Calling the shots in this market. This week led to a close with the dow dipping 26 points, s p back sliding. 05 . While the stock s of the Fastes Growing Companies maintain their domination. But on a casebycase basis, theres still plenty to clear about with individual stocks, and if you relate it to social, mobile, cloud, Artificial Intelligence continues to get a boost. But anything related to physical bricks and mortar merchandising remains down. But nordstrom taking the market down again today, and even the a slowdown in its e commerce business. Throw in the fact that deutsch bank slapped an out right sell rating on General Electric and this whole thing has made us think that the market has qualms about selling by the enterprise and by the individual. I expect the same battle to play out again in next weeks earnings score card and you know what its going to start with . A Company Called trevago. Last week we sat down with the travel behemoth, its forecast, its forecast was regarded as downright downbeat and the stocks shot a quick 100 points. So we got to figure out which is right, expedia or price line, why dont question let trivago. Tuesday marks the beginning of next weeks reports. Out starts with the despot, home depot. Now in the midst of all the findings about bricks and Mortar Stores, home depot has been subsequently putting up tremendous numbers. I think home depot is going to be able to tell a pretty darn good story when it reports. You know i always encourage people to buy this stock, but not all at once, but home depot up here has become quite volatile. Why not pick up some monday and then after they report. I like Stanley Black and decker and they have made a series of incredibly positive acquisitions as of late. I think their tuesday analysts meeting is going to be positive. Especially if home depot parts the morning talking about how much theyre selling. This is one of the few retailers out there thats still building new stores, and theres tremendous demand or all priced goods. Others are closing storings and they have had particularly good numbers. If you own tgx in my travel trust, people know its one of my favorites. Ive been waiting for the huge breakouts that tgx will give us, out of all these bricks and Mortar Stores who are being sold. Theyll be selling stuff for even cheaper than you can get on amaz amazon. Its going to have a strong second half of the year, i think you need to get ahead of it tjx. A lot of people think its only a matter of time before target turns around. They feel emboldened because the stocks pay a 3. 4 yield. All of that didnt do too much good for the people who own kohls or macys. Im not going to sanction to buy them. Wednesday, we hear from sysco, theres been a lot of bailing of stock as of late. Some good ones have indeed being disappointing, then cyberark. My travel trust has own sysco for age achbnd were going to r it out. Switching gears, the president loves to tweet as we know. And one of his targets has been rexnor. It has recently moved jobs to mexico. Some Companies Want to take on amazon directly. You may think theyre foolish, most fail. But one with a Balance Sheet that reports without fail. Walmart will lay out the case, and i think could be compelling for why its bricks and Mortar Stores actually do help its boy i think its too early to tell, of course, but the stock after languishing for ages has become a big winner, up almost 10 for the year. Walmart in the end is bargain store, and dollar tree and costco and walmart. I am only recommending one chinese stock on this show and that stock is alibaba. I sat down with them, with management at cnbcs alpha conference and became convinced they have a very good handle on the competition. After the close thursday, we hear from two companies with red hot stocks and im talking about Applied Materials and salesforce. Applied materials makes materials used in semiconductors. I think the better way to put it is why shouldnt the semiconductor rally continue given all these devices that are coming out. As for sales force, it just keeps gaining here and i suspect an excellent quarter may be in the offing. Remember the stock does act on good quarters, so dont attempt to trade it. Just own it. I have seen it go up and down on the same bit of news. Friday we get results from deere. They could say things are loose in forrestry, or that they had no option but to refresh their position. Now whatever deere says with incredit lags, i believe stocks go higher again, unless they say theyre shutting the company down. Next theres foot locker, one of only two stores that has bucked negativity. I think that foot locker continues to work, why . Heres some insight, on the kohls conference call, management pointed out that both underarmor and nike were selling. That bodes well for foot locker, they sell all three. One of the rumored names is campbells soup, i dont expect the street to be broken with the coming reports, but i also think they wouldnt cotton to a kraft heinz takeover bid. But it may be a foolser rand. This honey well analyst meeting, remember, recently third point the hedge fund took aim at ho y honeywehone honeywell. I think that when earnings are finished, maybe wall street will start focussing on washington again. Right now the only thing they can focus on is the numbers, and when we talk about wtwitter, it they get take on the the woodshed or even go straight into the chipper shredder. Caller jim, looking at lockheedmartin, you couldnt ask for more. We