and across the northeast, in some of the larger populated areas, including baltimore, philadelphia, washington, we have a freeze watch. that's valid for sunday night into monday morning. and that means that temperatures there are plummeting quickly. this is the cold front responsible for the cold air. behind it we have snow flying across the great lakes. i'll talk about that in just a moment. you can clearly spot that cold front. quite a difference from jacksonville to atlanta. we're talking nearly 30 degrees. if we compare the temperatures from this time yesterday, we are a whopping 22 degrees colder in birmingham, alabama, than this time yesterday morning. these are the morning lows expected across this area. we're running 15 to 30 degrees below where we should be this time of year. incredible to see. of course, it is edging closer to winter. >> absolutely. i often say that we don't have a long enough fall here in atlanta. it's been a pretty good one. i'll take it. >> not that weather i experienced coming in here. >> yes, it's over now.
