Seacoast winter farmers markets kick off with more to come

ROLLINSFORD – Farmers markets are a mainstay of life in New England. Whether it’s summer or winter, the ability to buy fresh produce, eggs, meat and other goods always draws a crowd.
This year, many of the summer markets either didn’t happen or were held with coronavirus pandemic restrictions and safety precautions. That was a bit easier outdoors, but now the winter farmers’ market has arrived, too.
A Seacoast farmers market was held Saturday at Wentworth Greenhouses in Rollinsford, and many people jumped at the chance to sign up for the appointment-only event, filling the market all day long.
