Ravindra Waikar, a close aide of Uddhav Thackeray, has joined the Shiv Sena (shinde) in a move that could hurt the UBT faction. Waikar had business interests with the Thackeray family and was being probed by the Enforcement Directorate for constructing a hotel on a plot of land reserved by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation for a garden.
