Were not here to talk about brinksmanship. No one is here interested in a pause in government funding. Mr. Perry what were interested in is taking the biden boot off the neck of the American People. And the five weeks ive been gone, just give you a quick summary, car check rolling out of the department of labor. The department of justice, of course, continues to prosecute their political enemies while leaving criminals run rampant across our streets. The president disrespected and insulted the people of hawaii after their houses were burned down. Mayorkas is literally daring us to impeach him. He cant be bothered with whatever the law says. The people that i represent, american citizens, are now being forced to compete against workers, meme coming people coming illegally in the form of hundreds of thousands every single month across our southern border. The people in the city that i represent, the capital city of harrisburg, are dying from fentanyl this week. And theres not a damn thing being done about it. Not a damn thing being done about it. Were sick of the theater. Were tired of the washington theater. Go home and tell them anything. Tell them all that stuff. Nothing were doing is changing their lives. A government that tells you you cant buy the stove you want or drive the car you want is a government of tyranny. And theres no freedom in america. We didnt vote for it last december and were not going to vote for it now. The American People are sick of it. They cant afford their electricity bills. They cant afford the gas bill. And they damn sure cant afford the grocery bill. Were here to put our foot down and say to this place right here, it stops now. The power of the purse is in the legislature. And the way you stop all this craziness of the Biden Administration, the tyranny of the Biden Administration, is to stop giving them money. The budgets up 55 . Would anybody do that with their personal life . Nobody would to that. Thats 400,000 of new spending per new person. Its unconscionable what theyre doing. Were never going to get inflation under control. We got now if you want a mortgage, its over 7. 5 . If you want a car, your Interest Rate is at the highest in 23 years. If you have a credit card, highest rate on credit card in history. The Biden Administration, their economics is hurting all of our families. I thank god what the Freedom Caucus is doing in the house. If they dont stand up, nobody is standing up. They stood up on the debt ceiling and they fought for a great bill. Unfortunately it didnt end up that way but they fought for a great bill. Weve got to stop this insanity. On top of that, in my state weve had two hurricanes. I cant make sure the federal governments funded to even take care of disasters. The federal secretary of agriculture wont even give money to my farmers and my ranchers for the hurricane 11 months ago. So i have a bill that were going to get that done also. But thank god for these people standing up here or this will not change. Now im going to turn it over to this gentleman. Thank you, senator. Mr. Roy theyre fed up with a government theres out of control. And heres the thing. Our founding fathers, in creating this country, created separation of powers. It is incumbent upon those of us with election certificates, particularly in the house of representatives, but also the senate, to stand up at this end of pennsylvania avenue and hold the other end of pennsylvania avenue and the executive branch accountable. A president and an executive branch that is out of control. My question for my colleagues, particularly my republican colleagues, is when is it enough . When is it enough to stand up and do what you campaigned to do . And use the power of the purse to stop this administration from trampling the American People . Spending is out of control. Federal government will spend 2 trillion more than it takes in this year, to fund the very agencies and programs at war with the American People. Inflation is imposed at 17 tax on americans. Weve added 1. 5 trillion in debt since the socalled debt deal. We are now spending more on interest on the debt than we are in defending the United States of america. The department of defense is threatening our National Defense by turning our military into a social engineering experiment wrapped in a. In a uniform. Covid tyranny is rearing its ugly head again. It was announced today, c. I. A. Whistleblowers told the Covid Select Committee that the c. I. A. Bribed its own analysts to deny the Wuhan Lab Leak theory. Yesterday the f. D. A. Approved new covid19 boosters for children as young as 6 months old, and we havent even had clinical trials. Were funding a Health Care System broken by washington and big insurance while average americans foot the bill. Energy, were destroying our ability to have reliable energy, the inflation reduction acts 1. 