still got isis and the crazy guy with crazy hair, should i keep or sell . You hold on to lockheedmart lockheedmartin, i like the situation. We need to go to elliott. Caller hi, jim, i was wondering if proctor and gamble is a good buy or hold stock . I would have normally said yes, but after silting down with paul pullman yesterday from unilever, i cant. I have to say that you know any lever you need, not proctor. Lets go to joe in washington. Joe . Caller booyah from seattle, cramer. Whats going on . Caller thanks for taking my call and thanks for all the great advise you give us home gamers. I currently hold a position in credit suisse, do you reck mechmend that i take the cash or the stock. I like credit suisse, i even like deutsch bank. But its all about the numbers. For now, at least, until washington is focused and is the focus again. On mad money tonight, after a tough go of it in 2016, pablo software has run up more than 40 this year, can they continue to paint a pretty picture in then the fabulous mark cuban just said facebook, amazon, netflix and google, a group that makes up more than 2 trillion of market cap adds value. Im investigating. And electricity and water generally arent considered a good combination. I sit down with the ceo of the industrial plan pentair to see what could happen. Welcome to holiday inn whether for big meetings or little getaways, there are always smiles ahead at holiday inn. A used ca for years, centurylink has been promising fast internet to small businesses. But for many businesses, its out of reach. Why promise something you cant deliver . Comcast business is different. We deliver superfast internet with speeds of 250 megabits per second across our entire network, to more companies, in more locations, than centurylink. We do business where you do business. When a red hot growth stock loses its mojo, it can take years before it hits its bottom and starts climbing again. It looks Like Tableau Software may have actually turned things around. Tableau became public in 2013, and for a couple of hours the stock hit a new high. But then this company ran go what i believe is the bain of profitable, increasing competition. Tableau stock got annihilated, after the Company Reported a huge short fall. Fast forward and tableau has been working its way higher again, and that includes a nearly 45 run just since the beginning of 2013. The company has a new ceo, that comes from amazons red hot web services unit. Im very interested in finding out if this come back is for real. So lets dig deeper, with tableaus ceo, with more on how its companys doing. Welcome to mad money. Thanks, jim, its crate to be with you, thanks for having me. This is a great opportunity, sir, because i was shattered when the big decline occurred and over and over again i kept saying, these guys are saying is business has gotten much tougher, has business gotten easier, has rain shower product gotten easier or is it just your execution . Theres a huge need for Analytics Platforms in the market. Theres more and more data being created every month and every year. And tableau has built the best platform in the world and customers are adopting it. Thats the biggest factor behind our optimism. What i want to talk is talk what you do with the Baseball Team the ranger es and what are they using you for . The rangers had a whole bunch of disjointed da eed data, not able to share it with anybody else. With tableau, everybody can pull from the same data sources, can share their data, they have full tracking of whos at the ballpark what, theyre buying at the booiallpark, whos happenin with operations, how many ticket booth staff they immediate and how long it is before opening pitch. So its a really great story with the rangers. So when theres a rain delay, theyre seeing what people are doing with a rain delay, and what goes on, that type of thing . Exactly. What were really about is helping people see and understand data and then eventually taking action based on that. They are actually able to release ticket cashiers and safe operating costs when they havere nhave theyre not going to be foreman hired, you thats a stable but solid company. Brown foreman is actually one of our most recent big enterprise wide licensing deals, they have quickly ramped up to using more than 1,000 people within brown foreman and theyre really using us across the country, from optimizing their plant, to making price decisions to using tableau to analyze sales and Marketing Campaigns and in addition to their cio is a big reason theyre yooirzing tableau, offering companies to pair as they go, in short increments of time. Our viewers are familiar with adobe and sales force, when a lot soft times people are confused. We were like we loved adobe when they switched. A dollar up front is not going to be a dollar, it will be like. 42 cents, we have to look at what, billings . Whats the best way to view your products . I thinkbiggest thing were shooting for right now is to pivot our customers. It enables them to pay in shorter krin increments of tile. And to make their deployments go up and down over time as their businesses warrant. So were really trying to push the subscription, in the latest quarter, were up to 26 of our new license bookings, for subscription, and thats going to be a really critical method going forward. Amazon, we revere it. How is the transition going . Its been a lot of fun, im just so excited and pumped up to be working with this great tableau team. I love that mission, i