Committee issuing a statement saying these numbers, this 4,000 manufacturing job highlighting that and saying we have lost 300,000 manufacturing jobs under president barack obama. Let me show you other strong information we have had this week on the economy. Its not just this jobless number in a vacuum. The jobless rate 4. 6 , we saw auto sales very strong, gm sales very strong. To buy a car you have to have a lot of confidence in the economy and your job. Auto sales strong. Home prices back above the 2006 peak. That is again, rewind the tape, erasing the entire crisis. You saw gdp this week, we reported that here, 3. 2 for the third quarter. So strong economic signs this week. In fact, it is a tailwind. An economy by most accounts, it is humming here, that is as this president leaves and a new president is coming in. The manufacturing jobs is what you will hear, i think, this incoming president talk about, what you will hear republicans talk about, how to fix the manufacturing weakness. Thats what you will hear from the republicans. Read those two news releases. The Republican NationalCommittee Says the 4,000 manufacturing jobs that disappeared last month come on top of over 300,000 that have been lost under president barack obama. And donald trump will stand up for the american worker. What the white house says, the white house points to a solid 178,000 new jobs in november and the longest streak of total job growth on record. So those are the two ways that they are playing this right now. Both are true. Both are true. But when you look at the overall picture, no question the economy is providing tail winds for donald trump as he heads into office. Many thanks. The Trump Transition Team is back at it today. A live look at the gold elevators inside trump tower, where a slew of advisers and potential candidates for his administration will be parading through all day long. These meetings coming the day after both pence and trump do a victory lap in the Vice President elects home state of indiana, then ohio. In cincinnati, the president elect bringing back that Fiery Campaign style rhetoric, including one unscripted bombshell. We are going to appoint mad dog mattis as our secretary of defense. But were not announcing it until monday so dont tell anybody. Mad dog. The crowd loved it. The formal announcement still days away but already a potential obstacle looms. Phil mattingly live in cincinnati with more. Reporter good morning, carol. Always appreciate when the president elect breaks some news on his own in public. That was nice. No, look, you talk about james mattis, i think its important to note as the trump transition operation really kicks back into high gear after a 24hour respite, why this is an important pick. Thats because hes extremely well thought of on capitol hill. Why does that matter . You mentioned he actually has a hurdle to his nomination. As somebody who retired in 2013, hes actually not eligible to be secretary of defense. You need to be removed from service for at least seven years. Now, thats because of kind of the bedrock principle of civilians run the military both in the president and the secretary of defense. Having spoken to a number of trump transition officials and people on capitol hill, theres not a lot of concern that he wont be able to get the necessary waiver to get past that but just something to keep an eye on. You want to keep an eye on the transition in total. As you noted, a number of different meetings today but one in particular you should keep a close eye on. North dakota senator heidi heitkamp, a democrat who is up for potential jobs in the Trump Administration and a democrat who is up for reelection in a very red state in 2018. Senate Democrats Wary of their position in the senate already, very wary of the possibility of senator heitkamp going into the administration. Manu raju, our hill reporter, caught up with her. Take a listen to the exchange. President elect called me and asked for a meeting. When the president elect calls, you agree to meet. I have no Additional Information other than what you have. Reporter are you open to working i think its really important to just have the conversation. Reporter the always important nonanswer there, if you will. I do think its important, you look at the political ramifications of it in 2018, if senator heitkamp is not running in the state of north dakota it will be very hard pressed for democrats to hold on to that seat so theres the political and policy implications. Also want to talk about what happened here last night. As you noted, a rally, a return if you will to the Campaign Donald trump, not just the president elect donald trump. When you watched what happened last night, you watched some of the messages, some of the airing of grievances, you kind of recognize the reality that president elect donald trump not necessarily all that different from candidate donald trump. Take a listen. Although we did have a lot of fun fighting hillary, didnt we . Right . [ crowd chanting ] we won in a landslide. That was a landslide. And we didnt have the press. The press was brutal. That person is doing the map and that person was saying for months that theres no way that donald trump can break the blue wall, right . We didnt break it. We shattered that sucker. We shattered it. Reporter carol, this was billed as a thank you tour, the first event of the thank you tour. It was a little more of a victory tour and an i told you so tour and im going to rub this in your face tour, if you will. I think its important to note the president elect had no shortage of doubters or naysayers. It wasnt just in the media or amongst democrats or Clinton Campaign officials. It was republicans as well. When he was talking to the various