2 trillion handout to unreliable wind and solar, Big Corporation and rich leftists, and the Chinese Communist party remain in effect right now. And perhaps most of all for texans, and particularly for new yorkers these days, perhaps people paying attention to a border that is so devastatingly broken, that americans are dying. How many moms do i have to sit next to in another round table in texas who lost their son or their daughter to fentanyl . How many migrants have to die in the back of a tractor trailer in san antonio, how many have to die in the rio grande, how many girls have to get sold into the sex trafficking trade before this body will wake up and stop an out of control president . Enough. Why would we fund that . [applause] thats my question for the republican leadership. Why will you fund that . Let me be very clear. I will not continue to fund a government at war with the American People. We are here to change it. It is time to end it. And im proud to stand with these patriots to do that. Im going to yield to the senator from utah, mike lee. Sen. Lee were 3 dz 3 trillion in debt were 33 trillion in debt for one reason. Were doing it wrong. This is how we do it. This is how we spend in washington. We tie every single spending item to every other spending item and then members of congress are told, youve got to pass all of it in order to get any of it. You want to fund the troops, you want to fund social security, you want to fund this, that or the other, you have to Fund Everything else in between. With no opportunity for individual input. So, this comes about usually as we approach the end of a spending period, as we now are, on september 30 well run out of money at midnight. At some point in the days leading up to that, typically what will happen is this. Small handful of appropriators will write something up with a push from the law firm of schumer, mcconnell, mccarthy and jeffries, and it will materialize. Just, shazam, here you go, from out of nowhere. Here it is. Usually theres a few hours to go. Youve got to pass this thing. And if you dont, there will be a shutdown. If theres a shutdown, well blame you for that. But, hey, vote how you want. You will have no opportunities to amend this. Youll have no opportunity to read it, to understand whats in it, to share it with your constituents, to object to it, to improve it, to cut it. Nothing. So the law firm keeps running the bills. And what happens is almost every member of congress is cut out of that process. And what that means is that the hundreds of millions of people that most members of congress represent are in turn cut out of the process. This process will continue and its deadly its deadly consequences will continue to devastate america until it no longer works. But it will work as long as members vote for this. Time for the American People to expect more. Its time to expect an actual process and for members of congress to have a say. Its now my privilege to turn the microphone over to somebody whose hair style i recently chose to emulate. Im here to talk about the millions of americans who dont care about a conversation about a shutdown. They dont care about a conversation about a continuing resolution. To them thats just d. C. Speak. Theyre feeling on the one hand the greatest inflation that we have felt in this country in decades, a direct result, a direct result not just of overspending, which is what a shortterm continuing resolution would continue to do, but coward isner, political cowardice, by men and women who were elected to do better than that. If you want the American People to continue to be disaffected, disillusioned, desperate for some sort of solution, then pass the continuing resolution. Talk about a shutdown, but in fact, thats not necessary. The house of representatives mustered 218 votes for a great piece of legislation that was fiscally conservative and then on another occasion, they mustered 218 votes for another great piece of legislation which my friend, fellow texan, chip roy, talked about, and that was securing the southern border. Let that be the guide. Thats the solution here. Only in d. C. Would this be complicated. And so for us at the Heritage Foundation, were really motivated by ordinary people, as all of these men and women behind me are, and i think about our new friend in texas who just in march of this year lost her mother and her 7yearold daughter because a human smuggler with 11 illegal aliens in his truck got into an accident with the two of them, passing a continue resolution funds the lawlessness and the bideninsecure border. It is imperative that we think more boldly than this and in fact thinking boldly in this case is just common sense. So the Heritage Foundation is very grateful to stand with all these patriots behind us and im grateful to turn this over to our friend, congressman ralph norman, of south carolina. Mr. Norman you know, i now believe that most politicians in washington, d. C. , dont believe in gravity. They just dont believe in gravity. You know, you can disagree with gravity, its not the fall that gets you, its the sudden stop. Well, were on a sudden stop with the economy here, folks. National issues of overspending, im tired of it. As this group behind me has said, and im not going to read you all the lists. You all know the overspending. But im tired of politicians campaigning on one thing and then not having the courage to back it up. Anybody, any republican, and i wont mention democrats, theyre bought and sold anyway, theyre going to vote for this, anyone who votes for a continuing resolution funded all of this stuff funds all of this stuff that is absolutely insane and puts us in dire conditions. And how many people, as has been mentioned have to die on the border . How many people have to get the phone call that i got, a good friend of mines son was shot and killed. He was Police Officer for 24 months. How long are we going to have the kick me on our back . Folks, now is the time, now is the time that we stand