Still race music. Scene. It's midday I'm and the trick bosses East Midlands Ambulance Service claim a big rise in the number of serious and catastrophic incidents of the trust represents just a small number of call outs figures obtained by the b.b.c. Shows such incidents have doubled in the last 5 years reaching $36.00 in 2016 they include cases of delayed response times failing to identify symptoms and mistakes in can management some of which have led to patient deaths Paul Benson is the deputy director of nursing and quality for the East Midlands Ambulance Service if you look at the role. We don't get where. We are very or stable environments. You know cause side down the beach where. There is always actual risk however you know if you look at this what you are going to say based court records are you . Stuff say every single day a woman has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life after a fire house fire in Leicester at the weekend a 57 year old man suffered severe burns in a place along Mulberry Avenue on Sunday afternoon a woman also received minor injuries the woman arrested has been released under investigation pending further enquiries aid agencies are struggling to get help to millions of people affected by devastating floods across Asia more than 1200 people are believed to have lost their lives the agency say it's the worst monsoon season in decades with millions of people affected in India Nepal and Bangladesh and a butler from the International Federation of the Red Cross is in eastern India she says aid agencies don't yet have an overview of what's needed in the disaster zone it's nearly impossible to even when you need help and the junkie is here East. It out and I think now is the water's receding we're getting xs And we're also beginning to see the extent of the damage and I understand the needs of the people who've been hit incredibly hard by the worst floods in decades laughter as m.p. Nikki Morgan says she doesn't think Theresa May is the right person to take the Conservatives into the next general election in 2022 it follows reports the some Conservative backbenchers as skeptical that she'll stay on as leader Theresa May says she's not a quitter and there's no truth to reports she would step down in 2 years' time Nikki Morgan says Mrs May has made things difficult for the Tories after losing their majority in the commons in June there were stakes made in the general election campaign there was a focus very much on one person which I think is a mistake because I think the Conservative Party is a is a team there were stakes in the way the manifesto was handled but I also know that no leader wants to put a date on their departure in advance because then you also sense in your sign off your own political mortality members of the public have been laying flowers outside Kensington Palace in London to mark the 20th anniversary of the death of Princess Diana hundreds of cards pictures and candles have also been left b.b.c. Radio less the sports now in football less the city face the prospect of Riyadh and Tamara great leaving before the end of the transfer deadline has been allowed to leave the Algerian squad and return to Europe to formalize his transfer to a new club and sort of stood the grey wishes to move to Bournemouth after the foxes rejected a 25000000 pound bid from the cherries for the winger on Wednesday and in cricket less to share and I'm batting on day 4 of their county championship match away to Kent from Canterbury Richard Wright has this update. Both openers have already been dismissed Terry didn't like before we get to Darren Stevens for 4 that was Stevens 9th wicket of the match that the made the score 14 for one on the very same score Michael Corby got a delivery from the New Zealand international boat out of Milner stayed very low hit him to me just outside off stump but he too was given a leg before wicket made the score 14 for 2 it's no 16 for 2 calling our command has got to mark Cosgrave the skipper has yet to score it means less cheerlead by just 33 runs with 8 2nd innings wickets in hand Thanks Richard in the weather for Leicestershire and Rockland to mainly dry today with good spells of sunshine and highs of 18 degrees Celsius 64 degrees Fahrenheit and other cool and clear nights with overnight lows of 10 degree Celsius b.b.c. Radio less the news and each week thank you very much. Listen to b.b.c. Radio Leicester Let's have a look at the roads now get a latest traffic in travel we share on Sunday I think heading just as out of Leicestershire accident investigation continues on the a 5 which is close to between the hill and that on a 4 to 6 and the kills b. Area it is lucky to remain close for some time some delays in new talent 3rd Western power road temperatures down from the one held trust rates there and till the next couple of hours or so for now where have will for you in 30 minutes. That Lauri's band and good afternoon to 10 minutes past well we tune into b.b.c. Radio Leicester and as I say I have 2 guests in the studio with me today I have Sam Johnson and Emily Jane clog both our. Thank God called good Emily Jane right we've never met we've never met I've never had the privilege tell me a little bit about yourself a journalist and an author of a book called sleeps with for the week How to survive when your baby won't go the flip to sleep. Yes it's a humorous book but I think that you know you can tell what it's about from from the title from a good online Yeah. And then the day the day job which is just writing for Metro and having to post places like that Dana Bash that well it's lovely to me and thank you for coming in so. Yes you have but I can't you say and I'm often so you know. So sound for that you know new listeners always you know flicking exams to say told to tell the gospel or you know other than running around after 2 children they have just gone back to school one of them in secondary now still doing the wedding and event planning for eventually yours so building the business building the brand to get me out there and really busy with wedding season slowing down now and getting on to some wedding fast now for the rest of the year well it's great to have you both again I'm going to tell you about what in our and. Never seen anything like it was a fairground. Ok So yes this is quite so you've both got some stories before going anywhere you by saying that your little ones are off to school you know what in season is over so long is kind of the end of the so that's right yes get a little bit colder isn't it yeah yeah as you get on a later Yeah so it means. Some holidays are over. How we both played and then the little ones are going back yeah you know part of me is really glad to Selma is you know nearly over but my youngest daughter starts big school not big school well just normal school she's 4 so yeah I just find her I know it's ridiculous she seems to like a little toddler So yes it's going to be it's going to be a bit strange off to my eldest is only 6 so she's already started to go like this is like the 1st time in 6 years all kind of have 5 days with no children to run off you know running around after this it works on the kids and ones he likes and you're only 16 with full detail the 6 year old lot wrong you watch out for your little sister you know and if anyone comes nail them you know you stay warm on them yeah well you keep you all round them and you just look after them I think my with my kids is more likely to be the other way around a little one kind of sticking one on one for the other one like why is that because that's how my little one is this while even though he's the youngest he's 10 years younger than my daughter and at the primary school he was always the one looking out for her if she was upset he'd go away for who did it. And he you look at him and you think What are you going to do if you're not. You know it isn't botia the mice Yeah I don't like what Yeah he'll And you know but the youngest is just he doesn't get like that you know are you going to get hold on him or anything really and it's Ok I mean for him he went back to his primary school and that's been that's been fine he's got his friends there and he knows the school but for my daughter a day she started secondary so I got a lot about my tape between wedding season I don't know I know I know I have a child that I. Think I am going to believe that. Second a school that's like a whole different exactly a different color. Even just looking for a school by now she didn't want to. Schoolbag over that she wanted a ham back. Then that's all that is here I am addressing it I think I'm going to be just the whole going into a uniform was a whole different level everything was branded and honestly I just I was one of the cry yesterday morning. Oh no her but she was fine a day she was Ok she was she was the killer you know that's where I was that Tex may give me the thumbs up promote you when you get into the ground she was. Only 2nd carnival you know there's lots of cool them almost But law is that sometimes it's not near friends to be my. I was a sub atomic I don't know. Where she's come from is a small village school in cops and stone and now she's