Rwandan Court Sentences Kenyan Fraudsters

The Gasabo Intermediate court has sentenced a team of notorious bank hackers of Kenyan, Ugandan and Rwandan nationalities.
All the 22 accused, who were arrested in November 2019, have been handed down eight years in prison and instructed to pay Rwf50 million in damages and about Rwf3 million for other charges . The court pronounced the verdict on Friday July 2.
The court tendered the verdict on the five charges; unauthorized access to s computer or a computer system data; access to data with intent to commit an offence; unauthorised modification of computer or computer system data; theft; and formation of or joining a criminal association.
