State Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Sim Kui Hian
(pic) said in a Facebook post Friday (April 30) that private healthcare facilities will be involved as well as public facilities in dispensing the injections, while more types of vaccines are expected to be made available from May.
He added that through working closely with the Health Ministry and Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF), the state would have sufficient supply of vaccines.
However, he was worried about the low registration in the state for the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.
"Current registration through the MySejahtera app is probably around 55% or 868,000 of the state's 1.2 million population, and a further 250,000 to 300,000 (after eliminating duplication) through manual registration," he said.