in this huge school where she'll be there not till she's 80 and I mean everywhere and it's huge it's boring as well for kids and I think it's hard hard growing up in this day and yeah I mean it was you know yes difficult when we were young growth you know so bullying and things like that but now I think you know there's also I think you media I think it's put so much pressure on them and there's so much pressure for them to look good and perfect as I'm worried about law how you kind of dealing with it to be on my social media I mean if I'm being really honest social media is not a really big thing in our household I've had to start doing the social media a day and Emily just because they were the cause of business Yeah but personally I'm not really on any social media and so therefore it's not drilled into my children that it's a must to have social media and you know I just teach the children love themselves more than anyone else and you know I don't tell them to aspire to what celebrities look like so I'm hoping she'll take that humility with her and just grow as the young lady that she is yeah. That's well done with a very special guest every Janklow Johnson joins me live in the studio to have a little discussion about. Reading about stories that make them smile like most of them after this. To our. Guests. Thank. You. And it never rains in Southern California doesn't like it's going to rain less a sense this afternoon it was glorious out let us know if we try. To get to the sea days after named Sam Johnson and. Clark with all the thoughts we have seen in the kids back to school then and how you know a little bit you know you are perhaps a little nervous but we're going to go to next and what you're going to give us our 1st story of the day a.j. As you know I'm a wedding events planned from event for yours and flicking through the channels on the couch she will even then I came across last week's don't tell the bride episode . Have you seen a day now is this storm where the damage done to me and I am yes it is yes it is I was absolutely horrified. And I thought I watching it I thought I wonder if he's going to turn it around and it's actually be going to be done quite you know quite resourceful and is it going to come together at the end but as the show went on I thought this is getting worse this is getting worse and worse and worse so as you know a.t.f. As you watched it he presented her wedding dress and covered in red paint. To make it look like blue blood on her dress basically yeah like demons had been going out the back of a dress yes it was so. Good and this is obviously a themed wedding and yet now I haven't had my 1st team wedding yet a.j. Right but this is been a themed by Dan and surrounded by. Death the wedding table has had Rest in peace all over them with skull interns dangling down a centerpiece is the vicar to do their vows was dressed as the Grim Reaper So am I right in thinking I've never seen the show. The grew the green with the Green Party the bride and you know until today that's right I am right so she had what was her reaction to this oh she was hard to find she was not easy especially when she saw the wedding with the wedding dress was not only every girl wants to look at no matter what the theme is I'm a strong believe that every girl wants to look the pall on their wedding day in a fabulous dress because she wants to be remembered of how she looks on her wedding day and from the from the just look quite nice not to be remembered. So I think I always think that made me laugh was that he said he he designed the wedding in on her person and that's. And I just thought was she looks lovely yes she's covered in if you talk to the book she looked to love leg. I just thought Grim Reaper had you know schools is that a good way to start your wedded life if the person that's conducting the ceremony is the Grim Reaper I'm more shocked by like how you know if they are getting married does he know or a tool you know how could he get it so Roland saying oh this is definitely what she was even had a taxi a taxi pick up from her high so that was the wedding car and the taxi don't tell in the middle of the city center where everybody took pictures of her because they would look they were looking in laughin at how wedding dress. Then they was picked up by a Ghostbuster tour bus not quite cool because I am getting. I you know I think I was taken to a dungeon of a venue amazing see I quite like that I quite like the idea of it I think weddings can be a bit dull can't layers that just me I you know it's a long days now yeah I've been through a long day I had 10 weddings issue oh my. Gosh yeah you know I think you know yes I want to you know ask you that you're not a postman comes you must you know my plan think it's course that's me yeah just watch it all it's already on satellite and it was probably I think a genuinely hand on Hall it was one of I've got to be careful these list you know I'm going to the best weddings and I. Tell you I was really chuffed about that but they build that ground see that so that's what you want. Done especially with the great women that we've had Yeah but it's find all this talk of dark there's a coconut shell and there was like a Coke floats there and there's waffles there was one and it's going to be Ok there was no red handprints only. The End Of course so people spend a ridiculous amount of weddings these days with some of this just one day is it would you spend you know how you would spend we were talking about this today actually about how much weddings cost it was I was talking to produce I did. By actually about Sagna course I'm talking about the the home of we're pretty happy about we spend what we've got a lot yeah we gathered outside a call to any Yeah yeah and we paid for what in nice moment doubtless and I put some money into it but it cost is an absolute fortune and I was still trying to keep it that was what it was on a she not she even though we try to keep it as cheap as possible that's still an expense somewhere well it's like throwing a big party or you know even if you have one time the feeling is I I always advise couples to try to keep within their budget nobody wants a huge debt after that big night you know because then it just takes the very month to feel from of that now they've got to pay for this wagon so I always say spend what you've got to spend what he can if any family members or anybody wants to help out financially that now Musgrave and then I would advise anybody any couples get in markets put themselves in lump sums of data just for one day and then you go look forward say when you go you presents You dollars a question he calls yet you go on home to me and I think I played a hand with the. Current I mean current Flashdance was feeling good afternoon teaching into b.b.c. Radio Leicester it's me 80 them with up until 4 o'clock this afternoon in for Jonathan lamp on I'm joined by 2 special guests this afternoon Sam Johnson and Emily Janklow All right so we've we've had a chat about what ins and kind of you know the way to wacky Why didn't yes I was not only went to my room having on an e-mail and. Then with a dungeon we spoke about kids going to school and they join me haven't heard from you yet. Oh well I'm going to be talking about sleep not just because I've written a book about sleep I think but you are not going to telegraph by as a shim shrimp owl she is saying about not husband snores have I sleep in separate beds why is it a good thing about thing all that's interesting Ok well we'll break you have some nice headlines when we come back if you'd like to join in with this debate the sleepless separate from your partner give us a call today I almost 6511 i Phone and all you can text as well if you are one trouble 3 starting your message with the word last or failing that if you want to it is well you can tweet me at 80 underscored Damon they're all there as you can and touch with us today if you need to be here any less than it is half past 12 now though. P.c. Radio. From as he news headlines of his East Midlands Ambulance Service claim a big rise in the number of serious and catastrophic incidents that the trust represents just a small number of call outs figures obtained by the b.b.c. Show just show such incidents have doubled in the last 5 years reaching 36 in 2016 with many leading to patient deaths aid agencies are struggling to get help to millions of people affected by devastating floods across South Asia more than 1200 people are believed to have lost their lives and a woman's been arrested on suspicion of also and with intent to endanger life after a house fire in Leicester at the weekend a 57 year old man suffered severe burns in a blaze along Mowbray Avenue on Sunday afternoon and a woman also received minor injuries in the flesh around Rutland it's going to be a mainly drawing day today we've got spells of sunshine and highs of 18 degree Celsius that 64 degrees in Fahrenheit. Let's have a look at the roads now traffic and travel with shall and Sandel no change in South Gloucestershire accent investigation continues on the a 5 which is closed in both directions between Egypt Hill roundabout on the a 46 and the