up and whatever it is, we got rode on the debt ceiling. Were not going to get rode again now. Were going to use our funds to defund as many things as we can. C. R. , im not voting for it, as many arent, because it funds all the bad things that we say we are against. The democrat governor of massachusetts just declared a state of emergency. The democrat governor of new york is begging washington for help. The democrat mayor of new york city says illegal immigration is going to destroy the city. All because the Biden Administration wont keep our nations borders secure. So i have the simple message, on behalf of our three million supporters, no security, no funding. Is it really possible that we are now standing eight months later and do not have a spending plan that 218 members are prepared to support on the floor . Can you possibly account for that if you are the person responsible . Why is it that every tough leadership proposal, every tough initiative that has been formed and offered and adopted in this republican majority has come out of these folks, the house Freedom Caucus . The limit, save, grow proposal. H. R. 2, very substantial. Why is that . Where are the other ideas from the remainder of the republican conference . Are we really walking into this month, this return from recess, a couple of weeks out from the spending deadline, and being told we have to support a clean c. R. . Really . I fought over the debt ceiling debacle and theres one idea that came out of it that epitomized the problem that we face. It was that the speaker said that he, on his own, unilaterally made the decision not to move the debt ceiling out to the First Quarter of 2024 when it would have played a central role in our next president ial election and the Debate Associated with that. But on his own initiative he decided to push it out to the beginning of next year, 2025. Why . Because he was concerned about entering into another negotiation with joe biden. Leave aside how astonishing that is in itself. But how does one who is leading anticipate in a divided government moving forward on policy issues critical to the American People unless theres negotiation . Unless theres an opportunity to negotiate . The opportunity to negotiate on behalf of the American People arrives again right now. And leadership means seizing that opportunity and doing something for the American People. Passificity passivity, standing still, giving in, telling us that the senate will jam us, that does not answer the call. Right. Well said. Mr. Bishop i yield to wade miller. Mr. Miller hi. I say that even though one of my grandmothers served in world war ii, both of my grandfathers served in world war ii, my father served in vietnam. I did three deployments in iraq. Just one example why i feel this way. Right now general c. Q. Brown has been nominated to be chairman of the joint chiefs of staff. Hes openly advocated for systemic racism and sexism in promotions. Thats a clear violation of the 14th amendment. What would happen if any other senior officer tried to predicate promotions to preference white males . Theyd be court marshaled. This man is being promoted. Why are we funding that . Over 1 3 of the senior military officers that are currently being held have espoused similar views. We have a weaponization of the d. O. J. And the f. B. I. Political opponents are being targeted and americans with different opinions are treated differently than those with regimefriendly viewpoints. Showing very real constitutional due process concerns once again. And i fully support impeachment, but impeachment is not a replacement for accountability through government funding and the power of the purse. We find ourselves hearing from those on the left right now, the very same people who shut down American Communities for well over a year, who destroyed tens of millions of families, small businesses, schools and churches, that they will block government funding if it happens to fix many of these problems. Thats problematic. Republicans should challenge them to do so by putting forward a c. R. That legitimately addresses these concerns, including Border Security, covid tyranny and the national debt. Finally, i applaud all of those conservatives standing here, signaling that enough is enough that, it is finally time for republicans to take a stand to protect americans. With that, ill turn it over to representative clyde. [applause] clyde clyde thank you mr. Clyde thank you, wade. Back in january we fought to fundamentally alter the way this institution works. We fought to restore the peoples house and while we were successful in delivering transformational change, our fight doesnt end there. In the early summer months, we fought against the Biden Administrationmccarthy fiscal irresponsibility act, because this spend, threat of deal was disastrous for our nations financial future. Now were faced with the battle of funding the government. And just as before, were not interested in giving up when the going gets tough. Were not interested in allowing washington to revert back to serving the swamp instead of serving the American People. And we certainly arent interested in rubber stamping the Big Government socialist agenda of joe biden, Chuck Schumer and nancy pelosi or their out of control spending levels or woke policies from the last congress. The country gave House Republicans the majority to change the course of congress. Green lighting a