Spike in new COVID-19 cases reported in Northumberland County as Quinte area reaches another record high

It’s another day with a high number of new COVID-19 cases in Quinte.
Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reporting 19 new cases today, for a total of 148 active cases.
Here’s the breakdown of cases in each region:
57 active cases in Quinte West
52 active cases in Belleville
17 active cases in Central Hastings
1 active case in North Hastings
12 active cases in Prince Edward County
6 active cases in Tyendinaga & Deseronto
Staff say that four people are in hospital with one person in ICU. A total of 67 variants of concern have been identified.
The seven day case rate per 100,000 people is 79.5.
A new outbreak has been declared today at the Richmond Retirement home in Belleville, with one case identified so far.