kills b. Area it is likely to remain closed for some time actually busy on the before too long for temporizing use around the Broughton Asti Turnstone Stanton turn going to be the answer about 330 this afternoon as often hour we'll have more for you in 30 minutes your story is unique. However with all of the great. Sometimes funny stuff out of park going to try. To push him in the world. Sometimes tragic that was me hope to be something. To be honest adventurous I took off what happened. And then all of a sudden. The The Supreme Zand Baby Love is day 4 in the cricket today between Canton last issue yesterday was a pretty white Diana is completely rained off Leicester into battle now Richard why How's it look in 72 for 3 lesser in the 2nd innings 80 but that doesn't tell the whole story by a long way we've just seen a genuinely extraordinary things from Mark over the Leicestershire skipper can't claim a catch of Costco before he scored it looked very clear to me and to cause Grove likewise that the ball had bounce before it got to the field and indeed although can't claim the catch The catch was ruled out by the on passing Cosgrave was very very angry he then hit $34.00 off the next 19 boards including from the over in which he was dismissed 3 fours and 2. Sixes before being caught behind off the bowling as of coals for the 34 to make the school 62 for 3 because Grove was an angry man less issue trying to get on with the trying to set up the game so that they score quickly enough to have a boat to have a chance of bowling them out again but the clouds literally are beginning to gather the rain clouds down here in Kent it's been a lovely morning but I think the weather may intervene in the off the moment the fox is led by essentially 91 runs with 7 2nd innings wickets in hand they want to be leading by about 250 to 300 before they think about a declaration and that's quite a long way off at the moment blah Me never monitored lunch is on the way though isn't that. Hopefully. Richer right and we will have updates only for the cricket throughout the course of today. B.b.c. Radio Leicester. And good afternoon to you as well as 23 minutes to one on this day after day month to get this afternoon Sam Johnson and Emily Jane Clarke just before the whole past 12 news headlines only Jenny was saying about sleeping yes right not sleeping while I'm interested by this side go again what so what we're going to talk about Sleeping is my favorite things to do i k we're talking about an article about in the Telegraph where the journalist says she doesn't share a bed with her husband I sleep separately because he snores. She you know she wants a good night's sleep is you know is that is that acceptable in your eyes I mean I know because my husband and I mostly sleep part these days so you know in separate beds for various reasons we saw it off when we had the babies and you know I was getting up in the night so he kind of went off and slept on the settee to get a good night's sleep. More recently is he snoring it's not just a normal snore the idea I'm telling you recently on holiday to a caravan for a way you know trapped in this metal box with this like Morning Star it was horrendous and yet so there's just no way and I'm quite a light sleeper so I just we both when I'm punching him all night so he don't sleep so the only way we can both get a good night's sleep is to sleep but I have to say I love having the bed to myself What a lovely analogy that as well of being trapped in a mound like a little play I was sorry Ty by the end of the week I thought he was going to have a holiday I try to plug tried everything he penetrates and I'm going to have to get it defenders you know the builders use I think that is going to be the only the only but it's not just you know even someone breathing a bit loudly or if when. Laying down I don't like people cuddling me or anything like that when I'm trying to sleep even if the fingers touch my back and I'm like oh get away from me I think is I think it's because the more I have slept alone for various reasons you know you can usually snoring I have got used to my own spice now and it's really difficult to kind of sleep with someone else but you'd be surprised the amount of people we tell them this kind of say oh you know must be having problems that all what you don't know and things like law is ridiculous because surely it's better for our marriage that we both get a good night's sleep yet then we sleep in the same bed and you know you don't have to have sex but you know it's not all that went on this one when you've got a family and been allies you both working juggling up by the time you actually go to bed you have to come on you just want to go to sleep anyway don't you know if that is I mean no you know. What I mean every. You know I'm not going to be thinking you know if you want your schedule like you know or you know when you've not got the kids surely or something like that I don't think I don't you know and to some what people are so worried about when you see you know sleeping apart because at the end of the diet good night sleep is going to benefit everyone definitely with any general you say you say when you think wrong you are busy. And like so we don't want to go wrong at times yeah right so that's a lot of things that I. Stop a life gone pounce on I go back I might have a well I wish I could you know I'm a I'm quite a light sleeper cell and I think that's what they should do I think that I think since I've had my daughter I wake up with the tiniest little subconsciously you know you're still listening out for that yeah especially if they if you know that say even if it's just a cold you they sneeze and you go up straight away mind off my youngest often told was it and get Yeah it's me what I want to know is how does what you want to get into that so no. The interference of you know everybody's in the bed you wake up and everyone's in yeah I've thought about it a few times a day where when I've come in from Sometimes like in so late if I coordinate a wedding for the day and I'm probably the last sometimes up in the last one to come in and because they've had no routine because I'm not there everyone's in my bed as we please in the back to sleep in the Yeah Yeah you have them the children on the of the Hoff in the bed. And none of them can be moved like that out of it they haven't heard me come in but if it was the other way around I'd hear them all come in a day gosh I don't like what I hear him even pulled up outside I even know the sound of the call when he pulls up yeah it's my is it must be that I mean I've been wake up if my husband's on the settee downstairs Yeah I'll seize when my wife up at the flat Mind you that's pretty loud so I'm listening I know what you mean I think I was a light sleeper anyway but since kids you're definitely hyper aware I've every read more of the god in the children in my at the Hof and then another thing he were small I was he works more hours than I do wrong I can't I'm a power everything's dead routine school one work school pick up school activities dinna get the but to get the kids to bad then do a few household chores he's been out all day I should be doing his job and then I'm in bad patches really do not like sitting back here and can't go after I hear. Anything that I know I really am having a wedding if you know I just sit there casually you know I was Ok so yeah yeah yeah really. Laid back with him this line of things in his own talk I think so do you. Do you where do you stand on bed sharing do you right now I love having separate beds you know I'm going to how do you go about it but we haven't got that often. Is that if I go out and I'd feel better I was out after the football then last name is what I am going on so I can rule you guys to the Yes Yeah I think I mean she doesn't like you and I really like school I love sleeping. Bag and I will be a lot you know I don't really like being you I don't know what you're going to leave and I just want to I want to you know I think that you like your having a could lay could lead so you've got you need someone in the bed with you and some but not necessarily need you like by. Yeah yeah do you like that could go even if you if he was a Snorri Cutler would change things just not I think the only time I really know that he's in a deep sleep is when he says no I really and then after the show him on his side and that. Exaggerated that so that's a job in itself and I don't drink after that so it turns you into a psycho something about the sound of snoring or you know I haven't got a bad temper I'd like to think you know. Something about what's wrong in the middle light starts off kind of like be quiet people quite place and you end up like full of shit. No I don't believe them I don't you guys know. You know yeah women never date but they have got this great well got to tell you of Gee I've been you in the Cape. Got my get on you saw it was not evil What was it is it was how I can usually get lucky but with my husband yeah sometimes it's whatever position he's going to thank you used to work actually And you know just the world only so I did get a bit less kind of monstrous I'm waiting