VERMILLION, S.D. (KELO.com) — With the end of a Covid-19 shadowed school year in sight, administrators are recognizing many students will need more help at the start of the fall term.
Vermillion Superintendent Damon Alvey says they are moving to add more counselors.
Alvey says they know there are students that have lost most of an academic year.
Students were sent home in mid-March of last year as the pandemic ramped up and school districts scrambled to put together remote learning options.
Some students continued with that remote option for most of this school year.
