Thing used to work for Manchester United Teles work for Sky t.v. But that's good but that's really not interested I didn't know that about you so it is really you don't know a lot about me but what you do know is all you need to know right. Now I'm in trade at Manchester United t.v. Then that means you've got to me all the players a lot of time. We did last night in terms of them yeah yeah well you see this Sydney is like brilliant it was just a cruise and we then went back and was that. Was a nice night none of them were really there so nice when you don't know the nicest was the nicest because they're all pretty normal footballers they're all really big times most of them but the nicest one was Phil Neville really I watched the women's game with yeah my major and it's he always comes across he was it was really polite but we were press they hated the press so we we didn't do very well out of this in the interest in Germany. When Alanson used to call him the chieftain me yeah he was one of my best friends a long time and I just feel yeah yeah he was a he came to see me in hospital and everything and I don't know if anyone's It knows where the chief is to let you know as I say like I did I did he was a nice one he was some of the other just for footballers with the famous Alex Ferguson hairdryer treatment if you're into football you know what I mean by that I have had that shouts of people you want from him oh you shouldn't do that you will fall there were lots in the head try a treatment I thank God I did everything he opens his mouth and ladies if I haven't I am going you give someone a volley of abuse that is so you know. This is a dangerous person it's like oh yeah I've never had that Tesco you're right you had to outfox face it see you tell you you think that was interesting I think that. We've had today as well from California she want to be a competition yet also being told as well that you want to run a for sheep on your bike Yeah I wanted to sheep on my bike I think I had to dash death way shows on a pushbike cycling through a gravity field and it ran out in front of me and got back to my bike it was a very sad time and I panicked to run back to my friend's house and they thought I was joking until they came out came over the brow of the hill saw the sheep truck to the by so they pulled it free and off it went how would what sheep like this well was trapped in you know so much in the back between the 2 wheels and the path was probably and it ran right towards me so I breaks in because it was gravelly I skidded from underneath me and it collided with the bike so I got just trapped as it was all my sitting on it with we kind of like as if it was just backing for something you know what I don't like not going to start the day and then I know all the other mates who come and charge me they put in I don't they say you know a shave you know I really know all the violent things. Well I love the stories thank you very much and what I'm wanting to hear from today is about one thing about you I love to get to night people and I found line after day in the show a few times I got to NY people a little bit better was that one thing about don't you that we didn't know I weigh 100 triple 14949 take Sheffield you message 813 survey I did tell you a little bit earlier on that I did once released Raechel and we got it while we've been looking for it high and like you can buy it on a particular website for 68 pence I should say yeah which is about 68 p. Message 3 doubles favorite a tweet from Maria he says I almost became the queen mother's personal assistant that's amazing I was the ne ambassador for entrepreneurship and I used to sell soul and goods as a child fantastic. News for self and. I cannot condone anyone's behavior but becoming the person is this of the Queen Mother I feel like I need to know that. Right Sam Elliot was having on the race we have well very little at the moment in terms of problems which is good news if you're out and about right now at the m one is meeting well rather I'm right the way through to with Wakefield there is an issue on the m 60 I'm going to mention it because it's a long queue this one I was saying at least 40 minutes it was next in earlier just before $29.00 so it is a tailback all the way to the a one so that if you're heading up on north on the a well known you hoping to join the m $62.00 would lead you will get stuck at the back of the queue into Sheffield a little bit of a build up there. Heading 3 towards the Parkway from Cat cliff nothing to lengthy It seems to be moving by no means stationary and public transport wise I think everything's winning while on the trains but please do keep a line out about 14561212 back in 15 minutes. This is b.b.c. Radio Sheffield. B.b.c. Radio Sheffield I just mentioned the tweet Dafa Maria Maria said that she was nearly the Queen Mother's assistant sen a little bit more about that she says I applied for the Queen Mum job I'm a shortlisted for him to be able to kind but let called circa Patrick Smith told me to accept the offer to uni instead I was the 1st person in the family to. Thank you for that do keep them coming I'm loving nice this morning I want to know these little things about you that not many people know they can be big or they can be small we had Dave the time he told us that not many people know he used to be a red coat and he did it 3 years back in the alley nineties I weigh 14949 Sheffield you message 813 double 3 now we've been talking about children today who have mental health issues he struggled to go to school early and we heard from Debbie Bendel and