for the when I have a snoring away for the walk with a pillow above my head you must know me to be honest I have considered that and then I've been so tired and desperate when I was like 100 snoring here you do fantasize about you know but then I always think that enough to shift the body and . See why another got a baby in the house might be you know yeah unhygienic but you honestly when you got tied things like go through your head and you seriously think what do you trust him out really just like we still have to get. Even from you still have to get up at school one needs to be done oh yeah however you look on the school when that school where needs to be done some I feel like I need a day with your teacher. Can you come in how did mine plays because I am find it impossible to get school on time never and I'm close I need to know what to going to be going to school I need you to come and you know I think that's the kind I think is the wedding and event planned and its just got me patting my whole life that my whole day. I need to. I mean I need it we all need a day with the b.b.c. Radio Leicester is quoted to one of these Thursday afternoon. Bad Day Good afternoon. To b.b.c. Radio. And I mean Jane. It's from Brian impounds saw listening to was by the river 60th birthday Oh Oh happy birthday Priam people Brian they will hope you have a wonderful day and it's lunch time yeah it's lunch time to my point going have a pint you know you yeah during the day your tune in to be sure that's the my to special guest only John Clarke and Sam Johnson join me live in the studio which talks about other things our bedroom is a great one 0 you don't already think I was a good one where we're going next Sam Wow. There's a huge controversy on a breast feed in. La I thought we'd go there. Again this one is a couple getting married yeah they obviously have a newborn Yeah I'll show you the picture so obviously she's Ok so you see us waiting and she's breastfeeding in her dress at the altar as that possibly giving never House Ok. I wanted to know your thoughts like this this was this was looked upon as a really really beautiful image a lot of positivity a lot of positive comments everybody loved the image in the photographer said it was one of the best photos he's ever taken yet but I know a lot of people would out a few people came in a Muslim will surely she could have waited 10 more minutes. I really think you know a mother's dedication to have chai you'd get in marriage at such a lovely time they've just had a baby clearly. What I think is Bufo Yeah I wouldn't I wouldn't have a problem with my breasts both my Yeah my breasts I suppose my children even if I had it wouldn't I mean when people say things that we couldn't they just waited about how do you know human is with this one could she have just what you know laughter she said was it necessary to do it right at the old. Saying it wasn't necessary because it shuts them hell up doesn't it you're trying to listen to the vicar you you know you stick it to him it was so you know and that cried out hungry cry in front right so for me it wouldn't necessarily get like I can't wait to get up to start of but for me it was more like you know yeah you know if you try to listen to something I shut them up quick yes rather than worrying that we're going to sort of you know not get fed I think there's some of the right naturally thought yeah yeah I did see a time yeah I'm really because I don't know if this is a bloke thing perhaps was just on am a little bit my sister in law Louise my nephew Yeah the 1st time it happened right she you know. And I didn't know what. She was there breastfeeding truth and I was lot all night I don't really like you know I look out the window you're talking to a not mine you know like I was just awful sorry but uncomfortable was that because you didn't want her to think you were looking toward look through all the 2 of you didn't want to kind of thing always trying to pluck a look at my maid of which she definitely wouldn't have been quite what I was yeah yeah I would she felt ready never slow with a bat but now so you know every fall yeah I think you're right yeah I think yeah I want to because I'll say 100 now you know I'm just I'm just pointing out that it's a coin empowering for women because if you're feeding your child Yeah exactly yeah yeah amazing and it's you know you can be me and yeah I remember the 1st time I did it trying to do with this guy off to cover and yeah. You know when a cover up think yeah so I think yeah but you know what you try to get a very large and she didn't like yeah do it and then you think if you're in your Sunday lunch someone says Yeah I mean I see you in it like it was and I'm not but then I think a few weeks you know just like wow. And actually you don't really see much because the baby had. So you know the next guy gets covered up yeah yeah what do you I mean Also people do have problems with it but it is I mean you know that you feed and you buy Yeah it's not much really really it's a man I love really I mean now actually breastfed my eldest into she was going to so that you know gets another thing people say yeah you know all that it was like a bad time to say anything oh yeah yeah they're eating normal food but it was the only thing you got but I mean yeah so I think now when I know it's been a few years since I've stopped breastfeeding I love seeing breasts but yeah phasing it kind of yeah I know it's I don't. Do it but I'm not truth. It's bright as well there's no I think I think it's I think I think the cow brought If you always are in town the other day and there's a lady who's clearly not you have to scarf was breastfeeding a baby and I thought Yes Yes Good on you yeah well you know that if you're on the high street having a coffee on your lunch there or there are people you know that once in sort of their opinion not growing up but people look at that time I mean it does make me laugh in a world where we're surrounded by kind of sexual images in this business that people. Are Funny about in this day and I try and yet they're Ok to see I know it's like telling a few That's right please I'm talking I call a section of loose women last week as wow and there was a big controversy about whether you should have a bath with your child and everyone was saying no you shouldn't it's inappropriate it's this and it's that young you know young kid in the bath and it was. It was the same kind of positive versus negative really should it be done is inappropriate but I think it's because those people probably see it just from a sexual point of Yeah yeah which is where did it yeah which is where you know where does the world we live in the now is that yes you know it's depressing if it is I mean I remember you know I mean about a mom and dad I mean you know what 21 anything like that you know I mean that's I'm not sure you have to grow out of it naturally all of you I mean I both with my kids you know my husband but obviously as I get older we're probably you know probably right hopefully I suppose with my dad a spike but last time I actually used Brown flannel over his private that night is not at all what it's really you know it doesn't matter we were crowned you know house and. I don't want to just about being comfortable in your own skin like she was so I don't know it's just. Nice family growing up surely it's Paul of growing up. Most people have probably had a bath would have fun with it but yeah you know I can't it was a huge topic just like this photo Yeah and I was looking from a wedding planning point of view I just thought how brave you are back to I mean she looks absolutely stunning in the photo and happily fall back to plan this wide and when they have this newborn and still make him a part of the y. Then well it's like well it won't quite be the same for you but you're not Marjorie's your children would like be if it ever happens be part of you know breastfeeding let. Them know you know what about me about my almost more special in a day I mean I'm on the last talk with Jonathan and the conversation about whether children should be part of the wider And I think children make a way definitely yeah so the interest when you get it together spoke about that with not you traveling the last time I leave the kids yeah I way I'm not right i would you know just like I'm not sure I want to be a big family Ok yeah to me it's a bit noisy. And even I'm somewhat in where they've hired in one is to look after the children for the day what light going on there. I know I saw and yes I think you are you so much Eli and let's set up something I was clearly not at the wedding we went to the Had a magician and children and yes I know that going on with you and it was really wild as what wow was it that. Quickly it could have been on for at least another couple of I think and the joint thought some Johnson thank you so you think he was a nice way to stay. On a recall in the room I still have a little bit. Of mostly well padded have at the time. Little May. Know when to. Quit school see me. Don't let me be missed. Sometimes I. Will be. Some time and. The moon. Now I'm on the. Moon comes to the bowl the movie. Just should