supporters that sent him to a stunning eight point victory in this state, he wanted to recognize what they had accomplished but also call on them. It will be very necessary for him to keep that coalition, a very kind of nonidealogical in a traditional republican sense coalition, if he wants to secure any victories Going Forward. So keep an eye on that but also keep an eye on this thank you tour. It will probably happen quite a few more times before inauguration day. Lot of energy in the room last night. We will keep both eyes open. Phil mattingly live from cincinnati. Speaking of that blue wall, we have a little bit of news just in. As you well know, jill steins green party has collected millions of dollars in donations to force a recount in wisconsin, michigan and pennsylvania. The recount under way in wisconsin but it may not get under way any time soon in the state of michigan because of this. The Michigan Attorney general says hes suing to block the michigan election recount. He tweeted quote, today im filing suit to stop dr. Jill steins frivolous, expensive recount request. In fact, Election Officials in the state of michigan said it would cost the taxpayers there more than 1 million if that recount is forced and it may not go on. We will keep you posted. Lets talk about that and more and also about the great economic numbers that Christine Romans told us about this morning. Alex burns is here, cnn political analyst and National Political reporter for new york times. Scott detro, political reporter for npr. Thanks to you for being with me this morning. Lets start with whats happening in michigan, shall we . A surprise . You know, i think for a lot of folks on really both sides of this recount debate it all feels a little bit frivolous at this point. Theres not a lot of optimism among National Democrats that even an intensive recount and audit would shift the result of the election. For republicans i think the intervention here is mostly just a matter of impatience with jill stein and sort of wanting to put an end to the whole process. Okay. So lets move on, because he may or may not stop at the recounts going on, nobody really thinks it will change anything, right, but we keep talking about it so we will just leave it at that. I want to move on to the economic numbers because they were stellar. It brings up two things in my mind at least, its amazing that the democrats could not be successful with economic numbers like that. Its just insane, isnt it . Well, i think the democrats were really running an uphill fight in the fact that its really hard to win a third term in a row. Thats why it doesnt happen that often. George h. W. Bush was the big exception in the last century or so. Certainly the numbers look good but they looked good for the last few months. These are pretty similar to the numbers we saw in september and october and Hillary Clinton made the case the economy had been slowly getting better. The Obama Administration has talked for years about the fact that they inherited a terrible mess and they mostly turned it around, but we in the media are doing so much hand wringing over the nature of the facts in this election. Donald trump hammered on the economy, saying growth wasnt even and saying big parts of the middle chunk of the country, manufacturing jobs had been eroding despite those numbers. Clearly that was a successful message but now it will be Donald Trumps economy and the republicans economy. When they control the house, senate and white house, if things keep going well they will take the credit but if things start to turn, thats all on them. But donald trump is still talking about these huge tax cts, right, for middle class americans and also for the wealthy. Hes talking about getting rid of lots of regulations for corporations. But the economy is roaring. So you have to wonder what that might do to the economy. You do. Part of the real challenge for trump and probably the toughest challenge for trump and frankly any president is that a lot of the places where his message resonated most powerfully are places that they suffered in the recession but have been suffering for 30 or 40 or 50 years because of large scale changes in the american economy, the international economy, the basic nature of work. So when you see these deals like the carrier deal that trump announced this week, these are sort of symbolic bandaids that are very politically useful for trump but they dont necessarily provide a sort of large scale solution to the areas that elected him to fix their problems. Interesting. The other thing, if mr. Trump really does institute these huge tax cuts, right, it will grow the deficit and that will also have consequences for the economy, right, scott . Yeah. This is a pretty consistent trend that you see in both parties as well. When your party is in power, deficits are kind of relative, they are not the big focus. But when you are in the opposition, deficits are a critical, critical problem. I think they certainly are a long Term Economic issue no matter who is in charge. I think you might hear a lot of democrats who have been very loudly worrying about the growth of the deficit or just the large number of the deficit over the last few years, have other concerns maybe if donald trump does go forward with those huge tax cuts that hes talking about. Okay. Lets talk about unity for just a second. Because if the economy continues to boom, maybe donald trump doesnt have to offer an olive branch to anyone because people will naturally gravitate toward him because he is going to get the credit for a good economy. Well, this is generally what we find with incumbent president s, when the economy is doing well or at least well enough, the credit does go to their benefit. We would all