to sweep in through the south—west, across wales later, just some drizzly rain for northern ireland. the best of the sunshine will be in the far north here after a frosty start with some fog patches here too. but it's here where we keep that cold air across the day, while for most, because we've still got the legacy of atlantic air, it's a bit milder. but that cold air looks like it may be on the move. as we head to friday night, christmas eve into christmas day, it may push southwards. the likes of the pennines, possibly the hills of north wales, may see a smattering of sleet or snow. some good spells of sunshine across the north and perhaps northern england, and perhaps northern england, and some wetter — some more rain to come in. we'll have that contrast, perhaps a crisp start in northern and eastern
