Theresa May is to form a new government despite the conservatives failing to win an election majority just one more seats ticket to declare Kensington in London where a 3rd recounts will get underway this evening the prime minister says how governments will provide certainty by working with Northern Ireland's Democratic Unionist Party the d.p. Leader Alan Foster says the party will examine how it may be possible to bring stability to the whole of the u.k. Jonathan Powell was downing street chief of staff under Tony Blair when he also served as chief government negotiator on Northern Ireland he believes Mrs May should reconsider her plan to work with the Democratic Unionists. I do think this is a real problem with the u.p.a. I think I understand why people in the u.k. Aren't paying much attention to it nor now and hasn't been on our news pages for a long time and that's a good thing but let's not put them back on again by bringing this mistaken policy of actually depending on the do you Peter former government it would really cause serious problems for us into the United Kingdom and in terms of you negotiations in our local results Jessye Norman retains his seat as m.p. For Hereford and south Herefordshire helping the Tories to a clean sweep across her future and with the shiz constituencies he says he's not worried about an overall decrease in his majority since the last election I was going to raise if we could it would change the lives of 2015 election but what was really exciting about it was those young for number of players which is another key indicator and also showed that so so if you're over 50 percent of the vote and used to increase that that's a very encouraging side and you can hear Jessye Norman full interview with Andrew Eastern on this afternoon show as well as a number of our other local M.P.'s the Labor leader meanwhile germy Corbin has urged trees made to stand down saying his party which gained 29 seats is ready to serve to form a b.b.c. Last night at 10 o'clock when the polls closed and the talking started the exit poll as it were was predicting this the situation the predicted the graph the swing ometer whatever else the discord suggested this would happen and has now the next step is to form some sort of coalition or way way off doing that yet but what now having kind of thought about it all listened to watched it read about it all what are your thoughts at this point now 10 past 4 on Friday afternoon the day after the night before do you trust to reason may to lead the country 813 double 3 h. Harrison will stand Ok so for 72 reason May says she will stay on as prime minister despite the Conservative Party's shock general election result having lost her overall majority Mrs May will not attempt to lead the country with a minority government propped up by the Democratic Unionist Party Meanwhile Jeremy Corbin is celebrating what he has called an incredible result after Labor successfully defended and won back marginal seats against the odds Let's go to Georgie Russell in Westminster Ga I guess we were expecting to be discussing the Tory leadership today absolutely. Not the whole point of to resume a calling this snap election 7 weeks ago was because the polls were predicting a landslide victory for to reason made today so that she could go to Brecht's it as to Brussels Sori and have a really strong mandate for those bricks in negotiations in 10 days time having secured an increased overall majority in parliament just over the road from me that majority as it turns out has been wiped out the Tories and this general election disaster on 318 M.P.'s They are the biggest party but there are 8 short of a majority in the now having to look to the d.p. To prop them up in a minority government situation treason May has not fallen on her sword she has not resigned she has Face the Nation and said she's going to continue as Leader office debility off a certainty she says and take us through the BRICs it process what it did to reason will fail so spectacularly well the post-mortem is underway the conservative manifestos facing a lot of criticism today the way it was handled the way it was put together by a very small circle and not tested on the the wider party and for the fact that it ended up resulting in a u. Turn on the key social care policy that took up a lot of the headlines when they could have been focusing on other things whilst at the same time the Labor Party had a real control of their campaign Jeremy Corbyn somehow managed to stay clear of or could moments discussing the economy and Breck's it in focus people's minds on public services which was the area where Labor Party was going above and beyond with regards to funding than any of the other parties Jeremy Corbyn also seems to have benefited hugely from the remain vote and the youth vote and his message on austerity calling for an end to a stair tea in Britain has really cut through with voters what next for Germany cooler and presumably his job is not safe Well if you listen to some of his colleagues who turned their back on him last year resigned from his front bench and who. Signed of motion of no confidence there's a change of tone Clive Owen Smith who went up against him in a leadership contest last year saying today I take my hat off to him he is cutting through and his success has put Labor in a position where they have. Or even though it's not really a realistic outcome are able to say we offer ourselves as a minority government have to reason may isn't able to do say so that's a result they could only have dreamed of their vote share is on 40 percent not as much as the conservatives but 9.5 percent on the 2015 result which is a huge turnaround and Jamie Corbin can claim it for his own. And what about you could does today mark the end for that particular party Well when you can't has a face that question on the campaign trail They've all given the same answer they've all said if I had a pound for every time someone told me that Ukip was dead I'd be a millionaire by now but the truth is they leave this election without an m.p. Their party leader Paul Nuttall came in a dismal 3rd and resigned this morning so then our leader less for the time being Nigel Farage the former leader has said today that he will may have to consider over 10 to frontline politics because he doesn't believe anyone is out there fighting for a hard Breck's it now but whether that means doing so for Ukip we don't know so for the time being they are sidelined Ok Georgie thank you Georgie Russell in Westminster for b.b.c. Hereford and was to what do you make of this so now you've had a dare say the think listen to some or all of the analysis are you happy with the result and are you confident in what is now going to happen that will be by the looks of things like coalition between the Conservative Party and the Democratic Unionist Party in Northern Ireland was to breeze and remaining in charge is that all Ok with you ate $13.00 double 3 put h.w. To keep coming through the. Sun you. Feel. Steppes story of the b.b.c. Hereford was. A student radio show you get from. I guess the reaction to the general election results we will get from experts that the turnout of young voters. Tributed to the unexpected successes for Gerry Corbin Labor Party David Greene here now with us Vice Chancellor of the University of West a good afternoon good afternoon Andrew Howard thanks for coming in so how bound Porton do you think that the youth vote was for this result I think youth vote was very important and of course there's one really stunning result which was that Kenton Canterbury where there is absolutely no doubt that the students in Canterbury contributed to the defeat of the conservative m.p. a Seat which has been held since the 1st world war by the Conservative Party and it was reported that students were queuing to vote so I think there's absolutely no doubt that young people and students have made a really big difference in this campaign and we all know that the opinion polls before hand showed a very great variation and the ones which got it right with the ones who predicted a bigger turnout from young people and this time for the 1st time ever it's materialized but but does that show that young people are engaged with and knowledgeable on politics or they just want to make sure that they're getting the lessons for free I think what happened was that there were an awful lot of young people again from all the surveys who were really disappointed at the outcome of the European Union referendum and then because it was actually so close 52 percent to 48 percent with only 38 percent of the people who were voting who were eligible to vote vote actually voting to leave they suddenly realised that actually they could have made a big difference if they'd only