move. In the soup see a. Preview of The New Cold preview. And then coming up after Jack I'm going to speaking to Barry Smith now. Rely on the high 500 Manton's in Britain and Ireland with a drop of at least 500 feet on all sides he's recorded all of these walks and Yes Glen Don't be so hard on yourself Good afternoon tea it's 30 minutes past one well next afternoon nothing Claes my head better than popping a walking bass on or around in the traffic aka paved and set off on a nice walk taken in the Leicestershire countryside from all walks on to be honest all massively adventurous though a normal Johnny scene is our biggest challenge any other challenges the pub that we're going to pick for lunch the next guest is former laughter and he's climbed the highest $500.00 mountains in Britain and Ireland with a drop of at least $503.00 on all sides So what inspired Barry Smith to do this and is Iraq or he joins me now good afternoon about how it I'm fine thanks to 80 and it's good good to be here it's great to have you here by you know we've got your beautiful book a royal front of as we speak more about this but 1st of all you've got his home I explained to me that top 500 Summit with a drop of 500 full on all sides yeah I mean that's correct and it's I think the 1st time that dives mountains have been listed so there were all the mountains in Britain and Ireland that people have heard of Ben Nevis Snowdon Scafell Pike how Valen Cata redress current rule in Ireland. It's take me 53 hours to climb the wall the $53.00 him. Yeah I mean you. My 1st one was the age of 7 in case people thought I was really old wrestling. With my father and he took me up school for pike and that was quite daunting at the time but. I found that I really enjoyed climbing climbing mountains he said Call of the mountain $500.00 on them he's travelled the length and breadth of Britain and the island as well I mean it's a lifetime achievement isn't it for 500 some it well I don't think many people have done or 500 not but they could it's perfectly possible to do that and if you've got enough sort of determination as far as I'm aware about 20 to 30 people have done the more but it's right across Britain an island so the North is a mountain called Bend spinning out right on the north coast of Scotland this West . Yes Brandon mountain an island which is right on the Atlantic coast lovely spot you know I recommend anybody go there even if you don't climb all 500 What's the planning like that goes into these cloth can only imagine it's not the case you know joking aside of me saying well that we walk in the street the dog in the and off we go we have a war there must be quite a meticulous kind of plan that goes into each one of these summits that you've done Yeah and it depends how how long more how long the walk is because this really long walk through it might be 2 or 3 days cross cross Scotland and the shorter walks I mean if anybody's think you are. Starting or climbing when I strongly recommend Snowdon because there's a good path all the way up the cafe at the top I mean and under train if you really want to do something different but you need to you need to probably buy a work sack it's advisable take some chocolate some water. So close it's a lot colder at 3 and a half 1000 feet which is the height of Snowdon than it is ground level down here in Leicester you know and so you need pullovers and an anorak could well be raining weather's worse on these mountains than it is it here well I can only imagine he said then you know in Scotland you know $2.00 to $3.00 days if you're out warming I mean how well do you sleep do you take a 10 wheel well we went from we did a walk from can lock you to Dundonald which goes over 8 of these top 500 summits 7 Munros for those who understand Munro's the mountains over $3000.00 foot in Scotland and it was today walk and after we thought there was a both a which is a stone heart in Scotland shelter. But the both it was a lot so we had to sleep outside. And the 1st day was 10 hours walking the 2nd day was 14 hours walking. So so on the 2nd day I got my brother to try and Brewer up but he's absolutely hopeless with the color gas produced it lacked lukewarm liquid that he described. And it started to snow at that point. Really grip kind of weather conditions of the I mean with 500 sun it has there ever been a time where you've actually thought out an f. I'm going to come down the other side of this mountain Yeah well there's times when we thought is this never going to end I mean we once did a war again in the West of Scotland 10 hours of solid rain and wading through 2 or 3 foot rivers and we reached the top of the 3rd mountain we were on and I was with a couple of friends and one of them said I think we should stay here till the cloud clear so we can see the view and we thought you must have lost his mother you know you know. Who is the best walking companion Well I mean. I have 3 both my brothers have climbed over Munro's they've climbed a lot of these mountains Alister and Jonathan and Jonathan has a friend called Jonathan Pyne and he's also climbed a lot though they were very good and we they often take a dog up there the dogs are of course much better than we are much faster regular You go all over the place what's it like experience in there you know actually concrete a mountain with your brother Ali it's it's great to it's great to finish I tell you it's great to be in the pub but the end I mean you get to the pub and you think that's fantastic you get some dry clothes on. One of the things we learn there is not to plan walks you know you have 3 or 4 pints and you really think they can you can conquer the world you know so don't plan with any walks in the park I think that's a great bit of advice we're going to have some music from Jamie Little said and then we'll be back to Barry speaking more about this beautiful book. a. Leg. J.b. Lawson can't see straight Good afternoon to you is 22 minutes past one might guess by Smith joins me in the studio to talk really about this this lovely boat the top 500 some it's a life time of hillwalking Barry k. Smith. Then you know about some of the more treacherous conditions that you face off it was locked and he got to sleep out under the stalls like you said 2 to 3 feet of water that you had to wade through. When the weather is wrong and when the sun is shining and you've conquered a mountain what does that feel like well if it's fabulous too if you're finished or whatever the weather related but sometimes the weather is glorious I mean I went to a couple of years ago to Wales to Ca to redress which is lovely mountain in Wales in January and you wouldn't think it would be glorious in January but got to the summit and it was 20 odd people on the summit and they were all sort of sunbathing it was it was warm it was 60 degrees sunny it was just fabulous and you walk around and eights it is better in the sun. Shining we went to a place called the paps of Jura which is an island off the west coast of Scotland which some people some people may have heard of whisky like the whisky euro the whisky coming through. And indeed there's a fellow race in the pops of jury and every entrance gets a bottle of whisky to finish class and I think what it's about a literal Yeah it's a log it's quite hard work for a bottle with. Let's talk about the book because you know as I've said it's a really sick coffee table book it's a lovely book I mean how did you go around you said then for 53 years that you've been walking mountains and you know the 1st with your dad when he was 7 years old how did you go about recording that because this is an extensive clip of documentation of all of these summits and I've always had a direct Well I I kept a diary when I was doing The man rose which for the $3000.00 foot mountains in Scotland and. Got got that typed up not with that was very helpful in giving me some notes of all the mountains and then for a few years for 5 years I didn't really keep a good enough record but luckily over the last 10 years I've been keeping a fairly full record it certainly helps to have a record when you write a book because when you don't have a record it's difficult to remember them because there's lots of information isn't there each summit they're all there are points of interest they're all you know your hints and tips as well there's this little still isn't there yeah and so some of them I've been back to not all of them but some some of them I've been back to mainly because I haven't had decent photographs so I'd go back and take some decent photographs so you have to wait for a day with decent weather to do that but and to check on bits of the wheat and so on but I might not be quite sure of the photographs going back a 2nd time around it must be worth it seen them in print and see them in this book because there are a lot of stunning photos in it yeah I mean they've they've mostly been taken by myself. For one of my brothers but we've got a few guest photographers who are just friends friends of mine who who are quite expert at photography so hopefully the quality is pretty good I haven't used any photographs from the Internet or anything like that so people are