be well advised after that election to take with a grain of salt the sense the performance of the economy predicts results at the ballot box because certainly, as you mentioned before, based on the charts showing joblessness over the last eight years, you would have anticipated a fairly comfortable Democratic Victory not just in the president ial race but a number of swing state senate races and that just didnt pan out. Scott, i will ask you the same question. If the economy continues to boom, will the country just naturally unify . Does donald trump really need to do anything . People are always pretty happy when they have a wllpaying job, right . Donald trump is taking a victory lap for this carrier announcement but i think this is something that clearly is very powerful political win in a oneoff situation but would be hard to replicate over and over again. He said yesterday there will be consequences for companies that want to ship jobs overseas. The consequences for carrier, we need to point out, carrier is still moving about 1,000 jobs to mexico. Carrier is getting about 7 million according to most reports in tax breaks from indiana. For them, the consequences were positive. Still, we heard especially from the supporters who went to cincinnati last night for this trump rally, they are thrilled that donald trump stepped in, that he got on the phone, that even symbolically he said i, as the incoming president , care about this one company and am going to do what i can to get them to stay. Will donald trump spend four years phoning every Single Company that threatens to move its business to mexico . Thats pretty hard to do on a large scale. He says he has people that will do that. Thats what he said at his rally last night. Well see. Thank you both for being with me. Still to come, they call him mad dog and warrior monk. Up next, we talk to someone who served side by side with trumps pick for secretary of defense, general james mattis. Meet retired marine corps general james mattis. His nickname mad dog stuck after the battle of fallujah. His call sign, chaos. Heres the general in his own words. You have to earn that respect. You have to earn that every day because when its all over and done with, youre not going to win any fights as a leader. Your troops are going to win those fights. Trying to be a popular person as a leader, thats a road to failure. But affection that you create in a unit, an affection so strong that the troops will stick by one another, they will carry out the mission even in peril, the more you can build that kind of affection in a unit, when the going gets tough, when people are getting shot down around you, it will pull together, it will pull through. One of my next guests describes mattis as a cool, calm deliberate leader. In 2003, the day before the invasion of iraq, mattis wrote a letter to his marines. Heres part of it. Quote, you are part of the worlds most feared and trusted force. Engage your brain before you engage your weapon. It went on to say fight with a happy heart and a strong spirit. With me, cnn military analyst and retired general, mark hertling, who led soldiers in baghdad in 2003 when mattis led marines in anbar province. Im also joined by a 20year combat veteran of the marine corps who served with mattis and was the generals Public Affairs officer for continue vacatithe iraq. Thank you for being here. General hertling, donald trump likened mattis to general George Patton who led troops during world war ii. To get a sense of who patton was, heres actor george c. Scott in the movie patton. All real americans love the sting of battle. Americans love a winner. And will not tolerate a loser. Americans play to win all the time. I wouldnt give a hoot in hell for a man who lost. Were not just going to shoot the bastards. Were going to cut out their living guts and use them to grease the treads of our tanks. Okay. So general patton earned the nickname old blood and guts. So is general mattis like patton . I dont believe he is, carol. General mattis is a much more reflective and personal guy. Truthfully, all general officers, all good leaders sometimes have to go into a little bit of theatrics and that clip from the movie which i think donald trump likes quite a bit is a compilation of pattons speeches to his soldiers during world war ii. But it is also hollywood. Theres a certain requirement for commanders on the battlefield to have that kind of approach to get their soldiers or marines fired up. General mattis has been known to do that. But hes also very much of an intelligence soldier scholar. A reflectionary. He carries around a copy of Marcus Aurelius meditations with him. Hes much more of a leader than general patton was, truthfully. Lieutenant kerncolonel, you theres the toughtalking general mattis and then the general mattis you know and love. Explain the difference for us. The dichotomy is a mile wide. We all knew him by his call sign, chaos. I know general mattis will be a very deliberate, very thoughtful, very caring leader for those he led. The reason the marines loved him, hes a person of character. Second, hes a savant at the art of war. Third, he took care of the marines and soldiers and airmen that he led at all stages of his career. The moniker mad dog doesnt fit with the general mattis i know. The person that served with him always knew him by chaos. You know Michael Flynn is trumps nsa adviser. Are they two very different sort of men and different sort of leaders . Well, they are certainly both patriots. They have a different view of the world. I would suggest general mattis will have a much more mature and informed view of strategy than general flynn. He has an understanding of force and the threats that we face around the world, not just