turned up and voted so I think that there's been a great engagement of young people I've been working in universities for more than 30 years now this is the 1st time ever that the students' union has been really actively engaged not in telling people how to vote but in saying you must vote whatever you do you must vote so for this general election in particular for 27 same. There has been much more interest perhaps even the use the word buzz about the campus than ever before Absolutely and there's no doubt about it and it's a phenomenon which is nation wide and young people have got their particular desires they would like things it's not so much that they like their lessons for free but they feel that they're being very unfairly treated the rate of interest on the student loan is about to rise to 6 point one percent well really how is that fair nurses and midwives who don't earn a lot of money and are never going to win a lot of money their bursary has been abolished and now they'll be paying fees of 1250 pounds to get what everybody recognizes it's a pretty low wage for a really tough job so I think that they've those alone young people have got a lot of genuine issues that they won't put up the political agenda and as far as I'm concerned I shall do everything I can to support them Ok David thank you David Green vice chancellor of the University of Ulster on the employment of younger people on the vote but leading up to tomorrow I guess. Yesterday how we have now seen what has happened hung parliament ultimately coalition the implications of that to talk about after 5 plus the place where you could has or hasn't got in this country's political agenda $75.00. feeling about things today now you had time to think about the results. Stand a moment says very very happy with the elections. Thank you we also heard from all of the who mentions and it looks nice to the discussion we just had actually with David Greene from the university that the labor offer to students of no tuition fees a money tree policy he fears that would have bankrupted Britain's Labor Party don't have the numbers Ok 813 double 3 h. W. At the start of your message on how you're feeling about the future for this country you trust to reason to steer the ship 813 double 3 h.w. At the start of your message 4 to 5 some good news and away from the Election Day 7 Valley Charitable Trust has hit their 1000000 pound fundraising target more than a month ahead of show Jill what is this for and what more needs to be done at a spring in Sheila Patterson from the trust Hi Sheila hi and how are you good thank you must be delighted Oh God we're absolutely ecstatic especially as you say that we've come in a month earlier and really quite overwhelmed by the generosity from all of our donors in fact we're in a rather strange position that we've actually had on top of reaching that target another 150 donations whereby we're now having to call those donors to let them know that sadly won't get the match funding and are they still happy for that money to go into and I'm in pocket as expected they're all saying yes I'm just really overjoyed along with that we've hit the target the target of 1000000 target we set and it's part of a longer plan to write a 10000000 pound indictment for the same value of our charitable trust and just to put that into some sort of context just to restore one locomotive it's 600 parts and pined and we have 10 an in-service at any one time so if it's a big numbers that we need to deal with the at the railway so so what this is this money is. Is money for projects rather than the day to day running of the railway it's this is actually found in Diamond funds. The money will will be invested and we will release part of that investment annually and use to watch maintenance of rolling stock it will also say willing to do restoration of engines of carriages and also to fund future apprentices because at really 2 to the 7 Valley where we're moving forward we've currently got 6 the railway but you know our support of our volunteer base is getting more elderly we need to bring the younger people in and skill them with Heritage engineering skills so the endowment will sit for a match on the educational side but also as you say on the general restoration programs as well so this. Has been the future the. Goal to really get to 10 is to get to 10 and then. That will pay for the sort of on your restoration fees release some of the money from the 7 value our to invest in other projects and secure the future of this absolutely to 6 secure the future and what I would say well he's a big numbers and and it is an expensive attraction to run there's an absolute out there to make this work and we really are very humbled and overwhelmed by the support we've got and what was really nice with this one was that the final donation the took over the edge was for a gentleman who lived imperiously who's been donating to the railway for the past 25 years but actually comes in and I also helps restore the carriages so we for the Flying Scotsman last year we had a whole rake of course l m e r t carriages Well this particular gentleman was instrumental in helping restore those over the last 25 years so it's so nice I mean we are really very much like an extended family and and having that gentleman give us the last donation really was rather fabulous very special. Sheila thank you very much and nice to talk to Sheila Patterson from the 7 very rare a child will trust. Pound fund raising target a month ahead of schedule they're pleased about that it's a minute to find. The updates b.b.c. By the call good evening news now let's get it from government Theresa May has apologised to Conservative M.P.'s who lost their seats in last night's general election but insisted she's now committed to forming a government in the national interest Mrs may call the election in April hoping it would increase her mandate for the back seat negotiations which begin in 10 days time but the Tories won 318 seat 8 short of a majority in the past half hour Mrs May said she would reflect on what she needs to do in the future it's important to have a government that can take the negotiations through that's what I'm doing forming a government I obviously wanted a different result last night and I'm sorry for all those colleagues who lost their seats who didn't deserve to lose and of course all reflect on what happened you've been telling us whether or not you think it's right for Theresa May to form the next government despite not having that overall majority No Well I don't because she's she's been proved not to be of satisfactory leader the fact that she's going in with the Unionists as a dodgy business frankly look at the objective Leigh I think that the stability of the country yes morally probably no she's got to say on she's got to follow it through I would hope she does Kerio Mrs May. Is seeking the support of Northern Ireland's Democratic Unionists in Parliament the leader of the Democratic Unionist then Foster said the result this is the election had been truly historic with her party recording its best ever result she said to do you would always strive for the best deal for Northern Ireland but also wanted the best for the whole of the u.k. Negotiations on our exit from the European Union are about to commence and we know it's fierce on certainty at Westminster the prime minister spoken with me this morning and we've entered questions with the conservatives to explore 5 it may be possible to bring stability to our nation at this time of real challenge. Elsewhere in the election for the 1st time in 20 years Labor gained seats 29 in all giving them 261 M.P.'s the party's leader Jeremy Corbyn has cooled on the reason made to resign saying he wanted to form a minority government the Scottish National Party Meanwhile saw its gains in the 2015 election slashed by 21 seats and its leader Nicholas Sturgeon said the losses were bitterly disappointing and acknowledged that her call for a 2nd independence referendum had affected the result the Liberal Democrats now have 12 seats us for more than a one in 2015 but their former leader Nick Clegg lost in Sheffield Hallam Ukip supports collapsed with their share vote for Limbo most 11 percent and their leader Paul Nuttall has resigned and in our local results Jessye Norman retained his seat as m.p. For Hereford science Herefordshire helping the Tories to a clean sweep across her future and with the shiz 8 constituencies he says he's not worried about it's an overall decrease in his majority I was going to raise if we could have a change that the 2050 election but what was really exciting about it was those young for number plates which is another key indicator and also showed that so so if you're over 50 percent of the vote and used to