At least three terrorists were killed on Monday when security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) to thwart an infiltration attempt close to the Pak-Afghan border in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Lower Dir district, a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
The terrorists were identified as Abid and Yousuf Khan from Swat valley and Abdul Sattar from Mardan.
The military's media wing said that a large quantity of weapons, ammunition and grenades were also recovered.
According to the ISPR, the terrorists were involved in several target killing incidents in Swat in 2019.