her 14 year old son Carly who struggles with anxiety I think I've always had it because one hour in school when I were young I always was tough when my mom You surprise me from school I always used to once my mom got a gun in school for going to get all of the. Speech problems. Which. I didn't actually speak properly till he was about 7 years old so going to school and being in not environment was difficult enough for Carcassi couldn't communicate so then he learnt to mask it and avoid it and I said then we've got issues from being very low or going to school he'd quite often run out of school I rarely. As a parent you know use the. That's frightening. And even in your 7 year right we had that a few times where I tried to get in school and then you'd run off but he wouldn't run off and go missing in order to get into any Misty for do anything he died. But again as well that had an impact on myself and my job well of course he would only child care too well to put on service to older brothers this is and I will mention it is a separation anxiety that kind of thing and I looked at him and I didn't initially look into that but I now he's 14 you don't recognize that and it was more the social situation so I would feel. When you when something happens to him a trigger would perceive it be a threat to cry so then it's like oh my god I'm on the spot I've got to put my hand up I can't put my hands up so then you get really aren't sure isn't it result in real high avoidance and things like that so the only way that car I could alleviate that anxiety would just not do it go and not only in school not just all around school going out for a family meal I was going to just about to ask that you know is it just school related is it just that sort of you know situational can you go after school clubs can the get involved in anything else who is that he she was well you know only after school club or really get involved in is football because I felt safe playing football. And even I was football you know I suppose in some respects people say were you in a situation in it was going to kick you the ball and if you may see it then you know do you not feel anxious about how do you feel anxious about a fellow my friends would forgive me for I never play around people who I don't know feel like just have a go at me also. My friends want to play football. So that is kind that he was talking to us a little bit earlier the mental health charity Mind is calling on the government to carry out an urgent into school refusal and just don't cheating children as truants if they struggle with some of the conditions school refusal is when serious anxiety stops a child from going to school on a regular basis it's not known how many children are affected by the anxiety but the anxiety depression Society of America says anxiety based school refusal of facts 2 to 5 percent of school age children Well Vicki nationally mental health charity Mind is on the line right now good morning Vicki good morning so what is it you want in the government today where exactly Well we're very concerned that children and young people with mental health problems are in those absences recorded as an authorised we're now able to score and that's why we're calling for the government and the system as a whole because it really need everyone to work together to really have an urgent reform to make sure that their education system is working for young people with mental health problems and it's focusing on providing them with the right support or the right time I mean we are hearing from Debbie that. This could be very difficult I'm sort of anxiety I suppose cause quite look in the fact that he is very strong. As face this had done because it's not just about the children is that the worry is not absolutely I mean obviously it's the children are primarily seen in this way and feel in their own able to be in school feeling overwhelmed when they're in school or not feeling safe and that's that's really flight instruction for that child or that young person it's incredibly frightening for the parent who can see what's going on has very little control in being able to to help what to do to change the circumstances to make their child feel safe and secure and looked after and cared for and support. It is that monopoly of one really for you children isn't it when absolutely and when that's taken away from you and then your sort of I suppose in in the respect of a parent you also made to feel worthless in the respect of why can't I get my child to school if that's what's being pushed on you exactly and that's what's really important the schools properly identify not understand any any needs around July and for weekends and include in unrecognized mental health needs and then making sure that the people get the right support because it could be a number of things a course in that you know that child's not being able to go to school to see why the well and back to Danica chief they might have low self-esteem they might be experiencing bullying we know about the levels of bullying and discrimination is taking place within our school system so any of those life changes can have a really big impact on a young person and their ability to attend school and what kind of impact does marking a child's absent as Truman have well I think it can be devastating to the base that the person and obviously for the for the parents as well because essentially that's they're being told that they're a true and that they were naughty child 1st and essentially not going to school and that's so far removed from where from where the reality