increase that that's a very intelligent. Tony was worth would watch as his wife had sex with teenage boys in Woodland the Crown Prosecution Service said to sexual predators had been. Brought to justice and the statements the b.b.c. Said that it's as appalled as everyone else by these crimes that are unconnected to their previous b.b.c. Or. And the 7 Valley Railway Charitable Trust has reached its $1000000.00 pound fund raising target more than a month ahead of shuttle it's raised the money through a share offer to help renovate the heritage railway station at bridge north cricket and it's day one of Specsavers County Championship match against Morgan Road Let's head over to the ground now and get the latest from Dave Bradley the long interval is 7 with a loss that's it replied it was just $267.00 all out which is a tail wag pretty well Cox with $93.00 aged out and then Barnard was 16 and Josh talking with $41.00 towards the end to that 267 all it after they'd been 14 for 3 and a holder for 5 long and just started their reply Rudolph 5 Selman to 7 without loss . Thanks Brad is full ball by ball commentary on that match continues on 738 am and online and in tennis and he marries into the French Open are losing in the semifinal against Jan van Brinker the Swiss took a victory in 5 sets Murray winning just one game in the last set and whether there's a mostly fine evening ahead with a bit of sunshine to end the day cloud will Ficken overnight they are bringing pep She lights rain or drizzle loads overnight lows tonight of 11 degrees Celsius 52 degrees Fahrenheit It's 6 minutes past 5 duties to the sea air assuming we're still good the movie Andrew fish on a fantastic Friday on hunger Friday there's been just one story today the election calls for to reserve a resign after the Tories lost their overall majority prime minister called the election because she wanted a mandate in the Mandate she's gone. Lost conservative states lost but lost support and lost confidence prime minister says he's not going anywhere with form a government. A government that's come provide certainty and needs Britain forward at this critical time for our country well what does it mean for us and how are you feeling today may have had time to just think about things and take it all until it is no 813 double 3 starting your message with the letters h. W. You terrified a packing up you're leaving home or actually setting up a straight party this weekend because you're so happy with the result. 8138 double 3 h.w. To start your message Andrew Easton at b.b.c. Dot cut u.k. If you are online. As a mention calls for the prime minister to resign today after her attempts to increase her mandate for the brakes in negotiations spectacularly backfire we now have a hung parliament to resume a says she's sorry for the Tory candidates who lost their seats and she would reflect on what the party need to do in the future to move forwards one person who had a better night as they relate to conservative m.p. From it was to Nigel Huddleston he increased his majority by almost 3000 rarity Nigel's and good afternoon good afternoon congratulations to you 1st and foremost but as a overall result are you disappointed yes of course I'm disappointed we were hoping for a for for a decent majority and that didn't happen on a personal level I've lost some very good friends in Parliament that site Tories I'm a going to stay a lot of people say she should go what do you think she should do well obviously you know we didn't get a majority but we've got 318 maybe 219 seats and therefore the largest party with nearly 14000000 votes so the largest party have the right to form the government or a tent for the government and it looks like we may be able to do some deal with the u.p.a. To have a functioning majority I mean at the end of the day labor is nearly 60 seats behind so the called by Jeremy Corbyn for the prime minister to resign thing a little bit falls I don't think it's quite sunk in yet that Labor lost the election but just on on numbers alone the Labor Party had a great deal more success essentially than the Conservative Party having Yes they have and you know credit to them I mean this is democracy and I think we're all becoming rather you started to surprises in democratic processes now but at the end of the day we still have the largest number of M.P.'s and the largest number of votes were you nervous that this might of been the outcome when the election was called you know to be honest it was genuinely a surprise and I absolutely did not believe the exit poll when it 1st came out because what happened wasn't matching up with the evidence that I. Seen on the ground and also in some nearby seats so it was a bit of a surprise and I think we've got a lot to look into there and a lot of lessons to be learned you know one line. While the polling obviously was all over the place but also canvassing and so on that we were doing we weren't we weren't identifying that swing to Labor including in seats nearby like I just and North Wales we were just we just weren't seeing that on the ground so that probably questions the way that we conduct some of our on the ground activity joining elections because he just didn't tally with what we were feeling so either there was a real last minute swing or we were just failing to detect it in some way and and I think that's quite important in terms of the way that we conduct general elections going forward do you think there should be a general election sooner than the 5 years you know I'm absolutely not sensing any appetite amongst the British public for that and certainly locally I've heard many emails today on that very issue saying please don't have another election but it's a I suppose the key question is how long can the minority Conservative government in partnership with the t.p. Work and and and we'll have to see I mean that there are times in the past where they've lost it pretty much a full term and times when they haven't we'll just have to see but at this moment in time I'm hopeful you are still I guess relatively new as an m.p. In which to shift so I guess you have to do list is still fairly plentiful what it is to do it was to show for you what's on the job she absolutely and the good thing locally as you just mentioned is we do have a full sweep of conservatives across or if it was to shift so we've been working together lobbying the government then quite frankly whether it's a conservative government or a Labor government one of the roles of the m.p. Is to lobby the government for local sending whether it's roads and infrastructure health services schools all of those kind of things will continue to do that lobby for our fair share of funding and hold the government ministers to account that's a very important. Art I've got some particular passion in areas like mobile coverage and broadband which I'll be pushing and I'm still very very keen that we get this formula through which obviously we've been promised prior to the election and I hope that we'll still be able to deliver that because that will be of great benefit was just cool Thank you Nigel Huddleston who has been re-elected conservative m.p. For mid was to share the broadband thing is Jesse Owens list for Herefordshire till hear from him after half 5. Jesson on of course one of the other. 8 or 7 I guess if you exclude Nigel M.P.'s in the 2 counties Let's get the detail on what happened around the place with their report Alastair Bernie who is here good night for Nigel Huddleston and also the Tories across television was to show yes Andrew as we're just hearing there Nigel Huddleston got just under 36000 votes increasing his majority for nearly 3000 and he wasn't the only conservative celebrating in fact all of our constituencies remained blue but some were more comfortable than others Redditch they have a new m.p. Rachel McLean She slightly increased the conservative majority there with both the Conservatives and Labor increasing their votes by around $3000.00 each and you Kipps votes well at fell dramatically losing almost 6000 votes from 2015 and that was the case for the party across much of our patch now with the Tories who did well with the slightly increased his majority in Burma's growth Harriet's Boldin retained his seat comfortably albeit with a slightly reduced majority in West Worcestershire he increased his majority in the wider forest but Robin Walker had a more nervous night in Worcester one point the exit poll suggested he was 81 percent likely that he would lose his seat to Labor's Joey Squires in the end that didn't happen but he saw his majority more than half to 2 1490 in North or of a church Bill weekend when he saw his majority increase or just Norman as you mentioned force Hereford and south heritage or who he saw as