The Indiana County Sheriffâs Office announced this morning that a scam is going through the area concerning people that have concealed weapons permits.
In a post to the Sheriffâs office Facebook page, Sheriff Fyock said that they were informed of a nationwide scam which involves text messages saying that the potential victimâs concealed carry permit is about to expire or it needs changed. The text message will also include a link to a website. Fyock said that the link is a malicious one and was not generated by the Sheriffâs office.
