Two family-owned mechanical service contractors are bringing together their operations under a new name.
In a statement, the Shaffer Co., of Bristol, announced that it has acquired Beacon Mechanical Service LLC of Granby and is rebranding as “Shaffer Beacon Mechanical LLC.”
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Shaffer officials said the buyout will help expand the combined company’s HVAC and plumbing service offerings and add oil delivery service to the firm’s portfolio. The company will bring on Beacon’s technicians and fleet of over 30 vehicles.
