vaccinations. Wood said approximately half of all county employees have been fully vaccinated.