majority decrease pointless 2000 votes just over 50. Infernals and so. Conservative but not a bad night an awful Labor No Not all across the 2 counties they got almost an extra 40000 votes compared to 2050 in the Tories they also increased the number of votes they got by 35000 so really it's the smaller parties the seen the heavy losses in their support of the ballot box here in Herefordshire and was to share nationally of course we know a hung parliament and treason may as announced this afternoon that she's forming a government with the support of the Northern Irish party the day you paid interest me what Nigel Huddlestone was just saying there about people not feeling the appetite for another election people I've spoken to today will have told me that actually they expect one and some of them really want one and I've been asking those people in Worcester if it's right for trees in May to form the next government with the d.p. Supporting No Well I don't because she's she's been proved not to be satisfactory leader but honestly there's a very important time and I think the fact that she's going in with the Unionists as a dodgy business frankly looking to objectively I think to the stability of the country yes morally probably no every no one's won this election it's just really a very sad state feel really like like that I. Don't think she should have pictures as I see it as a leader by the party itself the conservative should they be in power and I something they just attacked me called in for the whole city election. She's going to say she's got to follow it you know because I was I voted for and I hope she does Kerry and you know but it's done with a d u p to show you how politics turns isn't this you know having to gain these extra seat via the d.p.p. It's a shame really but there we go giving She's a good leader very strong leader I think she'll make a good leader for the country I think probably for the time being but I don't suspect she'll be there for very long 3 me just ability yes. Just call that they don't use many of the options that you think about this morning but we get a vote on who we would like as the government but then if we don't get majority we don't get a say on kind of who they go and form a coalition with which I don't think is right do you think we could be going back to the polls in a few months time if you look forward to that we know. Well there is a reporter Alistair Billy So what do you think today you've taken some time to think about it take it all in why worry here's Dave says Why worry about the result of general election we all voted we've done our bit half what they have to do. And when I'm back to the day job making bangers and burgers says David nation thank you 813 double 3 h. W. At the start of your message on how you're feeling today how you are feeling about the future I guess and if you are confident that the reason may with the cooperation of the Democratic Party in Northern Ireland can run the country in the way you wish. To b.b.c. Or if it was stopped by the coalition on the show for a long time myself Max Thomas while making for the m 5 to watch as any debris on the carriageway 5 to 4 we heard from Craig of items in the carriage way earlier making for the $42.00 looks like things going reasonably now after some earlier build ups near 3 going on to be a $46.00 around the eaves from bypass lookout for build ups that way or so the link the a trouble for Ogata cues cross Ringway into them unstuck you see the way. That's by the 3 crowns and if you're going crowd cross Ringway to willfully road through Hereford looks like a 49 and well cross road as well as add to street and Belmont road you'll find traffic slowing at the moment if you know of any other trouble spots give me a call b.b.c. Here of course the travel hotline 345305 double 04 the atmosphere. To. Them these days. Have been fantastic and loving it sounds like a loon or you're going to sit in Newtown and now the 2 counties hosts fantastic festivals right across the summer Yeah it sounds pretty tremendous and b.b.c. Harrison was still will be a temporary new store make fast and the will still use it festival showcasing some of the best music on our b.b.c. Introducing stage. Plays was in session with me and you Boston Mass before the Hay Festival this Saturday night for the states it was a die out. Brilliant the best covering to done to festival. To this day I have never been to a festival I don't care Easterners your business you can go from I'll just say 518 Andrew Eastern radio show tonight a lot to talk about the election this story also 2 former b.b.c. Presenters have been sentenced to 5 years in jail after being found guilty of indecent assault Tony and Julie was worth who presented regional programme on b.b.c. Her phone was to were convicted of encouraging under-age boys to take part in sexual acts in woods near other stone in the 1990 s. I spoke to our reporter Bob Hawke at home who's been at war Crown Court for us today well Judge John Terry Lockhart q.c. Told the what is worse that there was a spectacular fall from grace he said it was staring Lee obvious to anyone that their victims were young schoolboys in the couple had used them for their own sexual gratification he said No doubt he had no doubt that these boys had been damaged by what would be their 1st experience of sex at the hands of the couple and the Watts were said to have no feeling for the damage they would reap How did the Wadsworth seem as they were sentenced Well Tony Watts was stood stony faced throughout but his wife Julie was much more distraught appeared to be crying and was dabbing her eyes with black tissue as the couple left the dock great hope to each other obviously knowing that they won't be seeing each other for a long time now so at the trial they've denied all the charges and maintain that they didn't know the ages of these boys who they indecently assaulted back in the 1990 s. But after nearly 15 hours of deliberation the jury obviously not accepted their accounts and finally bombing one of the implications might the big day for the ones who are following this. Well the judge said that the what's worse would no longer be allowed in any at any time in a large to work with children. Obviously a reputation which they've built up for many many years as professional broadcasters has been seriously damaged now and the b.b.c. Has said that it's appalled by what's happened so it certainly won't be employing the what's worse again of course it's a disgrace for their families I mean the couple have got no previous convictions so going to prison in their sixty's is obviously going to be a massive ordeal for them the judge did make reference to the fact that they'd been involved in a lot of charity work in the past and he said he took that into account when he was sensing since then but obviously any good name that they've picked up develops in the past has now been very severely tarnished there is Bob Hawke and whole of that report today are on the sentencing of Tony and Julie was with 2 former b.b.c. Presenters has been awarded trial court forces 5 and 21. B.b.c. Infamous. Comments about the election today everyone has a thought cause you do because everyone has a vote Dave says it's not so much who the you pay are more a question how much it will cost us they're not doing this merger for free how do says I'm missing something here they win by 55 seats everyone is acting like they lost they won by 55 seats you're right but not enough to 4 majority and the way that the parliament works in this country a grab says more votes less seats you know I know how you can voters who are not represented in parliament this is the problem with the electoral system gosh let's have a debate about how the electoral system works maybe another day this more to talk about than that. Unless of course you want to comment on if you think there's a fair right to do things I suppose 813 double 3 h.w. At the start of your message. Elsewhere the parties mentioned you keep their totals announced he's standing down as leader of you can the party fail to get to gain even a single seat in Westminster form you could m.e.p. Godfrey Bloom thinks it could be the end I think probably Ukip is now finished unless of course they rate rise Phoenix like from the ashes if this had been a stray Sion fails to deliver breakfast I mean a year ago we voted to leave to raise them a did nothing but differ about she campaigned for main She is a remain a I don't think she had any intention of delivering breakfast so this is the end who will be the new leader all these questions I talked to Jim Carville you can m.e.p. For the West Midlands lives in Leicester Hi Jim Well Andrea Lyon things are Ok Is it the end Jim now absolutely no authority. For you with saying