socalled clean or unqualified or blind c. R. Is completely out of the question. It would endanger the republican majority and endanger Speaker Mccarthys leadership. We will not kick the can of addressing excessive Government Spending down the road again in order to buy the uni party more time to produce yet another horrendous backroom deal. Such a decision would not only lead us to fail in delivering on our promises, but would ultimately fail the American People who sent us here to fix this broken system. As a new and conservative appropriator, my top priority remains passing each of the 12 appropriation bills in a conservative and if isically responsible manner if isically responsible manner, fiscally responsible manner. If our republican colleagues share this goal, then its past time that we put in the work to achieve it. Now in terms of a shortterm solution, i will oppose any c. R. That fails to include the qualification that my colleagues and i have outlined. That means the significantly increased Border Security of h. R. 2. After all, we all voted for it. Eliminating the weaponization of the department of justice and ending the woke policies that continue to undermine our militarys combat readiness. Furthermore, i will also oppose any additional blank check for ukraine. We simply cannot continue funding wasteful, reckless and woke policies that are destroying our great nation. Capitulating to the swamp is not an option. Its time to fight and win for real change on behalf of the American People. Id now like to turn it over to the president of freedomworks, adam brandon. [applause] thank you very much. The single greatest threat to the United States is not china, its not a. I. , its our debt. 32 trillion today. In less than 10 years, its 50 trillion. Are we all going to be back here in 10 years dealing with 50 trillion in debt . We know this problem is coming. Transferring all this debt to future generations is absolutely immoral. Its absolutely immoral. Im so proud of these folks for coming here and actually taking on this issue. Its a thorny issue. But whats really ironic to me is that a lot of these folks back here, id say a lot of millennial voters arent exactly supporting them, right . They tend to vote more left. This is the only group in town thats defending the millennial interests. Theyre standing here for future generations that dont even support them. Thats crazy. But i applaud them for doing this. I applaud them for stepping up for future voters. So in 10 years we dont have to have another stupid press conference about our debt. Lets start dealing with it now. Im going to turn it over to congressman good. [applause] mr. Good thank you to everybody for being here today. We have a republican majority and yet we are on the verge of a 2 trillion deficit with the republican majority and about to spend 7 trillion this fiscal year. We dont need a republican majority to do that. January was about us not doing what weve always done and expecting wed get a different result. January was about us, when we have the majority, not passing major spending bills with a majority of democrat votes. And yet we had a coalition of conservative policymaking going on through april. Until the failed responsibility act. And what was the failed responsibility act . That was when republicans and democrats came together, minus the people behind me, came together and raised the debt ceiling to an unlimited amount through january of 2025. As much as we in congress can come together and gleefully spend until january of 2025. If theres one thing congress is good at, its spending money. Thats why we have, as others have noted, 32 trillion national debt, on our way to 33 trillion. Probably 35 trillion by the time this congress is finished a year and a half from now. Over 100,000 per american citizen. With a republican majority. When we campaigned on fiscal responsibility, when we campaigned on cutting our spending, when we campaigned on fighting for republican policies and reversing the harmful bidenpelosischumer policies under which the American People are suffering today, and the days of reckless spending without consequence are over, were seeing record inflation, 40year high inflation because of the massive spending. Were seeing Interest Rates raised in a futile attempt to combat the inflation that weve caused through our spending. And those Interest Rates are further crushing the American People. And, yes, were seeing our Credit Rating lowered for only the second time in history, which further causes Interest Rates to go up and further oppresses the American People. And yet we cannot get our republican conference to come together and pass 12 appropriation bills on time that cut our spending with only the modest goal of going to 2022 levels overall, 2019 precovid, for nondefense discretionaries. That is a modest embarrassing low, 115 billion cut, when were running 150 billion monthly deficit. Theres some disagreement on how far we should go. Theres some disagreement on what policies to put first. But fight for something for the American People. They didnt elect a republican majority to cave to the democrats once again. I call on the speaker, we call on the speaker, to be a historic transformational speaker that for once stares down the white house, stares down the senate, and stands strong for the American People and says no. We can pass all of our appropriation bills, maybe not by september 