now so yeah I was quite pleased with the results of the photographs What's it like you know having your book here you know in the studio with those you know all of these lovely kind of stories that you've got all of of walking there with friends and your brothers as well what's it like now to see finally in print it's great to see it in print and I am very pleased with the result I mean used when I started walking when I was age 7 or or when I was a child I would never imagine that one day I could I could somehow put together a book and. With all $500.00 summits in Britain and Ireland they go down to 2477 feet that's the lower one knockin if in an island for those who are interested . But most them are over 2500 feet but now and I'm delighted with the result and a lot of help from people. People who've written in it my brothers are written to help me with the photographs and the design are fabulous what they can do with design this is very what's left to conquer. Well I'm not quite sure. What I'm going to do next but. That there's lots left to conquer and I'm hoping that over the next 2 or 3 years maybe I'll produce another book certainly one thing 11 somebody could day whether it be me is go down to 2000 feet and say you've climbed f. Remounted in Britain and Ireland the same criteria they all carry out that's what I said other challenged. Yeah I'll be right. You know seriousness you know you are not just and this is a beautiful book welcome people get hold of it from yeah it's on Amazon and if you go to the website top 500 Summit dot co dot u.k. You can order it from. I went to war or maybe it's it's easy to order and it's in lots of bookshops but mainly bookshops in Scotland Wales and Ireland where the mountains on the Lake District of course it's all 400 some it's a lifetime of hillwalking by Barry Smith honestly it's a lovely bill and it's been great having you in the studio I thank you so much for join his own people thank you thank you. And good afternoon to you as well East Day 4 in the cricket in the game between Kent in Leicestershire look him pretty good after a wet day yesterday which would raise go all the details for us it's raining hard on the. Bright morning when all sorts of interesting cricket was played including a remarkable innings of 34 of just 19 balls from the ship's captain Mark. Took just started to rain just before lunch umpires took them off with a lesser 97 for 4 which means they lead by a 114 with 6 2nd innings wickets remaining potentially 680 was left in the day so it could have gone either way up to a point less sure would have been looking for a lead of about $27280.00 and perhaps having 40 overs it can't seeing if they could bowl them out for a 2nd time but this rain is going to change all the calculations that you can't ground staff say can wait at the moment as they pull all the covers out and I can already see some puddles appearing on the edges of some of the cover so we're going to lose at least an hour and a half or so and that just might render the rest of the afternoon well there were just won't be enough time to get a positive result in the game we'll see what happens but unfortunately we're running hard down here and can't bring. Radio Les The Good afternoon tea is 21 minutes to today so how long is Conan fully on Today show I am sure you are going to be talking about jellyfish yet no one is a going to sting Illian I get in swimming shorts or anything like that it comes as the seas are all loaded with jellyfish and you know I saw that we see a lot in the press about overfishing our waters show so should we be eating jellyfish should be repopulate jellyfish on our barbeque with finding out more about that I would want to hear from is out today was the way this thing you have ever ate said the weirdest thing you've ever eaten I want troublefree starting text message with the word Lester Oh you can give us a ring I want 651149 will be speaking jelly fish very very shortly I want to light the way the thing you've ever eaten. Stowaways music life b.b.c. Radio Leicester. In The Bangles eternal flame that afternoon to 60 minutes to say the next afternoon of Ian locust I've tried all straight cheek came face of even try to ram Chilla Bob never ever tried jellyfish Well according to a marine biologist the sais that loaded him full of jelly fish that we should seriously consider eating them but how would we farm them what do they taste like how would you catch him even and what did make a tongues tingle well which accounted his on the Marine Conservation Society government which all your good afternoon while I'm hungry actually and I have my lunch yet own on me I'm not tempted to eat jelly fish right now somehow well there's the 1000000 dollar question thank you very much for Joyce I'll be sure that Lester will see I don't really get rich I mean in all seriousness jellyfish what's the problem with jellyfish and all that many of them there are a lot Yeah and but there are naturally lots and they tend to come in one great big . Like a bloom of a jellyfish floating around in the sea water and we've been running surveys on our beaches for 10 years or so now and we're not necessarily finding more of them you know year on year but we do find that lots of them you know suddenly appear and it seems to be related to see temperature when the sea was up in spring might be there's lots of food for them to eat so they suddenly appear and they normally go again you know it's a perfectly natural phenomenon but in some places such as in the Med where that Professor you're mentioning talked about saying you know these are problematic and perhaps a solution might be eating them they do get sudden blooms of these really quite toxic jellyfish that suddenly appear and really make life horrible for people on beaches going for a swim for example so is the gist of it that we should eat them then because they're all mean is. It's well I suppose yes and no I think to try them and to make them part of our diet I think is worth considering we use lots of other marine resources and they awful of protein you know they're mostly water of course but what material they do have has protein so it can be eaten unlike the serving suggestion that professor gave of putting in tempera batter because anything tastes very nice in a batter. But then the hand if we are going to do that in a big scale we're going to need to work out what impact that's going to have on the environment and work out whether there are going to be if you take too many what results and how many can you take so many considering if we're going to go on a big scale and like you say you know the problem is is that you saying climate change things alarm and we're going to the nominee that you're nominally on to the beach when I was a youngster and if someone mentioned jellyfish you thought it was Mark a month of the say but it's something now that we just we've just come to accept the seaside I think so yeah and I'm not sure why I think it's become very routine for us to go to the seaside for our summer holidays I think we know more about what lives on the water so actually you know what it is still under studied and there's still lots of mysteries to try and answer but people do know a little bit more about what lives out there starfish to. Lobsters and crabs and things like that it's less scary people know about them so I think people get more sensible knowing that jellyfish probably shouldn't be touched because some of them are poisonous some of them are really quite harmless. And so they're not necessary to be really feared would this be a solution to the way that we over fish our season we know that some fish are alarmingly low numbers would would would kind of farming jellyfish would not be a solution to over overfishing I don't think so I don't even make much difference to it so it's a bit like. Treating symptoms rather than curing a disease if overfishing is going on we should really be looking. Managing fisheries better but it could be possible to use jellyfish sustainably Any them I'm not sure that farming would necessarily be needed I suppose they could be done on you know it could be done but yeah I think naturally there's quite a lot of jellyfish in the sea and they could be harvested sustainably $1000000.00 question there Mitch It will be in jellyfish in the next 10 years or so I. I always like to be proved wrong I suspect not and you know in huge numbers of course they're all part of the world where they're actually very popular and a big delicacy you never know oh I like it I like a keep is one in will which you have to thank you for joining us here at the less stuff thank you thank you Richard I get that from the Marine Conservation Society So there you have it doesn't apply any time soon he'll be able to have mushy peas chips and jelly fish. a way. There is a mayor has repeated a claim that she wants to lead the Conservatives into the next election speaking in Japan she says she wants to get on with the job despite her performance in this year's general election where the Tories lost their overall majority Well Lord has not signed is the man those who say she may not be given the chance people talk about for you I don't