“We want to build an ecosystem that supports our businesses and industries to develop viable innovations to address climate change,” Minister Responsible for Innovation Saskatchewan Jeremy Harrison said. “This pilot program lays further groundwork to establish that ecosystem and continues positioning Saskatchewan as a leader in cleantech.”
The program, which will be branded as a Foresight program in collaboration with IS, will provide programming and support for up to ten qualifying Saskatchewan cleantech startups. The startups will be required to pay $200 per month to access the program.
Foresight’s mission is to accelerate the growth and impact of cleantech ecosystems across Canada,” Foresight Chief Executive Officer Jeanette Jackson said. “This partnership enables us to support Saskatchewan’s rapidly growing cleantech sector by providing innovators with the skills and resources they need to accelerate their paths to market. We are delighted to be working with Innovation Saskatchewan on this Government of Saskatchewan initiative, and we look forward to leading our Launch and Deliver programs in Saskatchewan, starting with January’s pilot program.”