is it's a struggle in Austin with with a mental health problem or with with something going on and having a major impact in their life and it feels like the system is just shutting the door on them doesn't want to not only want to look at the fact that there is you know coming to the door not really trying to understand what's going on in that young person's life or that child's life that that's causing this behavior discord in this change the shift in behavior definitely I mean like you know my daughter is and she's any fire at 26 already and you know anything you just want to wrap them in cotton wool and if I was fairly she did something like that with me I'd just be like no you staying with me yeah what anybody else says Well if you were faced with this what Vice would you give to a power. Well I think the most important thing is that is that you have really good communication you're talking with your your child or you know about what's going on why do they feel that way what's what support can a perfect time provide it and then to try to work closely with the school to check to make sure that the port is in place you know the vast majority of parents are trying to do the very best for their children in incredibly difficult circumstances when you're looking at people that are 8 unable to attend school or you know this just Kone an approach of you know prosecuting parents and threatening them with fines is so far removed from somewhere where the solution is going going to be it just adds to the kind of anxiety and stress than the the pressure of the you know that the it's not going to get resolved that way it just adds more pressure on to that kind of funny situation and then and a breakdown in the relationship between the parents and the schools when actually what we need for them to be working together to help support the young person to get back in school and be able to you know Flemish and thrive fulfill their potential so do you think the schools sort of need a reeducation as well in that respect yeah I mean there's all the PSNI schools are under an immense amount of pressure but it but there is a role for schools to properly identify and understand what's going on around poor attendance and so they do know that they need to by and large really better understand mental health both in terms of how that how that might look manifest for people that attend in school but also to make sure they're looking after their own stuff and and and teachers within the school setting so mental health has to pay you know one of the top priorities for schools to to make sure that you've got a very nurturing supportive and safe environment and they can't do that alone they obviously need additional resources to be able to do that so that's where government comes in but also 'd it's about making sure that the health system and our n.h.s. Services are being able to kind of step in when when it's. Someone. Needing some mental health support. And we know that they're under real pressure at the moment so you kind of you know the perfect storm of the situation right now but everyone really needs to be pulling together and making this one of the top priorities absolutely talking is the cave Ikey national mental health charity Mind thank you so much for joining us this morning thank. Goodness saying. Not to the next in the last 5 years. Morning. When life. Sometimes only great to. See music to. On purpose just to look at one of them think it was just a lucky accident but you know unusual pet competitions at time if you remember them being unusual pet competitions that mind my school you definitely know when it with a duck Well I'd thought sight read my maybe a few people had to duck and then the laying on. Golden Egg and later. 10214949 Sheffield you message 813 doubles they were looking for those little things in life there's little snippets of your life that you just don't think people know about you will you've kept 6 I think a lot some people think oh you brag and I mean I mean you've been very open about your you know your bed competition and the fact that you wouldn't wish to be it will happen to the baby I want to know this is not true Detroit says of the war I kept it for a while and then it started to go off because it was fresh flowers say it was not a bit funny I also got another one theory I've been to a world premiere of a film house yeah. Broadcasting to South Yorkshire and north and television. This is b.b.c. Radio Sheffield. Yes it is b.b.c. Radio Sheffield it's 25 to 9 it's Becky in for type b. Today is Thursday the 19th September karate. Now as was promised to Simon fake his being a berry busy bee. I want makes me feel into the tank says that noise if I'm really honest here it stops bridge Julie a school and she was signed on what do you do a. Good morning back yes what you didn't know about me is that in my spare time I like to put on a beekeeping suit I've got me a pair be a big big suit and enormous white dissolute leather gloves Marigold sort of right up to the elbow and I'm speaking through the veil of the beekeeping see how it's all very odd and it's absolutely fantastic and I've actually got some buzzing around so I didn't think I'd be poking my microphone into a beehive this morning but that's what I'm going to do is slightly risky it certainly sounds that I tell you so this is all when you hear the buzzing sound of bees I can hear it I can I can really I'm just hoping is staying safe. I've got bees swarming all around me but I think I'm protected with the suit now this is the brainchild of the husband and wife Charity team David and