in that. We've become more relevant for that very reason you know a lot of people do have concerns about the party process see on one of the one of many. You could one of 20. Weekly campaigning still receive a final vote on the facts are assessed actually made in European policy or be one of the many anybodies buzzing puncheons resulting about up until that happens if you become more relevant Jim Carver surely you would have m. Pace. What we look on when I say it's a great election it wasn't but we were we were squeezed very badly this election we saw what happened but yeah absolutely we've got to go back to drawing board but I do think we're more than we were before but I've heard it before from you what is going to change what's what's going to change what we have a new leader. Let's be clear about that we're going to have any Laden al. Announced people we're running behind them and we've been a situation where we can actually move forward as a possibility of a by election coming up in the Senate not to parity. Well see the possibility that of a of a troll circular never Polonaise just been tried and been interesting by an action and one upping inching Truong because if there is a ball action a caution was the. Slim situation the number of members of parliament but the government have I think that's something of a bet but you've spectacularly failed How can anyone think there's a future in believing in you can. I think we've come back more on the Sugar Ray Leonard stare you sort of just the right is so but. Let me assure you there's a place for us we're going to move much to get behind that new party leader I think would see something very different are you going to be the leader. Because you still family is still for me I'm very happy what would have been within the party this doesn't appeal to a sort of absolute in about one percent for who should I think controversial comeback I really think he sings like he has happened for a lot of people support in that a lot of public support there and I think he really could make things really interesting to step back into the fray as who's in general think that during g last night have you spoken to him at all there are lessons in order to. The 2nd question sir he. Just wondered if you had any kind of friendship with him and also you might want Amina. You know member you could sort your niche out our knowledge is an old friend of mine a campaign the knowledge of really you know change his versus Gen x. Not interested in 997 when it's it's. It's made in those days before people knew to you that he was very he really has something he really has ability and. Just just being at talking with him in a friend on standing and history in London for a friend or snitch a friend has a true still. There. We were just standing there talking to General Chat missions long before you know he might be one herself and people just walking Paulson just looking and looking at the markets you see and recall in my eyes so all of. That just looking drawn towards larger on I think I think he has the. Ability to search certainly the people and we've seen that with the electorate uncertain whether or not but where did that get you Jim because I don't remember you going to great demo stage under Nigel Farage well. Look where we go. When we go purchase one you can claim that can you. Be very clear about that you know if it wasn't for the electoral going to but you could my why would we produce steadily increase our numbers the numbers of members European Parliament the way you move forward increased ball and very representation the way we've got now over 400 local councils up and down the country very clearly with. An Aughrim you think believe that we're going to have another. Ok Jim thank you Jim Carver who is the Ukip m.e.p. For the West Madame's lives in words to thinks Nigel Farage has the arm says to. Their issues it is 527 to tell us what you think listening to that h. W. At the start of your message and send to 813 double 3 How you feeling about the election now and the Future 2 of the country's 527. See if it was still. Ok the weather now from the back door Good afternoon hello good afternoon howled cooking on gas here today I think probably because you have a better example of witness what is the worst gift ever given to anyone came for him I think it is the greatest gift your dog I think it's called Brandy she has and she's very fast dog some sort of Greyhound hybrid. This article details the most personal of all gifts a guy has brought his girl brought his girlfriend bought matching blankets so the dog has a picture blanket to sleep on with a picture of his female owner on it the female owner has a blanket for her to kind of represent up and with a picture of the dog on it. What do you think of this I wouldn't want one of those why not. Use what in and I'll be honest a lot of people were found on this a lot of people will judge me but I allow brandy. On to my bed in the morning. So she doesn't need a blanket and and and and what else do you allow you to do the lick on the face thing no no no other good for that the night you know it from the same table or things and oh goodness gracious what I mean but she is she's sick considering she's going to buy and she's very cuddly and really they call them lounge lizards plans because they like to just kill zone like her any other examples from any one of woeful gifts will take them from me this afternoon. The weather for what you say the weekend can you grab that from your of that's convenient yes it certainly is and here is sunny it because it's my job it's sunny at the moment and we've got a little bit of cloud lingering But as we had 3 tonight we're going to see a sheet of cloud working its way in as I said to be low pressure and a trailing cold front which will be with us tomorrow so it looks like it's going to be a monkey night so a mild start to the day tomorrow temperatures around about 12 Celsius and then we start off tomorrow with a sheet of cloud and some rain now this cold front could stall a little bit and drag its heels now it could be that through the day we get a little bit of rain here and there it could be that we managed to escape it's still quite a lot of uncertainty but chances are there will be some rain at some point in the day tomorrow and some strong winds as well it's looking like later through the day will it stay the heaviest of the rain and then it will eventually clear out of the way still breezy overnight it's and they say that holds our temperatures up at around about 12 Celsius as for Sunday it starts off quite cloudy but eventually will see things brightening up some pleasant spells of sunshine by the end of the day and that sets the tone for pressure building into the start of the new working week settling things down and giving us some sunshine. On b.b.c. One will start now 530 years max and if you're going on the most we network looks like a pretty reasonable run what child may still be the odd bit of Devery though it should have been all sorts out going between $5.00 and $4.00 a northbound a $46.00 around the from some slowing traffic on the. My 1st route this was to Southern link Eric use in places only trouble for oh and well watch out for some cues well proud prospering white I commenced to party a 442 through Hereford Either way a 49 got filled up saved a street last road and the Belmont road as well I got so yes some very heavy traffic to tell us more 034-5305 w. 4. 5 and the news headlines are here got it coming in the last few minutes the prime minister has said senior M.P.'s will continue in their current roles to resume a sense that Philip Hammond and the Rudd Michael Fallon Boris Johnson and Davis David Davis will all continue in their roles she's also apologized to Conservative M.P.'s who lost their seats in the general election but says she's now committed to forming a government in the national interest the Labor leader Jeremy Corbyn meanwhile has called on her to stand down elsewhere the Ukip n.e.p. Jim Carver who lives in Worster has denied claims the party's lost its relevance having failed to win a single seat in Westminster and says he'd like to see Nigel Farage return to the leadership following portals resignation. Also in the news 2 former radio presenters her both been jailed for 5 years for historic child sex offenses dating back to the 1990 s. In a statement the b.b.c. Describes their crimes as appalling and unconnected to their work with the corporation and a man in Pittsburgh has had a rather extreme reaction to finding onions in his food 43 year old Ruba Sharma ate at the All Indiana restaurant on Monday night but returns the following day to complain about the onions the owner of the restaurant called the police when Sharma threatened to shoot him which point Sharma pulled down his trousers and exposed himself he remains in jail on a range of charges too long to list perhaps a whole year's our crime of the year award goes to that place I'm curious about what was wrong with these onions you know to warrant such a reaction Yeah that perhaps was justified you know how do you. Avoid crying whilst peeling onions. If you got everything to go and you won't suffer with the old really I think why I don't know the science maybe someone can tell us but we all take something away from today show. Through Eastern days new. People making. It in Worcester. 