Reading man charged with sexually abusing an 8-year-old

A Reading man was charged Wednesday with sexually abusing a young boy, county detectives said. 
Jose M. Sosa, 75, was charged with indecent assault, corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children. 
Sosa surrendered to detectives Wednesday afternoon. He was arraigned before District Judge Tonya Butler, who set Sosa's bail at $10,000 unsecured.

The Reading Police Department received a report on Oct. 10 of a young child being sexually abused. The department referred the case to the Berks County Detective’s Office.
On Oct. 13, county detectives received a report from the state Childline Referral about a sexual abuse victim identified as an 8-year-old boy.