James Richards who have the Family Foundation here in Sheffield Although David now lives in California should say why are you introducing these in beehives of primary schools here in Sheffield so the foundation has a strategy around education and we have 2 main programs one is research in computer science into secondary schools high schools in the u.k. And the 2nd is ecology and I would be so obvious choice was to try and put our goal is to be hive into every feasible school in the United Kingdom I asked all sorts of stupid questions like What sort of bees are these are you tell me they're Italian we've got to tell you the same Stockbridge they are they the provenance of most b. Honey bees in the United Kingdom is Italian. These are a strain of Italians Ok let's speak to some of the excited pupils and the head teacher here at the school the Samis head teacher you've got your outfit on is what I'm calling and I'm fit to be keeping So let's get this right now because you've got your veil on I have to thrust this my clothes to you how excited are you how great is this for the school we are absolutely thrilled we were approached by the foundation towards the end of the summer and straight I thought wow what an exciting opportunity didn't quite realize what it involved in terms of the lineage but what I have realized is the learning from this is going to and less really fortunate the staff of the embrace there is amazing now we've got the bees on school they came the 1st week of the 6 weeks holidays and we really really feel like sighted about. The prospects that it's going to open up in terms of the children and the linen and what's to come really because back in the day I had a pet hamster Well the school had a hamster and we all had it for a summer for a week and everyone worried about whether they were going to keep the hamster life things have changed schools have to adapt to be flexible and and sell themselves a new way this is all part of that as well isn't it absolutely I mean we have over the summer so we did have a record we been really fortunate we were. Teamed up with a lady called Yvonne killed 10 and there's a school out there in Huddersfield which is phenomenal they have a wonderful a prey we were looking if we did all the training and then what we did is the staff we had to retrain for the semester we are absolutely thrilled about where this is going to go next and the children kind of getting close to the babies the hands on potential into living so much about you know bees in the curriculum etc Well let's speak to Mr Wright so you're the man and his task of being to be lead I'm calling you to be lead here let's get a bit close you gave me some advice not to go right round the front but to come up the side to come this way let's do it down well here's some wonderful buzzing sound so explain what you've learned so far is the the lead here what we've delivered a new course of bees a few weeks ago and if you look here this is the the brood box where the queen bee lives on giving the brood ball group books where the children before some are making frames for the brood books so the bees have come in that extracted the the wax and the populate in this box which is called the super box and that's where they're going to store and make their honey for which should be ready for a certain extent next summer and you were saying this I mean it's not about money making scheme but a couple of schools have made a small fortune up selling their honey the late the next summer yet to produce but that are meant to last week said he made 620 pounds from one of his hives so that went straight back into the school he was. For their school friends so wonderful stone Ellie come closer for me so I was trying to tell you know saying you need to be primed early don't down for me because if these bees don't buzz you need to do the buzzing for me but I think let's have a listen. You know we've still got some buzzing so you're in year 4 How excited are you about not having a hamster as a school but you've got bees it's really x.x. So we were practicing all be facts tell me what you've learned give me your the fact number one please said the Queen Bee has a green dot and the big. Piece of bees just from very close to my face and my safe with this veil is that a bit unnerving the close I can see it's it's not going to get it is it now Ok I'm safe give you the Fact number 20 gosh they're on the clipboard say the fact. And they protect and the queen and they make sure the queen bee say well listen thank you so much wonderful stuff thank you this is amazing I think you know this is what you've learned about me I'm going to say goodbye to the babies I can't really I can't see the Green Dot if you spotted the green dotted queen get this morning I'll run him. Ok I'm going to keep an eye out for the queen I'm going to come back next summer and get as much honey as possible what a fantastic think oboes often now Becky thank you so much I love that is buzzing off there Simon Stockbridge junior school busying a b round ever left right and center that's right we are talking today about things about you that we wouldn't. This is b.b.c. Radio Sheffield. This is b.b.c. Radio Sheffield. It certainly has. Its back images in for tell you the faster today please do keep those little facts about Excel from in place are 14949 Chevy or g message 803 to the story sure get plenty more of those of Cal born in just a moment some of the scenes I make in the newspapers today they will you know when I'm on a light keep things a little bit light hearted. Would like to have as little breaks it