have always wanted to work with places that are trying to change their part of the world, wherever it is. And we really believe we can make the world a better understood place through data and were out to understand exactly what customers need and deliver that value and we have birth t built the best platform for analyt analytics. Thats tableaus ceo, great to see you, thank you, sir. Thank you. If tableaus back, they are a Great Company and they have a great ceo. Stay with cramer. When this bell rings. It starts a chain reaction. Thats heard throughout the connected business world. At t Network Security helps protect business, from the largest Financial Markets to the smallest transactions, by sensing cyberattacks in near real time and automatically deploying countermeasures. Keeping the world of business connected and protected. Thats the power of and. What are you doing . Getting your quarter back. Fountains dont earn interest, david. You know i work at ally. I was being romantic. You know what i find romantic . A robust annual percentage yield thats what i find romantic. This is literally throwing your money away. I think its over there. That way . Yeah, a little further up. What year was that quarter . What year is that one . 98 thats the one. You got it nothing stops us from doing right by our customers. Ally. Do it right. Lets get out of that water. When legendary investor mark cuban says something i listen, especially if he says something bullish, hes usually an informed skeptic, so i was blown away when cuban came on mad money, and he said it bothered him when amazon, facebook and apple now has 2 trillion in capitalization. They were all undervalued. Holy cow. What was cubans reasoning . Its simple, its all about what these companies can do with Machine Learning and art firm intelligence. Mark cuban comes and i quote, i need to retrain my brain because i want to see the business operation. Cuban sees how powerful these tools are, and unfortunately with fewer people. His larger position . Amazon, as he said yes yesterday its the ultimate ai company, its the ultimate start up. They use it better than anybody, when amazon talks about opening up grocery stores, its not because they want to sell groceries in stores. Its like bookstores, they want to know what you need before you need it so they can deliver it to your door in anticipation. At one point, nordstrom was the finest hmerchant in the lan. If you got it wrong, they had a legendary return policy. But last night you found out that nordstrom doesnt know nearly as much about you as they thought they knew. Theyre still trying to leverage their brick and mortar flagship stores, but they may only be going the way of the dodo. Yes, they did make the point that their nordstrom name sake stores are its not like millennials are going to change their shopping patterns, but there will simply be more young people who search their apple or smart phones. At one point during the call, i actually felt bad for the nordstrom brothers where they saw patterns that a rack store tended to lead to a migration to a full priced store. They can probably predict exactly what age, what gender, who can go through what stores, how much time they spend. Their advantage is so enormous its almost unfair. I have always felt that nordstrom has been fighting its cross town in seattle, now i think its both arms. As for the others. Im totally on board with fa cuban by facebook and theers. Instagram now looks to be the reason why snap failed to produce the robust revenue. Alphabet, the parents of google has more Artificial Intelligence going for it than any other company than amazon. Its cheap on the numbers and while cuban apple you want to own it not trade it. All in all, youre competing against a company that has deep Machine Learning and you do not have Artificial Intelligence going for you . The forecast will be in the vernacular of mr. D. Pain. Caller my question is on twlo, is it a buy, wait or what . We talked to mr. Lawson last week, he bought 10,000 shares, i know you say thats not much of a excommitment. I do feel that the store is losing a lot of that uber traffic that it had. And it has a decent buy. And you like to see everything go right. But thats not always what happens in a bull market. Caller hey, jim, thanks for the show. Hey, jim, what do you think about applied materialed . Its going to be a great seasoning for Applied Materials. I say amat is good. Theres nothing artificial about fanning. Why would you bet against them . Now much more mad money ahead, breaking up might be hard, but pentair might be easy. What would you expect from that 12. 5 billion investment player. Im sitting down with the ceo of a company you may not know called masimo. And of course all your calls in tonights edition of the lightning round and a look back at the week that was, so stick with cramer. Who wants a donut . It use to be everyone had to be in the office. We lacked the technology to be flexible and productive. Then cdw orchestrated a collaboration solution for us. Using the lenovo x1 carbon. Powered by intel core processor technology. Now we can access our network and Work Together from anywhere. Hey hey everybody. You coming back for the Team Building . Mobility by lenovo. No . It orchestration by cdw. We like a good breakup story here on mad money, only because im a hopeless cynic. When an overcompensated company splits up, it creates value for the shareholders. We heard that pentair told us its breaking itself up into two separate companies, pentair is going to keep all of its Water Quality and fluid handing products, which will get the companys legacy and closure fasting systems and Heat Management technologies to help Companies Control their energy costs and protect them. This separation is expected to happen sometime in 2017. And look, this is just the latest in penalty air its it was telling its controls for 3. 