Researcher illustrates animal behaviour in wildfire-burned forest

Geneviève Degré-Timmons is studying why caribou use burned lands and when they stop using them. While she is in the midst of her PhD, she has created a painting to represent the cycle of the boreal forest and how caribou interact within it.