took as we possibly can because I don't think I really understand anything that's going off even though I try to understand it but does anyone understand what's going off I'm not trying to show some of the people involved I'm quite my own what's going to happen next what I do know about and I think that is kind of sportingly by the pair of you today is cardigans Now I know you're probably going to say that's more of a zip up party what don't know what it is not going to talk so I'm going to hold it was it it's a cardigan realistically because this place a cardigan is anything that you throw over the top or something else is it not I think so yeah well cardigans. Very trendy at the moment because they all the thing start to get into the dickens a prominently according to the laces the sticks they are making the biggest revival and because of. The costing you a lot more money depends what you buy doesn't it well this is what they're saying because of this revival of the same cardigans and now costing more money than they would ever have cost before partly this a trend called Cost is not reliable but I then I was it about a neat little chic little cardigans that want to discuss with the belts like quite a thick kind of kind of a not too long the one time where I would have addresses. Whether that in any material haunt they really sticky but no these are like you could think cardigan in the winter that a bit of a chunky Nate tonight and a cardigan. Like it always when we have these kind of conversations it's about looking as. Totally I've got nothing to sit here quietly No I know I'm not going to say she's a fairy so you can go a bit but cardigans I mean do you as a man you know the Cardigans I've seen them I've seen them a lot in the shop beginning with pay that I'm a regular visitor of man have chunking at Cardigan's with me when I go and I'm grandad she's no no no. You thing no just wrong and anyone who weighs one if anyone knows more you know I think that brilliant I got something about a man in a bit of a chunky knit cardigan if I'm really honest. Are you Ok with the eye color nose ring of the nappy I don't have pink hair tomorrow know that now I'm not really I can fancy Val Doonican. How did she know you all have been the one that's the one little fact about me that you know I was unable to remember Howard and Hilda for ever decreasing circle know a lot old friend always people know what I'm talking I'm connecting with people and I say that's how we're going to hold it now no no there do you remember frazzles Yeah yeah because it's still the thing on the bacon fries Yeah bacon fossils this is again something that's making the papers today because someone has got a 4 and a half inches Oh yes and this is actually made the papers a builder was left dazzled by his Franzl when he found one that was 4 and a half inches which could be the world record all but. The next one at the moment well I mean we that big that's a big Franzl isn't it that's about the size of a of a frazzle packet so that looks like when they make friends or as they make them in one long strip and then chop them chop them down that one's not been chopped Yeah it is quite simple this is a real fragile or is a supermarket own brand bacon flavored. And with funny names like big docile. Bacon Well Don Sterling was not what it was brought on him and he says present it to the fore which hasn't bought from Iceland know what is proper fossils that they all proper fossils Yeah so if you've ever had a bigger faster than the 4 and a half inches you could be in look for when in the wild cracked. My mouth watering just thinking about them but. I can from you when I say repeats on you for a number of days he's always find them in the teeth. Goodness saying. Not to the next in the last 5 years. And I remember every word from it and we did talk about sort of did like a guest appearance on that one and this is like 10 years ago I so lived a life of debauchery Since then my voice is telling me just to the bass yeah just dance with me to the bass but. You didn't need soon I think we can get together. And it was in sort of places from around North Darbyshire it was very interesting. Leave that one find that well yeah well no I wouldn't bother I mean some of the other things as well there's one other thing that I don't think you know about me but you might have done I once done sed with James Jordan from a strictly come dancing. Because I was nominated for a b.b.c. Show. 2 footed from my charity work that I did I was nominated as John Berryman sure I'm right and it was making people's dreams come true and I always said I would love to have been a Dunstone on straight laced guy and John Barrowman actually came surprise to me it was whisked away to London fer 4 days I then had to learn a waltz with James Jordan who is of course there has been a volatile and he's been on slip to Big Brother and all that kind of stuff I had to learn a waltz with him and then perform in front of a live studio audience. And I got to try to land. Really and I did I did something really nice James was lovely Yeah he was it was proper not on him at all as well but the one person that stuck in my mind was jump argument because he is actions and he is is exactly how we as you see him on the telly is how he is in real life my ex-boyfriend at the time he had a real thing for him a real thing for him in fact he even told me. He had a real. Hard to think you know around. And it just I went to see him live at the shadow. Of the fact he's an ex that's what happens and i please don't repeat that because I can't get them to slim down.