30, unless, you know what, we work you guys are ready to work the last week in september, right . Dont send us home that last week in september. Keep us here to pass our spending bills, advance the republican priorities and cutting back to the precovid levels, and then if schumer wants another schumer shutdown, let him have it and let him defend it to the American People. So i stand here with my colleagues today in solidarity to fight for the American People and i yield now to Dave Mcintosh of club for growth. [applause] dave you all have heard very eloquent remarks today so ill keep mine brief. Woke deficit spending is ruining this country. And its time that it stopped. These men and women are the leaders carrying that message. Club for growth will stand behind them as they work with Speaker Mccarthy to bring forward a bill that stops deficit spending and runaway, ruinous deficits. I commend them and thank them for their effort. [applause] i want to thank you all for being here and thank you to my colleagues. The American People are sick and tired of funding the priorities of washington elites. The American People are sick and tired of woke and weaponized Justice Department. And the American People are sick and tired of a border that is so porous that we have hundreds of thousands of people coming across monthly. We have 85,000 children that are unaccounted for. I was just in tucson and i went south to the border. You have miles and miles of fence and roughly every quarter of a mile, our government, our government, has cut holes in the fence. The socalled deer crossings, there are no deer tracks. There was footprints, there was carpet shoes used by the cartel and there was paraphernalia. I found Birth Control of a woman who couldnt afford to pay her fare because she had to work it off on her journey. These policies of this inept, corrupt administration it, we cannot, we will not fund. Mr. Ogles it is time we draw a line in the sand and say, hell no. This economy is like the titanic. Its on a course. Theres a collision ahead and if we dont correct course, the outcome will be catastrophic. I yield to [indiscernible] i represent numbers u. S. A. Which is a Grassroots Organization that focuses exclusively on immigration. We represent over seven million americans in every state and every congressional district. Regardless of when you are a democrat or a republican or you live in a red district or blue district, the border crisis effects all of us. But the people it affects most of all are low income, working class americans and recent immigrants who have to compete with Illegal Immigrants for Health Care Resources and affordable housing. Their kids are in overcrowded public schools, their wages are stagnating, and their grocery bill is soaring. The house of representatives has already passed the solution to the border crisis. H. R. 2, the secure the border act. But its languishing in the senate. The only leverage the house now has to move h. R. 2 across the finish line is the constitutional power of the purse. Congress cannot continue to fund this administrations efforts to escort as many illegal aliens into the United States as possible under the guise of either illegal parole or catch and release. To do so would make Congress Complicit in the open border policies of this administration. The house must attach h. R. 2 in its entirety to the spending bill and pass that. No security, no funding. Thank you very much. And i am turning this over to thank you for being here. You have heard very eloquentlily from my colleagues, i appreciate the senators being here to support us. But this is the opportunity for the house of representatives to do its job. I want to i just got back from what we call the august recess. I want to share two things with you. First of all, last thursday night i was with a group of my constituents who are so frustrated with the federal government. The spending, the tyranny against the citizens. It was amazing to me to hear what they are so frustrated, even angry, about. The second thing is, i visited several food pantries in my district over the recess. Both of them, plus one just outside of my district, told me that their surge under bidenomics is worse than the covid surge. Think about that. Bidenomics is torching the american family. Those are two main street stories that i want you to focus on. Because we can talk theory, we can talk serves oteric theory all day esoteric theory all day long, but our families are hurting. Lets get the job done, lets do our job in the house of revs representatives. And ill turn this over to andy roth. Good afternoon. My name is andy roth. No security, to funding is the only sane and responsible path forward in a country where we are 32 trillion in debt, hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens are crossing the border unimpeded, and our Justice System is weaponized against the biden regimes political opponents. Pretending that these are not existential problems and trying to paper over these issues with increased earmark spending and yet another blank check for ukraine is actually insane. We have 135 state lawmakers in 11 states representing millions and millions of hardworking americans. In arizona, illinois, pennsylvania, south carolina, idaho, georgia, south dakota, wyoming, montana, louisiana, and mississippi our members are standing and cheering for you. Where the men and women were the men and women that represent