This area has been the scene of terror attacks. Last year a little ways down from where this happened, a car rammed into both pedestrians on a bridge leading to the houses of parliament in the front of the building itself, leaving casualties in his wake, terrorism was a cause of that. Police are not saying this is a terror act but they are moving fast. The area has been tightened up considerably in the past year and in past years with walls of security barriers to prevent this from happening again.