isis but others like the russians and chinese and iran. He understands nato much better than general flynn does. I think general mattis if he is formally chosen as the pick for secretary of defense will give a much more mature and informed view as secretary of defense. But he also has to run a very Large Business called the department of defense. Theres a lot more in that beyond just the soldier and tactics and strategy piece of all this. Colonel, there are plenty of americans out there who are afraid donald trump might take us to war. Do you worry about that . I think all of us that have served and fought in combat are concerned about that. Absolutely. I just want to get more into that, because you know, donald trump says he likes tough talking generals he wants to talk tough to our enemies and sometimes tough talk isnt the way so should we worry, colonel . I would say the reaction im hearing from a lot of my friends who served with general mattis and have known him is that its a complicated reaction because first and foremost we think maybe this is the first cabinet pick that mr. Trump has gotten right. Second, while we share trepidations about mr. Trumps ability to lead, we also share an admiration and respect for general mattis. We just hope hes listened to. Carol, if i could add something to that, too. I think the colonel would agree with me the people who hate war the most are those who have suffered through it. When you have combat experience, you know that the costs are great and general mattis certainly knows that. Hes buried a lot of his marines. Hes seen some of the unbelievably horrible things that can happen in combat. So people who have experienced combat are the ones who are the most likely to push back when those who havent try and get you involved in combat. I think that mature approach will be welcomed in the Trump Administration. We can fill chicagos Soldier Field with the dead and wounded from the last 15 years of war. Sadly, thats true. Thank you both for your insight. Thanks to both of you for your service as well. Still to come in the newsroom, election might be over but a tense battle between top aides from both campaigns last night and i mean tense. We will show it to you next. I just lost my appetite. Why take medicines that only last 4 hours, when just one mucinex lasts 12 hours . Start the relief. Ditch the misery. Lets end this. Good morning. Im carol costello. Thank you for joining me. We have a bit of news just in to cnn. Here it is. Donald trump is tapping ceos from some of the nations top companies. Hes looking to build an Advisory Group dedicated to helping mr. Trump on the economy. Cnns christine alesci broke the story. Thats right. This is really remarkable. Its a crosssection of industries and its leaders who are really bipartisan and what happened here is the president elect called the president the ceo and chairman of blackstone group, an investment firm, and said look, i would like to put a group of people together who can share their experiences with me on the economy, how to grow jobs, taxes, things of that nature, and i would like you to put it together. What we have here is a list of names, a whos who of ceos from mary barra, chairman of general motors, larry fink, chairman of blackrock, bob iger, ceo of walt disney company. What you are looking at is a Powerhouse Group that will be available for the president elect to turn to when he wants opinions and experience about these Different Industries and what we are seeing here is really historic. I dont think i have ever seen anything quite like this before. But im told that the group will meet on a regular basis, about once a month, with the president himself to discuss very big issues and on the top of that l list will be job growth and economic development. Like i said before, this list really represents a Bipartisan Group of people so he will have some very diverse viewpoints to tap into. Carol . All right. Breaking news for us this morning. Thank you. So with that said, emotions are still raw 23 days after the election. That was abundantly clear at a Harvard University event last night. Trumps Campaign ManagerKellyanne Conway and jennifer palmieri, clintons communications director, attended this forum meant to recount history. Instead, it turned ugly. If providing a platform for White Supremacists makes me a brilliant tactician, im glad to have laws. I would rather lose than win the way you guys did. Do you think i ran a campaign where White Supremacists had a platform . You going to look me in the face and tell me that . You did. You did. Do you think i could have just had a decent message for White Working Class voters . I can tell youre angry but wow. Hash tag, hes your president. Hows that . Hash tag, if hes going to be my president , he needs to show me that White Supremacy is not acceptable. A million times, you know ugly, right . With me to talk about this is tara setmeyer, cnn political commentator, Simone Sanders former press secretary for Bernie Hughes and scottie nell hughes, Political Editor at right alerts. Com. Welcome to all of you. Going to be a tough conversation but we will get through it together. Scottie, was this just politics or does it reflect the two americas everybody says we live in now . I ask you that first because you recently tweeted this. Quote, i apologize if i ever said anything mean or caused hatred towards someone with courage to respectfully voice an opposite opinion. Why did you tweet that and what do you think about the top of my question . Well, this Campaign Season has taught me several things and honestly, shameless book plug, i and others write about those in the december 6 release of unprecedented which you can get in your local bookstore. One of the biggest