believe so I think the next election will be probably in about 2 years time everybody no reason made tenure on front row people have been laying flowers outside Kensington Palace in London to mark the 20th anniversary of the death of Princess Diana hundreds of cancer pictures and candles have also been left in Leicestershire organizations supported by the Princess have also been paying tribute to her and then Hartley is the founding director of the Richard Attenborough Center at the University of Leicester which done officially opened just 3 months before she died she spent such a lot of time with Sam in the important thing was that she was going to meet people we had to shed you obviously but her she had you was I'll stay as long as I need to to talk to these people and she had an immediate interest in an immediate in gauging and you could tell that people felt important when she spoke to them that was the key. In b.b.c. Radio Leicester sport than in football on transfer deadline day Leicester City's Riyad Morris has been allowed to leave the Algerian squad to sort out a move the winger has interested a host of clubs including Tottenham over Chelsea and Arsenal are thought to be no longer interested the foxes have also had 2 bids rejected Arsenal defender Callum chambers cricket now let's just kind of Kent Canterbury is again been hit by rain. 97 for for leading by 114 runs Richard Ray is there. In the middle at the moment because he has actually stopped running the sun has come back out the blotters artwork and the covers are starting to be removed I would guess though it will take the ground stuff a good 45 minutes or so to get the ground back into any sort of playing conditions impose a coming off now with the Kent skipper some northeast so we'll find out in a round about 10 minutes time exactly what the plan is it will take some of the overs or 4 days left in the day the question is can the foxes score quickly enough so that they can declare and get content have a go at them all that you're settle for the draw and play out time will know hopefully in about 15 minutes time thank you Richard well in the weather here for Leicestershire and Rutland showers will start to crop up in places this afternoon some of them could be heavy and thundery highs today of 966 Fahrenheit tonight it'll be cool and clear again with lows of 10 Celsius b.b.c. Radio Leicester news Thank you Christian health. Let's have a look at the race now traffic and travel with Sharon Sandel Ronnie and want congestion is easing southbound tween junctions 19 and 18 all lanes are open now after an accident so not looking so good on the and 6 recovery work taking place between junctions one and 2 for the m 691 lane remains closed for that recovery work as he heading northbound. Sometime so often now more for you in 30 minutes. B.b.c. Radio Leicester. And good afternoon to you as well as 5 minutes past to me 80 Damon with you up until 4 o'clock this afternoon I want to know from me was the way Days thing you've ever eaten Ok that's when a night comes after news also any a study in research shows that we should perhaps be eating jellyfish because is that many of them in the say post the way they sing the Eva every And that's only today gives a call 16511049 or you can text as they want trouble free start the message with the word Lester there are some fantastic suggestions coming in none of them of mine we feel hungry oh yeah. It. Down. Each time we meet. One. Has just. Lost each time. Lottery doubting. Me. Dealing with Warrick or Dionne Warwick as some people say as well walk on by good afternoon to. Find you in fine form on this Thursday after they coming up after the bubble in the White is going to be talking about technology now right to admit it I'm useless I'm absolutely useless with technology but why is this such a buzz about brand new technology why is it that we have to rush out and we have to go and and kind of Kilo from 4 o'clock in the morning just to get our mitts on and be the 1st people to have a. More more in bed. Expensive products and hoping to keep up to date with technology when I will be something within a couple of months or so with finding out more about that after this. Ok. Just keep. Going. And keep. Going. Keep saying. Ok. Could you really love good afternoon to 12 minutes past to you tune into b.b.c. Radio Leicester now makes its afternoon I am not afraid to admit it I am useless with technology absolutely useless now my mates they want the latest phone the most up to date computer console the newest edition of some game but all passes me all by technology evolving all the time why is it that many of us want to be the 1st in line to get the latest products is it the buzz or is it just bragging rights why is there such a hype his lecture in designing creative industries from d.m.u. And she joins us now good afternoon to thank you oh yes good afternoon very well thank you I think it was much becoming calm 1st of all let's let's get this we've all seen it queues snaking around the city center people huddled up with the hoods up in the house all in the middle of winter waiting for the latest technology why I think it's a bit of both just a beautiful 2 a bit of hype and a bit of buzz and bragging rights we all want this latest piece of technology and there's been links to psychology and human behavior but actually we're looking at it from a survival point we want the biggest And we want the best we've done this ideology around our food and those resources are readily available so it's that and it's the need in the one creating the desire can I get something better yes I can why not let's go for it will this always be the case that will always be you know we see so phones we see computer console's that they come asshole or this is excellent and we just in time for Christmas or Unison I think great but then the following year there's something else that's out this brown year will we ever be ahead of technology will we always be in this cycle now I think we well yeah the tech companies are actually quite clever in the way they do this they give us a hint of what we could have with their a.r.v. On the way we're heading in that's the predictions are hitting with the I 4 in 8 we have a little bit something new yet and we got used to it but then they'll bring us something else which will sideline it so the wearable technology the Internet of Things. They're constantly giving us something new to desire in that car in front of us we just keep running after it but we do we did keep going after a lot you say I mean only becoming as a society perhaps obsessed with technology I had someone the other day right so they've got one of these things right and they didn't do anything. And they will so worried that there was going to be a hole in the data for that warm day. Yes I know I'm one of those people I will constantly check my data and this is where it makes that clever link there's now a new thing called New technology neuromarketing where we're actually using your a science and companies are using this large technology companies to figure out what we want what stimulates our mind and at the moment if it's a point of desire or gap and we need to fit it I need to get my $10000.00 steps in and I'm not going to lie I shall be going to do the rest. After this but why is that is it the case that we have to stay here we've got this technology so we've got to use it. Yes but it's also so integrated into our lives that we need it so it's not we've got to just use it we need it I perform everything on my phone and if not arsed move on to my laptop or my tablet but it's ease of use and that efficiency and that fulfillment and that's where your desire comes in the desire and the fulfillment process what would have would have with a digital detox pink if you bought one of those and so Roy I think you're going to look in this studio right you know allowed any internet phone computer would you be able to hack it if I'm in a corner crying. Isn't all human is although that we're going back to a lot of retro things as well because you know it's all about the latest i Phone for us and now there is a huge want need for Nakia 33 ten's and people wanted to go back to old school phones that they could just plug into the wall and just phone and just text message of games or another thing we see more and more these Super Nintendo is being released instead of the most latest Nintendo's Playstation ones instead of Playstation 64 whatever they are you know why is that is an argument that we do we do we go back to retro stuff and I think that's a nostalgic element on the father element my generation where the millennial generation might not necessarily relate to the 3310s or the the Nintendo's but it's an idea harking back to my childhood I'm going to say not really but it's just and it's another way to cause hype and a buzz that need and desire I had that back then but I want it right now as well people not bought by the prices the thing. Yes or no but again it's it's in that we live in expendable income we live in a scenario where actually we rent things we lease things so if we're paying on a contract and it's a cheaper contract but I get something