MEDWAY — Wednesday was not only the last day of business for T.C. Scoops, it was also its busiest day since opening 10 years ago, according to owner Tina Chemini.
“It was without a doubt the most sales we’ve done in one day,” she said. “We probably did six days of sales in one day.”
Even as rain poured down throughout the day, leading to thunderstorms in the evening that eventually left the store without electricity, there was a line leading out the door and down the sidewalk from the time it opened at 11 a.m. until it closed at 9 p.m. Hundreds stopped by throughout the day to get their last ice cream or hot dog from the shop at 104 Main St.
