That happens when you need to get in this case 216 votes but it is the best bill that takes into consideration all of the concerns and all of the goals and all of the values. I understand in a lot of cases some of it isnt a question of the policy. Its a question of the timing and some of the things that people want that are happening in phase three and phrase one, but as we addressed, the birth rule, most people this arcane thing, probably even in the house, that dont have to deal with it in the senate, that deals with whether or not if there is a, if it is loaded up with things that are stricken, then it doesnt serve us any good. I think we have put together a very comprehensive approach to addressing how to actually repeal and how to actually replace. I think president walked through with the house Freedom Caucus today several of administrative acts that secretary price would be taking in accord dons with the authority that was granted to him by the obamacare legislation and by some of the actions that secretary sebelius took back in 2009. There is a lot of concern among members about some of sequencing on things. I think we have continued to not this isnt just about policy. Some is about sequence and timing. The president , the Vice President , the rest of the team have done a lot to reassure them on the sequencing and how the thing will act. The democrats are united stopping any progress being made on that. And so i think the point that we have had to make over and over again i get it. In perfect world, if we have had 60 votes we could do this in very, very different way. Have much more comprehensive legislative strategy. Same way Democrats Use reconciliation as do we to undo it. There is reason its a threepronged threephase approach because the nature it has to get dealt with. A lot of folks, many are new to the process. Many want to sigh it done in a different way, were trying to do it in the most responsible way. So when it gets sent over to the senate we dont have to have a huge parliamentary fight, what is quote, byrdable or not. Most people dont want to fully appreciate the nuances of that, its a reality we have to face if we want to get it done. That makes a big, big difference of the peter. Reporter sean, yesterday when chairman nunes was here we heard his comments. Today behind closed doors he apologized to the committee not coming to them but going to the press. Any regret way he handled this, going to the president before speaking to members of his own committee. Why was it appropriate . Why does the white house believe it was appropriate for chairman nunes to give the information to the president regarding a investigation about the president s own associates during the campaign . Two things. As been asked before to ask me why he did something, he made a decision, hold on. You were getting there. I, you seen you enough of you peter. Know where you were going. Know where you were going. [laughter]. But the the reality is he made a decision. He briefed the press first, no one had a problem by the way in press corps getting briefed before anybody else. He went down and briefed your colleagues before he briefed anybody else. I dont hear too much crying about that. The reality is, then he made a statement. Im coming down to the white house to share this information with the president. As noted. He didnt give us a heads up. He made announcement. Coming down to the white house asking for time to share this with the president. Part of the reason to be believe to your question, to specifically to say there is a big difference between the any discussion about what is going on in russia and why this intelligence was picked up. His comments yesterday were very clear. The intelligence and the information that he picked up had nothing to do with russia. I think he had, he felt as though coring to his own words, had an obligation to make sure the president knew what he had discovered. Thats it. Plain and simple. Reporter to be clear, appearances matter on this, doesnt the white house have a concern that creates the appearance that there was potentially interference by the president he was included in conversations about the investigation before it was completed . My concern to be perfectly blunt with you, is that it is always, you seem to have an obsession with the process and not the substance. At some point no, no. Hold on. Reporter president wants conclusion. He asked for it. Why didnt he ask for details before it was completed . Because chairman nunes said, i will make it clear, because he said he wanted to make it very clear that the discussion and the revelations that he had were not, did not regard anything to do with russia and he wanted the president to understand that but there seems to be this obsession with the process. You how did he get here . When did he go . What was the reaction . At some point there should be a concern about the substance. That is a very serious revelation that hes made what happened during the 2016 election with respect to our side. Some of the things that happened. And at some point i would implore, urge, beg, some of you to use some of your investigative skills look what actually did happen. Why did it happen . What was going on back there . Who knew wt when . There should be a similar concern as opposed to figuring t whether he took a skateboard or car hoare exactly what happened and why it happened. The reality whether he briefed us first or he briefed the democratic members, that is up to him to decide. The substance what he shared should be troubling to everybody, and that is what i think is the important thing. I think that is an important so i think, yes, the president did, it was helpful for the president to know that the investigation as he had asked for was starting to bear fruit. I think equally important thing to note about yesterday was part of what chairman nunes said, it had nothing to do with these allegations and narrative about russia. I think that is very, very important narrative to be clear on. Reporter are they going to meet again . After the conversation, they spoke directly, did the president accept chairman nunes as findings that there was no wiretapping at trump tower which he said yesterday . Well, one, i dont think, first one wasnt planned. There is nothing planned for the chairman to come down again. Yes, yes, what chairman nunes said is that there was evidence of surveillance that occurred during that, during the election. That is important to note. Again i think the obsession is with the process how he got here, what time he left and who he briefed first as opposed to substance of the issue.