246 happy hour on the way tonight at 6 o'clock a little light relief perhaps away from the discussions of the day and still a lot to come which includes a chat about Labor who did far better than expected at the polls taking home 261 seats in the end people voted for hope huge increase in the labor vote and they did it because they want to see thing things done differently and they want to hope in their lives we are ready to serve this country that is what we fought the election for and this is the program we put forward in our election was no celebrations for the party though just cause was the Labor candidate 1st to narrowly losing for the conservatives or to the conservatives Robin Walker Hi Joy Hello Andrew there was a close one there and how did that feel when it looked like you might win Well it was an exciting moment to be honest I was thrilled to get as close as I did when we started this campaign it looked as though we wouldn't come close. And over the weeks that followed it was clear that people were really turning to Labor especially after the manifesto was published plenty of young people very enthusiastic indeed in all credit Jeremy Corbin for inspiring them so much have you changed your opinion on him over over time I have. Been very admiring of the campaign that Jeremy Corbyn has run and particularly of the manifesto that I was very happy to stand on their own self put the manifesto aside the man himself said Well you changed your opinion he's clearly inspired so many people he's shown great leadership during the course of this election campaign in total contrast to Theresa May who show no leadership whatsoever so I'm very happy to have joined the cauldron as leader of our party and what was that really strong for labor that has seen those those huge gains when I say I think it's as Jeremy Corbyn himself says that we had a message of hope we were giving people something for the future and saying that we could be doing things differently we could rebuild our public services and invest in the future for our children and young people and the Tories with had nothing to say at all to be perfectly honest other than to trash labor and Jeremy called in there was nothing positive about their campaign whatsoever so from that point of view people responded warmly they wanted to have some faith in the future should tourism I have stepped down this morning yes absolutely she's got no moral authority whatsoever anymore and as well as going backwards in terms of you know this was an election about increasing the conservative majority that hasn't happened she's taken them backwards and now she's playing a very dangerous game of taking sides in Northern Ireland by getting the do you pay on board with the conservatives at a time when the peace process in Northern Ireland is and power sharing in Northern Ireland is still very much under consideration so there she is taking firm sides it's a dangerous game that she's playing I think that she's completely out of her depth in all of this she should step aside and let somebody else take over joy to. Thank you Joyce Squires Sue was the Labor candidate forced to marry losing to conservative Robin Walker It is I think we talked to Rob Walker actually before 6. 26 now. B.b.c. Hereford and and and I guess we should we should with talking to Joy there for labor talk to someone who I guess will still have a lot of faith in the reason may this is how Baldwin the. Elected Tory m.p. For West. Good afternoon oh hello and you how are you good thank you well how you I guess delighted and tired I was slightly tardy I was quite a late night but I do want to thank the voters of Westminster only 35000 of them who trusted me in reelected me in the election yesterday does Joyce course have a point about tourism I should have stood down this morning. Well I didn't have the opportunity to hear what Joy was saying but I what I said when I sat down this morning so what what well what I would say is that there in fact she has gained a greater share of the national vote than any conservative leader for many many years and so she was able to get a much more significant vote share a big increase in the vote share across the country we won seats across the country that we haven't won for a very very long time including seats in Scotland as you'll be aware I think what was. Expected in this campaign was the surge of infuse the awesome for Jerry Corbin's party and his candidates. As you were just saying you were talking to. The candidate for 4 was to city and of course they they came out with a whole a fixed of of really quite on affordable promises and wished pie in the sky thinking in terms of taxation and it was something that clearly infused a lot of people but that was that was quite a surprise but I think they were unrealistic promises and and certainly the country is better off for not being in a position to have to implement them but is the country better off still having to raise my as its leader. Well as I say she's she's led the Conservative party to a significant gain in terms of overall vote share so the highest vote share of the whole overall majority elem any decades and because of the way that the votes spread over the country because there was. A difference right across the country and because the Labor Party had this late surge it hasn't translated into the kind of increased majorities that she clearly was hoping for when she called the election that I could fit to lead the country well I think she in terms of the conservative vote and people voting for her and her plan then she can be very pleased with the result I think you know what has been the surprise here for all the commentators was these really quite I thought you know shameful campaigns from you know certain parts of my constituency were defaced by. You know there were there was there were posters that were you know they were really vulgar things on it was absolutely disgusting some of this and in terms of propaganda or about completely unjustified fear mongering and scare mongering about cuts that are completely untrue and I thought that that was really quite shameful but it clearly did gain some enthusiasm from from some voters I think I'm glad to say not it was was to show where the girl. Almost didn't pay off didn't it so it must be a weak leader and Conservative Party that we are looking at now when I say the Conservative Party overall got a much bigger hesitant before you know so I don't think you could play the Conservative Party because that's the primary celebration is if you came out full of support the vision that she she laid out you lost seats and didn't have an overall majority so it's hardly a success story well I think it's very disappointing. To see a range of fantastic colleagues across the country particularly London so there seems to have been a particular issue in London seats who lost their jobs effectively as a result of this campaign but then we're going to be welcoming a range of new colleagues taken from Scotland that's in fact Rhys Davidson has done a fantastic job up there in terms of. Of taking us from one seat up to double digits again so that is that is a fantastic base on which to take things forward and I think in terms of as I say the overall conservative vote it was strong it held up well and it was really this surprise surge for for Jeremy Corbyn and the part the economics of Venezuela that took everyone by surprise and it's only fair of us to everyone and come on about their own to do list and yours you've got a kind of odd shaped and quite large geographically can Geographic constituency have a new environment what is still on your on your To Do list posted no joy over the computer screen. Through the got there yeah we'll talk top of the list obviously is backing this plan for improvements at the acute hospital in was typical of a lot of waste was to constituents use the acute hospital you know we've got a new chairman we've got a new chief executive is now imposed on a bit into the Department of Health to expand the provision for the accident emergency and get better tree arching. Around that with the. A bit there for some extra funding for that as well and then within with with