the point of the spear and we speak your voice, feel your pain. 33 trillion of debt is crippling our nations future. Its got to be stopped. We have to change the trajectory of spending and we have written 12 Appropriations Bills, republicans, under republican majority, some of us worked on these bills for over a year. These bills are set to be passed. Theres a bit of a distkpwraeplt right now disagreement right now. We have faith, many of us have faith that we can yet overcome that difference and pass these Appropriations Bills that have transformative conservative language representative of everything that needs to happen to restore americas stability and financial security, our Border Security, sanity within our federal government to push back on the weaponized federal government bureaucracies that are focused and targeted on american citizens. We have an opportunity to save our country or lose it. And a lot of that fight is going to happen in the next two weeks. A continuing resolution we opposed, we already voted no on the omnibus. Asking us to support a c. R. That represents democrat policies and insane levels of spending that weve already voted no on. So were prepared to work with our colleagues within the republican conference to come together ultimately and pass these 12 proeplss bills Appropriations Bills. Were working right now, our offices and our staffs, to make that happen. We call upon the American People to stand with us. If we dont change the trajectory of spending, you Young Americans are not going to have a country. If 2 trillion in deficit spending this year, so the treasury prints treasury bonds, 20year treasury bonds, we sell those bonds to other nation states. Thats how you finance your deficit spending. What are you going to do . In 2043, what are you Young Americans going to do in 20 years when your federal government, with the full faith and credit of your United States treasury, are constitutionally bound to service 2 trillion of debt . In that year . It will be 1 5 of your federal revenue. Youll have no Discretionary Spending. The totallality of dis total amount of Discretionary Spending that were arguing over right now is less than the deficit that weve accumulated this year. You Young Americans better Pay Attention to who is actually fighting for you. Its the men and women that stand with me here today. I have a skwr coming behind me, pay close attention because he uses words with many syllables. We have a simple request for congress. Do your job. Its not enough to do investigations and reports. We need to stop the government corruption and abuse that is so concerning to the American People. In this new budget fight, were basically the old budget fight were being asked to pretend is new, an inflexion point. Are we going to continue to fund, republicans in the, how the wild abuse by the in the house, the wild abuse by the Biden Administration of its political opponents . And dont know what were talking about with a clean c. R. , i see a dirty c. R. A c. R. That will fund the worst of body politician dirty politics and corruption in our federal government. Theres a positive moral obligation right now, not next year but right now, to stop the abuses, the effort to jail trump on unprecedented charges in a way never seen before in american history. An obligation to stop right now the Biden Administration censorship of tens of millions of americans. The obligation to stop right now the illicit use of tax money to Fund Abortions in our military and elsewhere. We need to stop right now the attack on children through the promotion of transgender extremism. We need to stop right now the lack of Serious Investigation into the Biden Administration corruption, specifically biden corruption. We need a Justice Department or special counsel that has confidence in the American People. All of these issues can be addressed in this continuing resolution and if they dont want to address it, that suggests to me those who vote for it are on the side of corruption and those who oppose it are on the side of justice. Matt articulated a lot of those things today on the floor of the house. The fact of the matter is, lets be very clear, we talked about reducing spending. That was part of the agreement. We all know that and talked about it publicly and we havent done. That we talked about patsing a budget. We havent done that, right . We talked about having term limits, bringing the bill before, we havent done that. Thats what matt was getting at. The point here is we can go back and talk about the agreement, but the point here is the American People and the people suffering at home expect us to do our job. Thats the point that were dealing with here in september. Reporter one followup then or two, rather. One, is there a hard copy of that . I would love to see that. Mr. Roy im not going to get into that. Thats been asked and answered since january. Reporter are you of the same mindset as him, if theres a c. R. Introduced, youll motion . Mr. Perry we want to send them a message that they obviously have too much money, theyre weaponized and using the taxpayers money against the taxpayers. Were done with that. Yes. The facts take us to that location, thats where it will take us. It has nothing to do with the debt and deficit. They should be dealt with separately. The American People should not be forced to suffer under this economy where they cant afford their Interest Rates, credit