coverage with his repetition of the same line about president obama. i think that is brought in some question marks about him. i don't know if it will impact his results. it is a factor. when you talk about jeb bush, evidence that he has momentum to go beyond a sickle digit result. there could be a surprise -- the aunt a single digit result. they could be a surprise. with governor christie, he at a very powerful performance this past saturday on the debate. the question is can he overcome what is some high negatives. eric: what are we seeing in terms of how the anti-establishment message and the experience argument are playing out in new hampshire? fernando: i think the generalized anger in the country -- the new hampshire voter seem to be more pragmatic and less ideological. the idea that not quite has wicked. >> it is still blustery. we are causing concerns up north although central portions of the state are doing that her. 36 degrees in ames. watch out for lowering snow concerns to the north early this morning. the wind will eventually settle down this afternoon. des moines is cold out there. we still have a couple of leftover flurries but no more accumulations are expect it. visibility will be improving in northern iowa. tomorrow, a quick shot of snow is headed our way by the accident. >> we want to give you look at the road conditions. interstate 35 still closed in both directions from ames to clear lake. travel is not advised on the roads showing up in purple and the areas nearby in pink are snow. blue is partially covered. most of the region are now blue or green meaning they are either partially covered or just fine. but it is very difficult driving up north. >> i couldn't see two feet in front of my car. eric: keith lacati is one of those drivers who tried to brave it but had to stop. the blowing snow is bad enough but a jacknifed semi also caused a standstill on highway 20 near fort dodge. 40 to 50 drivers stuck there for nearly two hours. fortunately no one was seriously injured. we do also have some school delays reporting this morning so far, no schools have closed. you can find the delays on the bottom of your screen and on kcci.com. shaina: final decision. and we're hoping to hear more today about a new plan to legalize medical marijuana in the state. the bill would allow growing it for cannabis oil and legalize dispensaries. it would also make it legal to carry the drug across state lines. the bill failed in iowa last year. supporters are expected to be at a news conference today at the statehouse to unveil the new legislation. eric: more discussion of traffic cams are underway at the statehouse. a new proposal would require city clerks to process the all -- to process all of the fines. the clerks would replace private looking at raising the speed limit on iowa's two-lane highways. the register reports there are two versions of the legislation. one would increase the speed and another that would increase it to 65. the dot is warning any increase would mean more deadly crashes. it would also cost about $5 million to implement the changes. and gas prices are still falling . we found the pilot truck stop in urbandale with the very low price of $1.45 a gallon. but get this. many areas of the country nearing one dollar. the cheapest gas in the nation right now is in oklahoma city , look at that. $1.11 a