this we have 3 fabulous community hospitals the moving Community Hospital postal Community Hospital temporary community hospital we need to make sure that we're making the most of those fantastic local facilities as part of the overall health landscape and that's the top top of the list Secondly I think it's infrastructure so it's comic tittie whether that's through super fast broadband or some of the more rural parts of the show which predominantly we are in the West but also the railway line . The count in bridge doubling and obviously with the parkway stations that are making sure that all of that what is here and hold for local commuters and people traveling from further afield so that that's an important part of what we need to work on and also flood resilience of as you have had 6 new flood defense schemes in West with over the last several years but there's still more work to do as a confluence of the 7 The Avon and the team Ok well world will look for those things are happening thank you Harriet Borden elected Tory m.p. For West was to share should confirm to Theresa May. Has confirmed and as far as the government goes that people won't be leaving or going anywhere Philip Hammond bars Johnson David Davis and Michael Fallon all remaining in their posts it is $546.00 do react to the things that you hear tonight and and tell us just what you make of the situation in the country right now 813 double 3 w. The start of the message actually if you are a Conservative Party supporter has been a great campaign 560. 8 b.c.e. Harrison was still here's my stock if you make your way on the motorway network looks like things running pretty recently through our patch bear in mind if you're making for the a 49 through Hereford some very heavy traffic cross road and the street as well turn in was show Church Street I had reports of slow traffic accident I watch for cues a 46 from the from bypass similarly proud cross Ringway. At some heavy traffic that we're in killing on there was some link trouble for delays up to 15 minutes and some cancellations on Monday Medland services have between Birmingham New Street and ready if some signalling problems tell us more 345305 double 0 for the mike on the panel and while oversleeping Lima the b.c.c. Gains access to never before heard recordings documentary. That reveals the genius behind the album that changed music forever Sergeant Pepper's beautiful revolution a little piece and I just want to mention 1st it was the. Blind Date and I had an email the other day. Asking to one of the in the audience I want to be on the show. Line daters back well now. Another of the old t.v. Shows is coming back. Is Coming. The price is right. The crowd of course Bruce. Bruce Forsyth is on the bob Warman of course. And Alan Carr is coming back on Channel 4 that still has words that really Alan cars come back with a show on Channel 4. And I'm trying desperately to remember the whole premise of the thing we had to guess and the price of the speed by writing if you got close to it you won it was that essentially it anyway said tonight to set it on t.v. From 30 years ago is going to be Saturday night t.v. Now very soon 12 to 6 more to talk about the general election everyone getting their say including Rob Walker reelected conservative m.p. For worst city Good evening Robin Good afternoon sir. Squeaky bottom time for you your count was it not. Only a place run playing a. 500 in it but I was very pleased to see my vote go up my share of the vote go up it was a hard fought campaign in which it was no doubt about that and that actually I think in a good thing for our democracy it shows that people are engaging with my coffee turn out higher across all what did it say about just how close Labor came to potentially taking that was to say Well I think they work very hard they have a strong candidate enjoy you I've got great respect for but at the end of the day more people decided that the Conservatives and the work that we've done over the last 7 years of the. To me growing and some of the investment that we've provided and we're still with the right option so now I was I was obviously pleased with that. But I think it certainly reflects the fact that just as Harry was saying earlier there's a lot of work still to do there's a lot we still want to deliver for the county and the city and we need to get on with that work you know tell us about the possibilities and so with that with the d.p. The Alliance or the coalition even as maybe even more of an insight than others full of your late father's work well I mean I mean I was a p.p.s. In Northern Ireland for a time and I think it's very important you know the British government should always reach out to all communities in Northern Ireland and that means listening to your voices as well as nationalist voices but of course we've become into the United Kingdom can't be neutral when it comes to the future of the United Kingdom and there's a great deal that we can agree on there are also things as with any different political parties where we will disagree and I think it's important that just as we work together with the Liberal Democrats in the national interest in 2010 if we need to work together to form a majority in parliament we need to look at that but we also need to be clear where we have a future on which we disagree is it a day of celebrations for the Conservative Party and certainly locally I think the fact that you know when I started campaigning it was we only helped 3 asked the 6 seats in the county that we now have held all 6 of the last 2 election something to celebrate as far as I'm concerned but it's also. To recognise as in every election there are a lot of people who voted the other way and those people need to be represented as well so it's something I take very seriously is representing all the people Mike including those who didn't vote for me just before I don't know if you heard a bulldozer on with her to do list I think some of the the items may cross over the or she mentioned the Carrington bridge if she's at the hospital and maybe there was a ship Ark way station to what else I guess those are on your list. Priorities for yeah tell you what else after the invader war might but I think making sure as well we carry on with the growth we've seen in business in jobs apprenticeships in Worcester I really want to see that continue continue with some of the really positive regeneration but we've been seeing in the city and I think there are some good opportunities there we got a cathedral choir coming through on that front and delivering more affordable homes because I recognize that is a real pressure for the city we want to see even developed on brownfield sites in the city not on the green fields and it was good to see the metal box right being approved for housing recently I think that's one of the things that we wanted to make sure the decent share of that housing is a portable because I recognize that local people need how did to rent and buy Ok Thank you Robin Walker reacted conservative m.p. For Worcester 552 we can go to Downing Street now and our political reporter John Adly is there has been watching proceedings today afternoon John good afternoon from a sunny Downing Street sun is going to come out but it is the center of the universe today were they they close again the results there and the most recent news I guess to read to make announcing her new cabinet I guess some people staying in position to get as you were really certainly for the top tier. The big 5 top jobs still as they were before Boris Johnson stays as foreign secretary indeed he's been tweeting about that in the last few minutes saying he's delighted he says there's a lot of great work to do let's get cracking you know the rough stones that the Home Office put it Hammond is still Chancellor Number 11 Downing Street just elected me here so Michael Fallon is still defense secretary David a historic secretary so I guess that's treason May showing some stability here that's the message he wants to get across that she's not going to March I imagine there will be some shaking out some shakedowns in the lower pecking orders. In her new government but we've yet to hear the details of that but the top team stays in place what she is also doing from inside Downing Street is trying to get the message out there she's been talking in the Cabinet Office about the way forward saying that she is able to deliver stable government after all she commands most support with the most votes and the most seats after the election and therefore it's incumbent on her is the word to use to take the president talks forward but it does rely on the support of at least one of the party because she's fallen short of an overall majority in the commons in order to have a