a little bit better why not and we're confident given that Kyra again he said whole Caris is disruption isn't it yes yes I think that is what the technology industry is very very good at doing they're good at disrupting the way we live and potentially solving problems we don't know that are there so for example if we look out there and we look. Be idea where b. And b. They want to say problems are we exist they really how we could get a taxi before but then it became a long list of all from one phone therefore if I get a better phone that makes me and allows me to do things faster more efficiently I'm going to get it it's as simple as that is you know it's a subject that we could keep going on in our interest in like the world's biggest taxi company that owns no cars here was that all about it's exactly that it's the disruption it's a way of causing or creating innovation and we're now looking at the new tech startups and looking at what's happening in Silicon Valley they're looking at the can actually how can we make life better that's not do things the way of the old or the traditional methods that's come up with these new creative ideas and if they're linked around technology we reduce that risk and that's exactly what we did we engage people with their cars and we create and up and we just create that service where we always strive to have the latest technology think I think we well until it gives us a slight dystopian edge and maybe ai is going to be the disrupter where we start to question it or you Peter Brimelow Saif Ali Khan a movie star don't. Think he's being great avenue in the studio say thanks for joining us thank you very Lester thank you. And well you saw horse racing this song is isn't there good afternoon teaching to b.b.c. Radio Last Days 22 minutes past I am asking you say What's the weirdest thing that you've ever eaten lots of you get in touch today Sean's going to say chicken a mushroom mushy love life that's a little bit different I suppose not quite as different as Alan Alan said rattlesnake is the way this thing that he's every 10 rattlesnake Yeah that does sound a little bit weird actually that there's also going to it from Tommy he says that he tried sea urchin and something that he believed to be it was called sea dog in China he thinks it might have been seal crickets and scorpions in Beijing jellyfish and pigs is quite nice is another one in his thirty's chicken eggs are part of the mall where Polly developed chicken feet inside horrible that was in the Philippines . Figures showing a rise in the number of serious and catastrophic incidents of the trust with over half of casing made into the pay patients death figures obtained by the b.b.c. It's easy can't take God away it is going to Radio. Well the last time we had from Richard Ray a day for the cricket between Kenton last to share it was looking radio role of the damp away Richard was the case now the sun is shining a day in the covers have all come off here in Canterbury was basically set fair for the rest of the day but an awful lot of water did go on the couple is joining the heavy share we had during the launch into a lesser show on 97 for 4 in their 2nd innings they lead by a 114 with 6 2nd innings wickets in hand what it does mean eighty's we're going to lose quite a lot of a visit. At the moment in the some particular areas of the outfield that it giving them some concern the can't ground stuff scattering the the sawdust all around or on the down patches so that the players aren't slipping around too much but I think they can have at least another half an hour's work to do my guess is we'll have about 40 over that's left in the much by the time that done that doesn't really leave Lecia anough time to score enough runs to declare and get Kent in so it might be simply a case of batting to save the game from then take take the draw has still been a pretty good. By the folks in live take some encouragement from that they just have to make the game safe 1st I'm guessing id in about half an hour's time. And we will have full days on the cricket throughout the course of Iraq hell b.b.c. Radio left up. Thank. God. Thank you. Thank you. Alex. Ask. Us. Back. To our. Thanks. Amy Winehouse Ronson Valerie that could have been teaching him to b.b.c. Radio next to his friends 2 minutes to 3 coming up half the Steelers wail we're going to be speaking to judge every. Relationship therapist you know if you want to tie it down a little bit going to talking as Erin's can maintain a healthy sex relationship when the children still live in the house kind of cause problems for the marriage come even close the parents splitting up was speaking to John after this. . Well that is after I was under the impression the mom and dad had only had sex 3 times in their life and that was all today may. Cause I mean we think of all the every healthy. Lation shit however new research shows that more and more parents are struggling to maintain a healthy sex life while their children are still living in the house so how compare with a still big game frisky under the sheets without getting caught and having somehow that embarrassing conversation with your degrees or relation therapist Hello John how are you like oh thank you Larry you are more one thank you very much Joe So come on and what is this all about I mean what is it the parents have to creep around the house if the children live in that. I think it would you say about going back to parents' generation maybe a couple didn't have that I don't know how old you are baby couples don't have as much sex then things have changed people expect a lot more once a lot more still have a sex drive to ignore it and the fact that children do now less than live at home so much longer partly because of how much rent because the house prices and all the rest of it it means is a lot longer stretch of time and Harrison potentially having to negotiate how do we go about helping and I mean one relationship I was comparing is go 34 from not having sex. Say well what relationship troubles can parents go through from not having So I mean is there a chance that parents could split up over this I over lack of a sex life yes very much to give the parents are in a living sexual relationship but off with the less and less that changed both in this love the sex drugs and maybe saw that she were having no more sex then it becomes a name it's not all failed and it does create an awful lot of stress so very much see couples where one of them doesn't want sex anymore and this one's got a major sex drive and then it's a relationship actually when both want sex and there are the extended family not just children living it highly it's very difficult to just. Be a spontaneous another big a found and then do what you need to do. And you know there are repro prick boundaries really in terms of what children do here but also it's about those people being relaxed and maybe they need to get away from their own hard to actually have their sex life the tones we want composed be doing then to ensure that they do have a healthy sex life. So something like date nights. It might be that the children go somewhere else for the mangos they were grandparents something like that and actually it's all about then their mother and their father having time together it's also about children there in the moment that do need a bit of time to get there and that's if they want to go and have a child in their room to then obviously depends on the age of the child. If if parents can go away for a weekend if they can cook something cheap and that surely you know Paul I'm not so sure Tom and that's great it might be a sure Tom is planned then when the kids are at school that you go back to bed enough to name. But the workin at the weekend I mean who knows what is I mean what about those you know empower seen situations I mean what's the best way around if the children do catch you at it. Well I'm not really you have to look when you've been through a door or you have some balls the bedroom door just for that time period no to be used all the time but just for that time period so that there is nothing embarrassing that can happen you know is about what I'm saying about appropriate boundaries. And what would be your you know your final but. Is it just a case that sex is one of the most natural thing on the planet. Say says definitely one of the most natural things on the planet and if you're with somebody because you love them and you want that's a sure relationship with them then find a way of prioritizing that so that your relations that ship dozens if not 3 of you want sex any more than Co If you want to live. Lot lodges and you're Rafe you know that she you in the majority it relationships it's a really hard toss to not go that children can separate euro zone if they've got grim pirates self-esteem issues all the rest must save thing where they can not have a sexual relationship when you need one so proud charges now and just they appropriate How you doing it. Thank you so much for joining the. Pleasure thank you thank you very much thank you that was their relationship therapist speaking to. Start this this very afternoon. a. Glory of love Pete said.
