OXFORD — Springville came up a little short on Saturday evening with a Class 6A state softball championship on the line.
After going 3-0 on Friday in the opening rounds of the state tournament, the fourth-ranked Tigers dropped a pair of games to No. 6 Hazel Green 10-0 and 9-5 to finish as the 2021 runner-up in their first season competing in Class 6A.