lessons i was able to learn is it takes courage to continuously go into situations and environments where you know the audience, the panelists, the people you are going to be speaking to, do not agree with you, do not like you or what you stand for or the candidate you represent. Exactly what kellyanne did last night going into harvard which is not necessarily known to be the cheerleader of conservatism. My apology was to those who over the last 20 years of me being in this industry, if i was in a room where i was actually a part of the majority and this is in response to an interview i did this week on npr, if i was in the majority, if i caused because of my words or action, caused hate to be directed at that person who had the courage to stand up and voice their opinion, even though i did not agree, we live in a country of diversity and freedom of speech. As long as we continue to demonize those folks, those willing to stand up, then that does us no good in this country. I think thats a lesson we need to learn Going Forward after this election. So tara, what do you think of scotties tweet and her words just now . Good for her. Selfreflection is always a good thing. If only the president elect had similar selfreflection. You know, i think that watching what has happened since the election, obviously during the campaign, we have really seen some of the most divisive language, attitudes, campaign tactics, that we have seen in a long time and it is going to take a lot to heal this country. It starts at the top. It starts with donald trump and it starts with who he surrounds himself with. It starts with his own attitude and how he conducts himself. I appreciate that he last night during his rally, the victory lap tour he did last night, i appreciate there was something written into his speech about rejecting bigotry and division and things like that but what troubles me is that it had to be written into his speech. Why doesnt he have that same level of passion and conviction off the cuff, when it comes to what has gone on and what has been associated with his campaign . Let me show our viewers specifically what you are talking about. Heres donald trump at the rally last night denouncing hate speech. We condemn bigotry and prejudice in all of its forms. We denounce all of the hatred and we forcefully reject the language of exclusion and separation. We are going to come together. We have no choice. We have to, and its better. Its better. You know, simone, what he said on 60 minutes, just stop it, somehow that was more effective than at last nights rally. Well, i have said it before and will say it again. The people that need to hear what donald trump said on 60 minutes arent watching 60 minutes. I believe again, kudos to mr. Trump for saying what was written into his speech last night but i agree with tara, we need more. I wish that he would use those twitter fingers he has used to attack everyone else to put his message out there on Everything Else hes really passionate about and speak directly to stopping the bigotry and hatred and speak directly to denouncing the White Supremacists and saying he does not want to associate himself with these type of things. I also think actions matter and im sorry, steve bannon ran the white nationalist, white supremacist website breitbart that has a section called black crime that has disparaged jews and women, and he is now going to be in the white house. We have put White Supremacy in the white house, thanks to donald trump. That is something that is very jarring for millions of americans across the country. So we need words but we also need actions. Clearly, steve bannon isnt going anywhere. So im just not sure what its going to take to move donald trump. I do want to ask you a question about steve bannon. He was supposed to be at that harvard event. There were students protesting outside. Steve bannon canceled at the raft minute. I dont know why. But would it have been better for steve bannon to be at that harvard event so that he could answer all of these charges coming out against him . He was walking into a hornets nest. Do we realistically think if steve bannon appeared that whatever he said, whatever he was able to the questions he was able to answer would actually help him, would actually help this situation . Of course not. Why go into a room thats already with the deck stacked against you . Kellyanne went in and obviously, even she had to become a little more defensive than i think we have seen her normally be. Why continuously go in and put yourself out . That becomes the story and takes away from what the primary mission is right now which is mr. Trump and all of the good help is trying to accomplish and trying to heal our country. The problem already with that is the fact that you have someone in this position that feels as though they cant walk into a harvard posterectihelec symposium thats been going on for almost 40 years and have this conversation because of his history, because of his own words, because of what hes done with breitbart. That speaks volumes in and of itself. Its hard for the American People to reconcile Donald Trumps scripted discussions of lets come together and rejecting bigotry and all these other things when you have someone as your chief strategist who has a very checkered past in comments hes made, in claiming the altright and breitbart was the altrights platform. He brags about being a nationalist which is very dangerous. Theres a difference between being a patriot and being a nationalist. Being a nationalist creates a very us versus them powerhungry environment. We have seen what nationalist movements have created in history before from germany i will say this. Bannon embodies that and has yet to come out and dissuade