3. 15 billion. Lets see a closer look with randy hogan. Hes the ceo of pentair. These two companies i think will be how do they come about . I expect it it really well earlier. We at pentair have done a number of transitions, you will recall five years ago, it actually became now a British Company and now we have an advantage structure, we ahead great positions and were complex. And when the oil and gas problems happened and the downturn in the markets, that really hit our balance and controls business hard and we focused on restructuring that and we looked at a number of things to i remember prove the business, and decided, you know what . That business would be better in other hands. The challenges with oil and gas really left our water business and electrical businesses which are really fine businesses, and that was the nature of the impact of the oil and gas downturn. We looked at whats our strategy going forward, and what do we do with these two businesses. Our water businesses among the leaders and it is one of the most profitable businesses in water, and while our electrical business isnt a Large Business by competitive standards and it is the pose profitable businesses. I want to talk about the water business, because this is going to be fascinating to our viewers. This is a company that a lot of people are always looking for a company, sir, that reduces the use of water, that recovers water, that reuses water and suddenly youre creating that exact company, right . Right, we have created it over the last 20 year, in fact youll recall that in 2004, question doubled our Water Quality business. Our other focus is on food and Beverage Industry because water is the stock of food. Our emphasis really is on Water Quality and water sustainability. We want to help reduce their use of water and the water they use is the best quality as possible. Youre not an activist, but someone who sits down and likes to help. Were they instrumental in some of these ideas that bring out values because i think its an excellent idea. Ed garden has been involved with our board for a couple of years now and they have been participants in all of the different options we looked at. This wasnt the only option we looked at it it also left our businesses to create a better business. So, yeah, they have been a part of each one of these steps and the whole board was unanimous that this was the right thing to do and this was the right time to do it. You did get some value from emerson, what kind of optional i can i give you. We were actually pretty levered, because of the pressure on values and controls, our leverage was high, we promised the agencies, that we would pay down our debt. We started a tender to take our debt down. Were going to be launching both of these companies with extraordinarily strong ball lans sheets. And theyre acquisitions and maybe even larger numbers and they intend to build these businesses, and importantly, not only will they be able to focus on our businesses individuals, they will bean to employ their own capital and not playing second fiddle to others. Its been such a great performer. The chairman and ceo of pentair. Its a winner and it will be more of a winner, because people will want this water play. Its the ultimate in what the millennials will want in the stock. Im dr. Kelsey mcneely and some day you might be calling me an energy farmer. Energy lives here. Apparently, i kept her up all night. She said the future freaks her out. How come no one likes me, jim . Intel does just think of everything intels doing right now with Artificial Intelligence. And pretty soon ai is going to help executives like her see trends to stay ahead of her competition. No more sleepless nights. Were going to be friends im sorry about this. Dont be embarrassed of me, jim. Im getting excited about this we know the future. Were going to be friends because were building it. It is time for the lightning round. [ buzzer ] and the lightning round is over. Starting with ted in new hampshire. Caller you got a standing invitation of the investor of the city and you can come through and ill show you what the city is all about. Im calling about sdm. Sdm is a very good story. Its one of many semiconductor stocks. I want you to hold on it to. Lets go to connor is nebraska. Caller what are your thoughts on del taco restaurants. I like del taco, but i like chipotle more if youre going to go on that theme. Caller im a long time fan of the show, first time caller, ive been looking at bed, bath and beyond, its been in my portfolio for a while. Bbby, about 30 down on it. And just keep riding it down. Any advice . Its got a good Balance Sheet. Whats the reason to exist . Im going to have to say dont buy. And if it bounces a little, i cut some back. Paul in texas, paul. Caller booyah, jim. Booyah. Caller my stock is ssb, simpson manufacturing. Thats a Great Company, maybe people are worried that there isnt enough infrastructure going on in washington. That stock should bhe higher. Dont buy until i do some research. Caller i feel like were old friends. We probably are at this