card payments are through the roof, cant afford gas, electric, food, because biden needs to be to have an impeachment inquiry done on him. The president has earned that himself. Reporter do you think Speaker Mccarthy should have done a vote before [indiscernible] mr. Perry i think the impeachment inquiry is long overdue. I think any other citizen that had stacked up against him what the president had stacked up against him right now would already be in court. Reporter thank you for holding this press conference. Can you give us an update on where you are at on the defense appropriations bill thats in rules pretty soon and on the floor later this week . Mr. Perry let me be clear. The Republican Party always wants to defend the nation and always want to support our military. As a guy who spent 38 years in uniform, i understand that. But what were not going to do is say that were going to pass things without knowing what the plan is and knowing that it leads to the increased spending that is crippling our citizens. Were not going to do that. So were going to have to see the whole plan, is the point. Reporter before the recess we were hearing that you were going to talk over the recess about spending issues, about Appropriations Bills. What progress was made over these past it mr. Perry apparently its not enough progress because were standing here before you today. We had conversations but we need to get to it. We have a few days left and we need to get to it. Im willing to roll up my sleeves, im sure everyone of these folks every one of these folks, including senate candidates, would be willing to roll up their sleeves and get to work and finish this deal. We want to pass Appropriations Bills. That is our desire. We want them to be righteous, we want them tonight right number and we want them to recognize the failed policy of the Biden Administration and the crushing, crippling inflation that is caused. [indiscernible] reporter the speaker has previously said that he warned that [indiscernible] are you worried at all mr. Perry im not worried at all. These people are ready to work. Were going to be here working, if theres going to be an impasse in spending, were going to be here working on that. Right . So we can walk and chew gum at the same time. We can do two things at one time. So we can work on that, while we work on the inquiry. Thats what well do. Reporter the speaker said [indiscernible] leverage [indiscernible] mr. Perry if hes going to use it as leverage, were going to let the person people know thats the the American People know thats the leverage. I dont suspect hes going to do that and im make nothing claims that he would do that. I dont think it would be appropriate. Last question. Reporter what actual evidence do you have as opposed to allegations to show to the American Public that merits an actual impeachment inquiry and proves that today isnt just about mr. Perry i dont know reporter including speaker mccar for the same mccarthy for the sake of enacting political revenge mr. Perry we have the bank account, we can see maam, you can see that the homes that the bidens own cant be afforded on a congressional or senate salary. You also understand that its not normal for family members to receive millions of dollars from overseas interests. Those things arent normal. Thats not normal to have 20 shell companies. These things are not normal and it alludes to not only just widespread corruption, but money laundering, if not influence peddling itself. We also have the president the Vice President at the time on record saying that the prosecutor was fired. Well, son of a pitch, the prosecutor was fired. Because the prosecutor was going after the company that his son was working on. Thats what we have. If you cant see that, if youre that blind ill turn it over to the attorney. Reporter people think its political revenge. Mr. Perry because you dont report on it. Reporter were reporting on it today. Im not sure what you know the American People think but heres what they might wonder. If youre a federal prosecutor, you would be asking yourself, how can there not have been an indictment for a violation against hunter biden . How can there possibly my understanding and in discussions with staff have confirmed my impulse that this would be very much the basis of a foreign of a foreign corrupt practices act investigation, given the circumstances that we know. The question is, you know, its funny. Mr. Bishop after we come out of the events of, for example, john durham, for example, testified to our committees about how investigations preceded through our investigative agencies without proper predication. Its not that you have to prove the case, its not you understand to this point theres not been a single subpoena to a Hunter Biden Bank account. Or a joe biden bank account. Or any other biden family members bank account. Because until an impeachment inquiry commences, thats not a jurisdictional possibility. Well, it would be stretching jurisdiction to do that. But theres ample predication at this point in time based on that very unusual set of circumstances which is for no apparent payment for expertise or services rendered, biden family members writ large received over 20 million. Mr. Perry that we know of. Mr. Bishop it is very simple for someone to insist theres an absence of evidence but you can look in the face of that and contend that, anyone has a right to their opinion.
