SPOKANE, Wash. — The City of Spokane said three people have died due to what is likely heat-related illness.
City spokesperson Brian Coddington confirmed Wednesday two people at the New Washington Apartments died—one of them a man in his 70s and the other unknown. Residents told city employees both those people complained of heat-related symptoms the night before.
A woman in her 60s as well as her dog, were also found dead in their home in Northwest Spokane, which the City says was likely heat-related, too.