point. Hey, listen, i bought emr about a year ago, and they announced a big increase in their r d budget, and it hasnt done as well as i hoped, although im inclined to hold on to it. Always a brides maid and never a bride. I like ge more. And and i like honeywell much more. Lets go to john in new york. John. Caller hey, jim, thanks for taking my call and happy friday. I want to know about 2ou. I would pull the trigger on that one. Franking in new jersey. Caller i have a question on amgen, i purchased the stock at the end of february when i got when i paid off my college education, i was able to get into the stock market with a couple hundred thousands. Amgen represents 5 of my port fo portfolio. It went unrather quickly. My advisor told me to hold it. Your advise soar is right. Its not taking off like it should. Just hold on to it. Hold on to it. Dont buy anymore. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the conclusion of the lightning round. I mean wish i had time to take care of my portfolio, but. Well, what are you doing tomorrow 10am . Staff meeting. Noon . Eating. 3 45 . Uh, compliance training. 6 30 . Sams baseball practice. 8 30 . Tai chi. Yeah, so sounds relaxing. Alright, 9 53 . I usually make their lunches then, and i have a little vegan so wow, you are busy. Wouldnt it be great if you had investments that worked as hard as you do . Yeah. Introducing essential portfolios. The automated investing solution that lets you focus on your life. Every now and then something in this market really screws up. Especially during earnings season where there so many reports coming in. Lets take amsi, its a medical Device Company that manages patient technology, like measuring the oxygen in your blood, where they have turned a previously slow and inaccurate process into something more precise. The stock is up more than 25 year to date, it sold off hard in the past week and a half. When masimo reports, it was one of those companies that calls these companies, said that masi missed its forecast. In response, the Stock Plunged immediately, nearly 15 , single session, going from 103 to 88. While the mistake has been corrected, were still seeing others in the media claims that the stock is dropping. It was a good quarter, the Company Posted a. 22 cent earnings beat, and its revenue came in higher than expected, 8 year over year. In short, maybe because of this screw up from the Financial Services industry, the stock man obliterated, im wondering if youre not getting a buying opportunity. Lets check in with the founder and chairman of masimo corporation. Welcome to mad money. Thank you, jim. Thanks for having us. Joe, i have to tell you, i went over some of these stories, it did seem like the headlines like that you dpis disappointed and cut your forecast, and that was not the case, right. I guess in this day of fake news, we should have expected Something Like this. But unlike the normal fake news, you had these row bow agencies to get Artificial Intelligence to get this information. But when you get it wrong, you have robo computers buying or selling ona news. So i these this had a terrible vicious cycle. We had that situation happen with shay, the ceo came on and said i didnt do anything different. Masimo beats earnings per share estimates, and not that masimo missed the earnings per share guidelines. I have seen your signature catch phrases, and i have seen it in the commercials, better data equals better performance, both for the individual and for hospitals. Tell us about what professionals at the hospitals are doing with your machines . First of all we began in hospital market, over 100 people are monitoring the technology, and unlike conventional pulse oximeteres, we invented the technology that actually worksthrough the motion that causes the false alarms, so now false alarms have been reduced by over 95 while true alarms have increased. Its helped detect congenital Heart Defects in newborns and has changed the landscape in post surgical wars where patients need to be monitored. And dartmouth showed that they not only saved a 1. 5 million ewing it. I want people to know this study, its 132,000 infants that you have results of, its not just something that anecdotal, correct . Thats credibili eets corre three very large studies done. And at the same time, because of our accurate icaccuracy, they c that your newborn before you take him home has congenital heart defect. And it has a profound imagine on state saves lives and saving money. Its not being sold in the united states. But this is a pneumonia screener, right now have to breathe into that tube, you get maybe, maybe not a lot of false positives, how about with your machine 134. First of all, bill and mel l lorinda gates foundation, took it to country where a million childrens are currently dieing from pneumonia and tested it. So im really happy to tell you that we partnered with the bill a and Melinda Gates foundation. And this should hopefully save hundreds of thousands of wlooli per year. This is the ultimate pulse oximeter. Whos buying it and who should be buying. It superathletes. Elite athletes are buying it. We first got turned on to this idea, and the silver medal winner for cycling, she told us that she used it for training and she knew when to push and ooze she put it take the day off and go to the spa. Its terrific and i hope we have cleared up some of the confusion, because its all systems go from what i can see. Founder and ceo of americamasims doing quite well. Stay with cramer.