people from feeling what they feel. This is real. You cant dismiss, the Trump Campaign and his surrogates have dismissed these very real goingson during the campaign. They cant do that. I want to get this question in to simone. You heard scottie at the beginning of the segment saying if i hurt anyone, i certainly didnt mean it. I think that many of mr. Trumps supporters out there do not consider themselves racist. They are really upset to be called that. A lot of them that dont really understand why they are being called that, they just want some economic help. Let me thats a great question. Let me be really clear. I do not think that every single trump supporter is racist. But we have to be real and understand that the populism around Donald Trumps campaign was intrinsically tied to racism. It was intrinsically tied to making people that were not White Working Class people the other. Make America Great again takes us back, people like me, takes us back to a time when we were in chains, and worked on plantations. Internment camps for the chinese. It is really, really important that if we want to heal, if people want to get past, if Trump Supporters want to say why are you calling me racist, we have to understand that the populism was tied to elements of racism. The last thing i would say is that racism is a racist, i think people think racism is dogs and white hoods and water hoses and the n word and that is not the only form of racism. There are microaggressions. There are oh, i didnt you speak so well. These are microaggressions that are forms of prejudice and discrimination that we have to address. Scottie, last word. Real quick. The fact is more than 200 counties that supported barack obama actually went for donald trump. Thats the reason why mr. Trump won. It wasnt because of racism. It was because people were hurting. The democrats have lost being able to that is the equivalent of saying that i have a black friend. Just because the counties that voted for barack obama doesnt mean they dont have elements of prejudice or discrimination, of racism. Thats at the kwif lent he kwie saying i have a black friend. Im saying there are elements of that that were very vocal and powered and given a platform we have not seen in a long time that was not resoundingly rejected by donald trump himself for a very long time. It gave them power. To foithe point where you have n them having conferences in washington, d. C. And because of steve bannons, i said questionable history and things he said in breitbart, people who see this every single day, you cant tell me the sky is purple when we see its blue. Thats what the Trump Campaign has done. Seriously, scottie, seriously, scottie has to have the last word. Go for it. Its real simple. Racism is horrible. Its miserable. Unfortunately, those conferences have always been going on. Now unfortunately, though, the media is covering them, putting more of a spotlight on it which i dont think helps the healing process our country needs to be dealing with or dealing with the problem itself. Stop blaming the media. Please. Its an excuse. We are now covering a convention they have had for the last ten years. Got to leave it there. Thanks all of you. Enjoy your phone you too. All right, be cool. You got the amazing new iphone 7 on the house by switching to at t. What . . The battle to drive isis from mosul rages on in iraq. To the south, one town is still suffering even though isis left months ago. The terror groups scorched earth tactics left residents with a toxic legacy. Phil black has more. Reporter as isis retreated from this territory it transformed the landscape into this apocolyptic vision. The group blew up and set fire to 19 oil wells. We dont know the motivation. More ruthless vengeful destruction or perhaps the hope it would provide cover from air power above. The fires have burned since august, lowering the sky, concealing the sun, layering the earth and peoples lungs with toxic black filth. The heat coming off this fire is incredible. Its melted much of the ground around the well. The air, it is thick and foul. It really tastes terrible. It makes your eyes water. This is the poisonous atmosphere that people in this part of iraq have been breathing in and living with for months. Theres now a desperate effort to fix the wells. But the lead engineer tells me its a difficult complex process. He says you cant just put the fire out because that would release vast amounts of deadly fumes. First, earthmoving equipment is used to contain the fire and channel the flowing, bubbling oil into reservoirs. Then workers dig down through the flames while trying to keep the oil and their equipment cool as they haul out mounds of smoking sludge and earth. Gaze through the flames and you can see the fires redhot core. They need to get through all of this to find the head of the well. Only then can they determine the extent of the damage and what must be done to close it. Workers here say the nature of the job is always challenging and dangerous and in the beginning, they had to cope with isis as well. This man says you will be trying to dig out the fires and they will be shooting at you. You will be using the hose and mortars will start coming in. The group also left mines around the burning wells. Most havent been cleared yet. Its too early to accurately estimate the value of the wasted oil or the cost of the repair work. The final figure will be many millions of dollars. The human cost is more disturbing. Families live beneath the towering columns of smoke and a sky that always feels like twilight. Childrens faces and hands are stained by the same air they breathe. A dark shadow now hangs over their health, their future, because of yet another toxic legacy left behind by isis.