guarantee of getting those crucial votes through in the Commons on the Queen's Speech on the budget she will need the support of another party that being the Democratic Unionist as she said at lunchtime on the steps of Downing Street after seeing the queen she's going to rely on the Democratic Unionists to shore up support because no guarantee of it if you go to Belfast the leader of the d u p r in foster this afternoon was saying that she's had talks with Theresa May about this and they are going to enter discussions with the conservatives on how it might be possible to bring stability but it's not a done deal you wonder whether in Foster is going to hold out for a good deal what the price will be the trees and they have to pay for the support of the Democratic Unionist Party is does all feel all the trees are most trying to put out a different impression from down the street it doesn't feel precarious and wobbly foundations here doesn't do that John just took away from the politics of things and being a political journalist on a day like today what is it like to be at the heart of it in Downing Street it's very exciting it's a privilege to be here where the action is happening and you can see the drama literally unfolding in front of you the world's media is here I can see you in a Bruce in front in the looking in my direction actually about to present the b.b.c. Want to 6 o'clock news from here broadcasting broadcasters from across the world are here you get that moment when treason is car pulls up the lectern in place the cameras lights clicking. Leader of the country you know waiting to hear what she has to say. Is a real tingling feeling and you can also hear from we have heard a lot of noise from the other end of the street there been some protesters making their presence felt as well a big police presence here it is a feeling of excitement it has to be said history in the making you know it's a bit of a cliche we've seen that happen so many times in the last year or 2 with 2 general elections in the space of 2 years on the referendum in the middle of it so. You've got to sort of pinch yourself and say yeah these are extraordinary times this is the most extraordinary general election result that many of us will remember no matter how old we are it's hard to think of one that is more dramatic than this. And this is a feeling of some real drama that affects the whole country unfolding in front of me thank you thank you generally Bruce has a new John oddly in Downing Street which leaves us just a moment to hear from one more of our m.p. Today's b.b.c. Hereford Mr and this is the reelected m.p. For Hereford south of the Jessye Norman and my started by asking how it felt to hold on to his safe to light it and ignore this hold on actually build up my shares of variance and increase the number of votes so until lights are all that function really thrilled that after what was quite sure an unusual 'd and in some respects strange campaign you know I was able to. Renew the trust of the churches of Herefordshire you talk about the numbers that did your overall majority not decrease by around 2000 yet my majority went down slightly and that absolutely right and I was never I was would have an amazing if we could have a change the limits of the 2015 election but what was really exciting about it was caring for a number of players which is another key indicator and also showed so so. Your over 50 percent of the vote and you still increase that that's a very encouraging sign what about Harrison and south that you'll see still the main talks O'Neill to do this well for me in a way the agenda has always been the same how do we build a stronger local economy. Better quality jobs higher wages. Not just high employment but RINGBACK high quality of employment if you like and that's the 1st issue 2nd issue is protecting public services and there's a lot of work to be done on you know how to improve the local government funding settlements settlements for schools with some very good stuff for the Conservative manifesto. Supporting rural schools and. Not allowing our budget to be cut as a result of the new funding formula which is on tap to get to be good for her future and so it's a real shame that the party wasn't able to achieve an overall mandate because that makes that rather faster harder to implement but there's also of another issue of course which is you know trying to. Put new investment in the county and you know obviously we need we continue to need for the river crossings and Herefords we continue to need developments around Rolf's we need more infrastructure around the county we need the next stage of our university project and Hereford and that's all going really well and the other thing that I'm really excited about is the 2nd phase of the broadband rollout which is fiber to the door for fiber rollout and I think once you get businesses and Herefordshire who's got not just 2500 megabits but one gigabit of signal and connectivity then I think it's really got to be good for economy and Vali will you be putting your hand up for any kind of promotion in the new government. Well I think it's presumptuous to put your hand up but. The energy brief is a very big. Technical complex and expensive brief it's been done in the past a camera level I'm doing it as a junior minister and frankly it will be more than enough for me to have that to continue it's very good for the county because it gives me more access to the top table so I would certainly hope to be renewed in that job but you know politics as we've just learned to gain in the last 24 hours is in the character of uncertainties is that if you see how it works the areas who said he could call me on the Jessye Norman the m.p. For Hereford and south and for Joe who has been re-elected. Under his watch Thomas 1st look out for an accident at Kingston on Church Street making 4846 round. Some very heavy traffic on the 846 Either way through Hereford 849 look out for traffic slowing up as well and Tim's tipped us off about some work setting up. The side of the break a look out for diversion signs and with night work that tell us more over 345-3054. 3. It's seen as leading. Up to 6 the menus Now Gavin coming to reason may has said she's forming a government in the national interest at what she called a critical time for the country she said she would work with the Democratic Unionists given the conservatives don't have the Commons majority the D.P.'s leader in Foster confirms they would enter discussions with the conservatives the Tories lost 12 seats in the snap election ending up with 318 M.P.'s although Kensington has yet to declare the chairman of the conservative 122 backbench committee Graeme Brady says despite the result backbench. His words calling for a new leader there is no appetite now for plunging the government of the country into. War that we really do want to try to offer some continuity prove that we can make this work effectively so I don't think it's any great appetite either for a leadership contest or the public will be relieved to hear for another German action in the past 40 minutes the prime minister has started confirming her cabinets Downing Street has said that the chancellor Philip Hammond the foreign secretary Boris Johnson the home secretary and the roads the defense secretary Michael Fallon and the Brits it Secretary David Davis would all keep their roles despite the somewhat disappointing night for the Tories the reelected conservative m.p. From it was to show Nigel Huddleston says he doesn't think the prime minister will try to achieve a majority by calling for another general election you know the legally not sensing any appetite among the British public for that and certainly locally up and many emails today on that very issue frankly don't have another election but it's I suppose the key question is how long can the minority Conservative government in partnership with b.p. Work and and we'll have to see Labor exceeded expectations were taking 40 percent of the vote gaining 29 seats that leaves them with 261 M.P.'s The Scottish National Party saw its gains in the 2015 general election slashed by 21 seats its leader Nicolas Sturgeon said the losses were bitterly disappointing and acknowledged that her call for a 2nd independence referendum had affected the results but she insisted her party would still play a critical role at Westminster Ukip supports Meanwhile collapse to share the vote fell by almost 11 percent the leader Paul not all resigned but insisted his party would continue to be what he called the guard dog off Breck sit the Ukip m.e.p. Jim Carver who lives in Worcester told Andresen he knows who he'd like to see replace Mr Nuttall. Well I think our viewers you come back really think he sings like he or a lot of.
