States of emergency in Muskegon being called so virtual meetings can continue

The Muskegon County Board of Commissioners meets virtually via Zoom on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. A state of emergency due to rising COVID-19 cases declared by board Chair Bob Scolnik allows the commission to continue meeting virtually through April 6, 2021.

MUSKEGON COUNTY, MI – As COVID cases continue to climb, local governments are declaring states of emergency required for continued remote meetings of public bodies.
A week-long state of emergency was declared in Muskegon County on Wednesday, March 31, by county board Chair Bob Scolnik. The declaration that lasts a week means the county board can continue meeting via Zoom, Scolnik said.
