LA CROSSE COUNTY, Wis. (WKBT) – The La Crosse County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a swatting incident that sent a large police response to a residence on Krause Road in the Town of Farmington.
The Sheriff’s Office received a phone call shortly before 9 p.m. Sunday about a situation involving “weapons and crimes” that were serious enough for law enforcement to call-in Gundersen Air, Farmington Fire and First Responders, Tri-State Ambulance, and State Patrol to assist.
Officers were able to make contact with the homeowner and another person at the residence to determine those details were false.
